And after they claimed it was able to be turned on and nothing was wrong with it, I asked for them to prove it and show me. The employees have a policy that they aren't allowed to show you or take you in the back to make sure your PC works before leaving. R went in large selection. explained to sales rep what I wanted 5 minutes later I'm out with my computer. i have monomial use for devices but have wasted a year messing with this unit paid out a couple of hundred dollars for services from different services th make it work the whole I'm thinking it is operator error ME. Brought my PC in to be assessed, after a day, all I was told "it's the motherboard" by the person at the front. Absolutely no paperwork was done and I had to call the front desk and ask for the technicians phone # to get a true description of what they actually did which was putting more thermal paste on (which was not the problem at all) this all cost 100$.... A Microcenter in Atlanta charged me 40$ to evaluate/fix my PC's-CPU in 3 hours and there's one opening up nearby in January. Save your time and money. read more

Recently made the trip to J&Y on Independence in Charlotte to find me an HP laptop. I managed to get a model better than the one I was looking at and they even cut me a deal on the price. Now I have a great HP Probook and I am extremely happy with it. I would recommend J&Y to anyone looking for a great used computer at great prices. My HP even came with a 3-month warranty. I took my laptop in to repair the charging port. My warranty does not cover charging ports. I was asked to pay 128$ upfront. The man seemed confident that it would be an easy fix, so I went ahead and paid him. My laptop was working and charging just fine until a little piece broke off in the port. It continued to work until the battery died. He told me that after replacing the port it still didn't charge and it would be too expensive to fix. He said he had some laptops he could show me. He sells used Laptops. When I went in I asked if he thought my warranty would cover what was wrong. He said that they (HP) would just send me a new one. When I got home I noticed that the port wasn't replaced. He gave my laptop back to me in the same condition and kept my money. I went back in and asked for my money back since it wasn't fixed. He said no because he had to buy the part. But, he had kept the part for himself! He agreed to put the new charging port back in since he would not give me my money back. I believe he damaged my computer. The system board had to be replaced. Don't go here. read more
