The service manager (Bill Hendry) lied straight to my face. I had my vehicle in for a routine brake fluid flush as per the manual. The guy said that my brake pads were down to 1/32" and the price quoted was ridiculously high. I deferred and went to another shop for another estimate. The other shop said my brake pads were fine. Last year, I ordered a Soft Roll Up Tonneau cover from General Motors and paid for a delivery and installation fee to have it sent here. I had an appointment set up for 7:30 am. I waited until about 9ish, and then I got my truck back, and the mechanic showed me how to close the cover. When I got home, I realized that the shop did not put both of the hook loops onto my truck. I had to call back JBA Chevy and speak to Gerry show as attentive in finding the missing part. After emailing him photos he managed to find the part. I had to, unfortunately, go back. Which, in theory, is not bad, right? Well, I live on Kent Island and this time of the year traffic is just hell on earth. I sat in about 45 mins' worth of traffic and came back to JBA, and they had to pop out the tonneau cover and install the loop that was missing on the right side they forgot to install (more on the popping out the cover in as second). Gerry apologized and was very helpful in that But then when i was driving over the weekend I realized the cover was not properly secured. It was originally (despite missing the loop) I went to unroll the cover and then realized something, the right side that had to be popped out to install the loop was not properly secured after the fact. So instead of driving back to Glen Burnie (AGAIN) I carefully examined and safely popped the part back into the Tonneau cover. Gerry is great and I would give him 5 million stars if I could, but I am extremely disappointed that the services department has screwed me (twice) on what should have been a simple process. I would have gone to the place I bought my truck originally (Bob Bell Baltimore), but the drive was out of the way, and JBA was more convenient in terms of distance. But I have 0 intention of coming back here, which is ashamed because I was planning to come here for all my future oil changes (including one I have coming up) so instead I will either go to Bob Bell Chevy in Baltimore or I will go to Herich Chevy GMC Buick in Easton for all my future service needs. This place is a swindler. I took the truck to JBA ON Tuesday because my truck kept stopping while driving and not working etc. I informed them of the code that came up P0300. They get the truck then tell me they don't see the recall, technical bulletin 18-NA-115 for Chevy traverse. Not only did they tell me there's no recall, but when I brought them the truck they told me they checked everything and that there were no issues. I then the truck stops on me less than a week later with the same issues, it took for the AAA guy to talk and explain the same situation to them for them to do more checks. The check engine light was on when AAA got here, surprisingly, when it's in JBA's possession, it's now off and they claim it to now be the alternator. Telling me the truck is off and operating on the battery, as to why the truck cuts off and won't cut back on. This place is just trying to get your money. That is what this situation showed me. I also have the paperwork from Auto Zone that shows the error code and of course JBA says they have no record of that code. read more

When I got my car back from JBA Chevrolet in Glen Burnie, MD on January 15, 2026 I noticed that it had a little less gas then I originally thought I had. I thought I might have been mistaken ​​ until I found a woman's black headband in the backseat of my car that did not belong to me or to anyone in my family. There has been no else in my car. I can't prove that someone else was driving my car but I do know that someone was in there who should not have and that headband was not there before I took it to JBA.​ I would have given them 5 stars because the service was excellent but I'm concerned that someone was in my car that should not have been. read more

They are liars! After working with them a month ago I was told I would have to wait until December to make my deal work. I was fine with that. Then, they called me and said if I come the end of November I can come because the deal is still good. I showed up and the deal was not still good!! They just wanted to get me in there because they thought I was going to bend and make a different deal that would have resulted in a much larger car payment. He (possible his team)took extra care of my SUV by cleaning my car inside and a car wash. Looks brand new. He was buff out my side door. It's been almost 4 years since my wife and I bought our Traverse from this dealership. I felt it was time to share my experience with J.B.A. My experience was bad from the start. I went to J.B.A. from the beginning because there was a Traverse there for me to test drive and I was led to believe that there were Traverse's available for purchase. J.B.A was about an hour away from my house and when we got there, we were lied to by the sales receptionist. There were no Traverse's available but there was one available to drive. In defense of the dealership, we were looking to buy during Covid. We test drove the Traverse and I was really happy with it. My wife and I made the second wrong decision and continued doing business with Jason. He did his sales pitch and told us our Traverse would have all these features without us even looking at it. The paperwork we signed even listed the features we had. That was lie #1. We signed the paperwork before Thanksgiving and were promised we would have the car before Thanksgiving. That's lie #2. Lie #3 came when we were told we would have the car by Christmas. The excuse we kept receiving was the car was stuck on a train. By January, I had enough and spoke with the sales manager who gave the same excuse about being stuck on a train. Later that week, magically, there was another Traverse in the same color that was available. It had a different VIN number. The catch was, this Traverse didn't have the most up to date safety features. It didn't have the mirror indicators or some of the other features that we were promised. Unfortunately, the car we were trading in had expiring tags. We were trying to avoid spending hundreds of dollars on renewing them. We were stuck with this car. As of today I love driving my Traverse and enjoy the service department but still regret buying a car from this dealership with all the lies. read more

dropped my compa fleet vehicle of on wednes after a mishap on the road. I get a call about 2 hours later. they service dept said they look at it give me a call back the next day with the solution. the service advised me that the vehicle needed a few things and I'd be ready Friday Monday at the latest. then I get a call Friday saying it was done. I wait till Monday to pick it up. I get here and I'm being told no it's not yours that ready it's the other one that was a mistak, that's a big mistak. the advisor says it will be ready by 12 noon, I check with him at 1215 he says let me check, comes back and says about 45 minutes to an hour. that advisor then goes to lunch. then almost 40 minutes later another advisor comes and says it's going to be another hour about. I came in with the idea of picking the truck up, I got here at 10am. being told to begi with that it was about 2 hours for the completion, 4 hours later I still have no real Idea of when it's going to be ready. The lack of organization and time they quote is very unorganized and the lack of respo they take for their own faults is far worse! You better of going into Jifry Lube to get any kind of factory recalls, or maintenance done! I haven't considered JBA Chevy in over 15 years. I need an air bag re:NHTSA faulty air bag recall. This is for my '13 Silverado purchased at CarMax. So here I am reviewing reviews because JBA is local to me. WOW 15 years since I dealt w/JBA service and the same BS across the board; sales, service, hood wink, bait & switch, simple service for mortgage costs, scams, selling rust, cockroach behavior. My first encounter with JBA I tried to purchase a Camaro SS. Printed MSRP and 3-4 other dealerships cost of internet for exact car or better and tried to negotiate with JBA sales. They were outrageously higher and were just ignorant. Left went to Sport Chevrolet and purchased that day. Here's what I've owned since saying f*ck JBA. Camaro SS (New / Sport Chevrolet) Silverado SS (New / Sport Chevrolet) Trailblazer SS (New / Sport Chevrolet) Used: 1999 Suburban 2002 Camaro SS 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 2010 Blazer 2012 Shelby GT500 2013 AMG C63 2014 Shelby GT500 Not once did I consider JBA for ANY if the above purchases or service because of their awful reputation and business process. I'm definitely in the market for a new Corvette C8 in the coming year. JBA is not even remotely on list of dealers I would consider. I am literally located 15 mins from JBA. Lastly, my last encounter with JBA involved service on my 2008 Trailblazer SS. It had a high gear (overdrive) transmission issue. This was a warranty repair. I didn't want to drive far in case any additional damage occurred so JBA was reluctantly encountered. I emphatically told the service intake to call me if cost approaches a new transmission as I will pay the difference. JBA never called and performed thousands of $$$$ of repair on the transmission, same cost as a new transmission. I was livid!!! Then the roaches kept trying to upsell me an oil change and when I declined they literally badgered me to buy windshield wiper blades for $50 before I departed. So that's my JBA life lesson for all to review. read more

Bought a car from them last week. They placed a false advertisement online about the car having 40/20/40 bench seat truck. Instead, the vehicle was a 5 seat truck. Either way, the salesman Mark was polite and helpful, and I really liked the truck. The finance manager was the opposite, no patience, short answers, and annoying (almost walked away because of his attitude). He got annoyed because I wanted to READ the documents I was signing. How dare I try and read the documents that say I am giving them thousands of dollars. I mean if you work customer service you should learn a little bit of customer service. read more

J.B.A.Chevrolet Buyer be aware!!! The sales person Adele was awesome, super friendly. I highly recommend him! Our finance person Shannon was amazing, she worked with us to get to the price we could afford. All the problems are at the service department.... And the service department is who you need for many years to come.....Which is why I do not recommend buying from them. When I purchased this vehicle, I was told if anything went wrong with it within 30 days, to bring it back and they will fix it. We also purchased a warranty. One day after driving my 2019 suburban off their lot, it started to vibrate at idle. The service park assist light also came on. We bought the suburban on a Saturday. We called and made a appointment and it was dropped off the following Monday. On Thursday Moses called and told us they would cover the park assist alarm, but the vibration is being caused by the motor mount, and they will not cover it bc it isn't causing malfunction yet. They quoted me $3300 to change the motor mount bc it will take them 13 hours to do so and it may or may not fix the vibration. I informed them that I just paid $43 thousand (not including tax, title etc) and now they want me to pay them $3300 to fix this motor mount that may or may not fix the vibration seems ridiculous. I asked if they are sure it doesn't need a tune up considering it has 91 thousand miles. Moses said "no, bc if it needed a tune up, it wouldn't have passed md state inspection". I then asked him who inspected the Vehicle and by no surprise... one of their techs did. I asked well are you 100% sure it's the motor mount, he said yes. He also told me that the vibration is normal and so I asked if it was normal when it was brand new in 2019 and did someone drive off the lot with it vibrating, and he said yes. My husband who is also a mechanic, called them bc he knows they are trying to get over on me since I'm a female. The service manager then tells him that there is a service bulletin that says the vibration can be caused by many different things.... So obviously if there's a service bulletin on how to fix it, then something needs to be fixed. I'm really hoping I can edit this review and say that they decided to do the correct thing and honor my "30 days".......TBD. Edit to add.... They came to the conclusion that the vibration is a luxury problem and not mechanical so they are not fixing it. If you come here and want luxury...run. They won't fix anything if it's broken and is only luxury. read more

I was attempting to buy a truck (from out of state), and my state has crazy emissions standards. As I've talked to many out of state dealerships, the emissions thing is a key question. Most just tell me I'm fine, in efforts to sell me a truck, and not worry about my future issue when I drive it back home!? Jim Day, took the initiative, and researched the question, going to the length of even calling the GM factory, to best understand my answer he was going to give me. And after all that, my answer was unfortunately, the trucks they had couldn't be driven in my state. A tough break, but an honest answer, and great example of someone truly going the extra mile to settle things. Thanks again Jim. read more

Leased my vehicle from J.B.A. in 2023 and had pleasant experiences until recently. Horrible service department. Unable to accommodate me with a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. Service manager was awful in his approach and lacked skills to handle a higher level of service. Did not offer to look for part from other dealerships to get my vehicle serviced same day. No accountability shown when I proved my scheduled appointment and outright dismissed me as a customer. He can use some customer service 101 training and how to be a better manager. Service director was slightly better to talk with about my situation but offered no more than the service manager. Overall won't be going back EVER!!!! Took my vehicle to Ourisman Chevy of Bowie with no appointment and they took GREAT care of me SAME DAY. Very accommodating from my service advisor Jamiyah and service director Grant. Even my shuttle driver Don was great!!! Go elsewhere if you want better service than J.B.A.! I see why they have 1 star ratings. read more

I called the service department and they refused to offer me a comparable car to use while they repair my car. I have a 2021 Chevy Suburban there have been several issues and recalls that have been addressed. However, it has a premium sound system and you cannot get sound out of the rear speakers unless you have the fade set completely to the rear. I have had this vehicle back to JBA Chevrolet several times and each time they tell me this is a "known Chevrolet issue" and that's the way that it is. When you come to look at a car please have your mechanic look over the car before making a purchase. Also look over the carfax report before making a deal or purchase. Do not trust the company unless what they say is in print in regards to the vehicle. They have a disclaimer on the cars telling you this. Please listen to them, they are 100% correct. Unfortunately my car salesman told me the van did not have a timing belt, but a chain and that did not need to be changed. Unfortunately it did, which is around 1,000 dollars. If you visit this car shop, take the car to your mechanic to look it over. I am very disappointed in myself for trusting the salesman and company. read more

About two weeks ago I went to J.B.A. Chevy to buy a new Bolt. My salesman Mr. Marty was extremely helpful and very to the point, which I greatly appreciated. The process was easy and would have been quick also, but they were quite busy at the time (all the financiers were with other customers), however I didn't mind the wait. I came in with a loan offer from my bank, and J.B.A. gave me a lower interest rate and better term length. They were also kind enough to charge up my new Bolt while I waited. This is a service rating... First the service people have all been very nice, most of them get 4 and in a few cases, 5 stars. Generally, they are as polite and efficient and perform their jobs as you would expect most car dealers to do. The shuttle driver guy gets 5 stars. I'd like to take off a half a star for things generally taking a while on appointments but I have to round up for the niceness of the staff on the whole. That said, let's cover the objectionable practice of telling he customer that if they fill out the manufacturer's (Chevy) satisfaction survey with anything less than 5 stars, some bad thing will befall the service rep who handled the job. No thanks, I like my ratings to be accurate, not to be manipulated by guilt-tripping. I take off a star for that. Second, when a dealership has taken in a car that is early for an appointment, it would help to either actually do at least some of the work (maybe the simple stuff) or call as soon as possible (8:30am, 9, 10... noon maybe, before the end of the school day (when the car is needed), to let the owner know that no work has been or will be done (not even the oil change or the balancing of tires also on the ticket) and then finally (at 4:15 pm) call and ask the owner if they want to leave the car overnight or make a special trip in traffic to pick up the car before closing. First time it's happened but really unacceptable. I take a star off for that. No thanks. Not only will I not be back, I'll let others know what happened. read more

Took our vehicle in for what was to be warranty work, was sent pictures of so called rodent damage the said there was a nest near the top of gas neck where the sensor was crooked and snapped but no chew damage and when husband went to see the damage in person there was no nest available. Later when I spoke to another service manager there they said the nest was in the shop vac. I asked why didn't they show it to my husband when he requested it. They were very rude and uncaring. Called corporate chevy to complain and was told that the customer is never right but their technicians are. We both are not novices when it comes to mechanics family works in the industry. Waiting on call from GM at JBA. I will never take my vehicle there again and being a long time customer, our family are repeat buyers and use this dealership to fix major items with our vehicles I will never buy from JBA or get work done by them again. read more

I purchased a 2013 Honda Pilot in 2020 from this dealership and I wish I had not. First the salesman had me purchase a 10k warranty for the engine and transmission, which I never used. Within the first 90 days the timing chain, hoses and some other items in the engine went bad. They fixed them with no issues because they new they sold me a lemon and the warranty did not cover the issues, because the issues were listed under "regular maintenance" and were not covered by the warranty, of course. The only part of the warranty that I used and still use is the tire warranty. In using that someone in their shop replaced my spare with a regular smaller sized vehicle spare when I last had a tire issue and had it repaired in their shop. Since I do not go under my truck for any reason I did not notice this until last week when my tire went flat and I had to have someone come out and put the spare on and saw it. I wasn't going to say anything about this initially, but when I took my truck up to them today to have the tire repaired I was told I had to come back tomorrow because they did not have the tire in stock. I was surprised, since I made this appointment last week. I figured someone would have checked the inventory to make sure the tire was in stock. The mechanic who was servicing my vehicle had no concern of me driving a small spare on the road back home and them back up there to have the tire replaced, at all. I was not offered to leave the vehicle there and have the sedan take me home and pick me up, when the truck was ready or anything. I called and spoke with the service manage he apologized about how I was treated while I was there, but he did not offer to do anything about the missing spare. Now I will have to of course, which I expected, come out of my pocket for a used full sized spare, just in care this tire blows at a later date. I would not buy a vehicle from them again. I don't often review companies, but I ironically has such a terrible time buying a used car for my teenage son at a different dealership that I had to return to JBA just to give a good review! JBA treated me with respect. They had a reasonable price without enormous hidden fees. When I made a warning light go off through stupidity the day after I bought it, they handled it flawlessly. They didn't pull one dirty trick. If this seems like "of course a good company should do that"--i assure you that was NOT the experience I had with two other dealers when trying to buy my kid's car. I took my car in for an oil change and they told me that my brake pads were in the red and that I needed to replace all 4 of them. They quoted me 815$ just for brake pads! I could not believe it! I have never heard of brake pads costing that much to replace! I told them that I would have to come back and get them done a different day and proceeded to shop around for someone cheaper. I ended up taking my car to a different shop with much more reasonable prices and they told me that I definitely did not need new brake pads, my rear brakes look brand new and that the front brakes had at least 20,000 more miles on them. Worst customer service in the industry. Service department was rude. Brought my truck in two times in the last 2 weeks to fix an issue. Why it was not fixed the first time around I do not know. I got the run around and paid over $700 for the services. While thinking about trading my vehicle in for a newer truck I sat with a sales rep, Rocky, who was fantastic. Only reason I am giving a star. He asked if I got a rental from the service since they had my vehicle for multiple days. I said no. He said that was very odd. The first time I brought my truck in they had the truck for 4 days. Nobody called for 2 days giving me a status. I had to call multiple times and finally they said it slipped through the cracks. I work 6 days a week. I need to figure out ride situations and they could care less. I go to get my truck. Get in to my truck to drive away and notice all of my center consul belongings were scattered on the passenger seat and floor. Dirty hand prints on the dashboard, center consul and screen. I had the manager look and he did nothing. If you move something put it back where you found it! Do not go there for service!!!! read more

My husband and my Chevrolet Silverado was saying reduced engine power and service esc. We take it to the certified Chevy dealer and they didn't have the part. We gave it to them on a Thursday and on Friday they said the worst we were looking at was we would get it back Monday or we could pick it up while we wait for the part. Fast forward. It has been more than a month. Still no part. There is no part is the U.S. apparently and we must wait. Our truck was running prior to us giving it to them. They gave it back to us and it is 10x worse than it was. It is having all sorts of computer glitches now and we can't even turn it on. Prior to the reassembly of the certified dealership, we were Not having a multitude of computer problems. Now we are. What the hell did they do to our truck??? I would NEVER recommend Chevrolet. Avoid it at all costs. I have lost all faith in their company. We have a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado which has a lot of electric components that control the truck. They want people to buy electric cars but they don't have the parts. They want you to buy a newer car but they have faulty sensors... read more
