Well, first I would like to say, My mother & I walked into this business establishment as they are close to us, and plunked down enough money for 2 re built machines. One is a Dell 755 Mini chassis with Linux Mint and the other is a nice small Dell laptop with Win. 10 and a supposed new battery and a SSD. Over $300.00! When I got around to installing mine which, as I said is the 755 Desktop tower, the OS was locked with a password under the name "Owner" . Being on a Saturday it happens he is closed on weekends. But this man gave me his word as well as his associate there was no passwords on any of the machines, I proceeded to call him. His name is Don Blowers. When I got a DND reply I texted him to please straighten this password out for me as it is nearly un usable without being able to run the updates the older distro required. He told me there was no password on this machine-I said there was and he proceeded to tell me he would break someone's fingers if they put a password on any of his machines! That was my first "Huh"? Already talking violence and bodily injury to whoever has put the password on his machine. That should have been my "You better just not deal with this angry man any further and take the computer somewhere else, or re install Mint myself" decision, but no! He is contractually obligated to warranty anything OTC for 30 days! I would say this should qualify? So as I walked in the door this morning with my desktop machine I had to unplug everywhere and take BACK to HIM for HIS mistake, they begin shouting 12345! at me, he and his co-worker said it was 12345! (It could NOT have been 5 digits, the OS would not accept it when I tried to myself) They were lying and I called him on it! I said No it is NOT 12345! & Why didn't you tell me this Saturday when I talked to you? He said he did! Another lie-I was told 123123. Which was worthless. Within a flash the owner came at me and took my computer from my hands when I had it on his test counter waiting to see him use that passkey to unlock my machine, and took it outside and either dropped or set it on the cement sidewalk and told me to get the hell out of there! Take my computer with me, a very angry and aggressive man Mr Blowers. feeling threatened I called the police who came down and talked to me and I told them, all I want is what is owed me under written contractual agreement and unlock my OS so I can go on about my day! My Blowers then forbade me to come on to his property (Strip mall) so i moved down one business and sat on a bench waiting for my call to come down! To which Mr. Blowers came out and told me to have a nice day because I was going away with them. I said I am going nowhere, I have done nothing wrong! If I am skipping around it is because this man has serious anger and rage issues and came at me with ill intent and I have terrible anxiety issues... spoke to me like garbage! A paying customer-Garbage! Just because I KNEW a little more about Linux distros than he thought I did and 12345 would have not been accepted-too short. I tried to do it myself! I know for a fact that was never the password or there wouldn't have been such a threatening show of his authority as "LLC" of this company and quite larger in stature than me, I might add. I was afraid of this man, so I called for help and if anybody in the Monroe area needs a computer repairman? Stay as far away from Mr. Blowers as you can, he falls into fits of rage and I fear could harm someone during one. The police took in my machine and he told them it would take more than 30 minutes! HUH? If it's a simple 12345 pass code, hook it all up on the bench and simply remove it and at most would take 5-10 minutes! When The kind and very helpful police officer brought me the machine out, I am instructed to not come on his premises again! I have a 90 day warranty on my computer! If I have an issue?, well that may be something for legal counsel... with that anger and temper.. This is a very very BAD way to to business with the public, folks! I will advise any of you all too! I just entered the store wearing a mask to pick up my PC. No employee in the store was wearing a mask. The owner tried to shake my hand and I refused. I said it was because of the pandemic. His response was what pandemic? Immediately started talking s*** and conspiracy theories about how the virus is fake. There are plenty of places to get your PC fixed. This place has a crazy owner that will mock you for wearing a mask. I will never use this business again. Don't go here. read more
