I should have checked out the reviews before going, would have saved me a lot of time. I made an appointment to see a car in Woodbridge, only to get there the next morning to find they had moved the car overnight to Maryland. I drove out there the following day. The cars all have a "Certified Pre-Owned" sticker on them even though they are sold as is. They wouldn't let me take the car to an independent mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection, but offered to pull the Maryland service inspection records for me, which I agreed to. Nope turns out they couldn't do that either, it would take over 24 hrs. They offered to let me take it to a mechanic of their choosing for an inspection, which they would pay for out of the kindness of their hearts. Highly suspect. As we were working through all of that, they broke down the numbers on the car I was looking at, trying to sell me all kinds of add-ons. When I said I didn't want any add-ons, they said they couldn't sell me the car without add-ons. Period. I walked out. Some very shady tactics going on here that could cost people a lot of money. I had applied online and was told I was preapproved, knowing how gross car dealerships usually are I was hesitant to come by, I told Jeffrey I had no down payment, bad credit and he assured me I just needed my paystub and my ID, so I took an Uber and wasted three hours of my life, was told to fill out a survey when we weren't even halfway done, and then told there was nothing that they could do. If I could give this dealership negative numbers I would. This is my second vehicle from Eastern's and I returned because of the previously reasonable experience (after all, they are used cars). Regrettably, this time it was horrible. First, I told the salesman several times that I did not want any additional warranty outside of what was included in the price. He added it anyway which cost me an additional $1,200. They refused to remove the charge but instead indicated that they would cancel the deal and charge me for mileage on the vehicle. Ridiculous. Next, despite it being "certified" I have had 3 recurring issues for which they have refused to accommodate. Finally, I have discovered multiple areas that were repainted along with at least one area that had bodywork performed while the CarFax report indicated no damages. I am proceeding with CarFAX for satisfaction on this situation. I have lots of photos. Finally, I was called and asked to pick up my license plates after letting them know to send them to me. I just arrived home from work (45 miles in traffic).The dealership called almost 2 weeks after "purchasing" my vehicle to return to the dealership. Then threatened to be charged $50 a day and 20 cent per mile if i don't come in. The reason was due to the financial institution not allowing a 2nd car loan and Eastern have not been paid. Easterns "thought" my 1st loan was a total loss. Not sure how when I explained my entire situation. Also a total loss would require a letter from the insurance or bank. Which makes this even more ridiculous. Made it seem like it was my fault. I don't work for them or the financial institution. Clearly i cannot solidify my own loan. Excellent service all around. From the moment Rico stepped out and started talking to us, he was nothing but helpful and honest. He listened to our whole speel of how we had no idea what kind of truck we wanted and sat with us trying to narrow it down based off of our needs. He made sure not to pressure us towards anything at any time and gave us the appropriate alone time to discuss what we were thinking. We left after looking at a couple, still not know what to do, but having one in mind. When I walked in I was greeted by friendly warm smiles, they were eager to help me felt like a celebrity lol the office was clean brand new everyone in the place seemed nice was offered donuts and drinks. I have been riding by this place I happen to glance over one day since my truck was giving me shit so I took a day off of work to grab a new 2017 ! The process was not that bad of course they check your credit had 5 or 6 inquiries ( I didn't like that ) but I needed a ride they walked me through everything and worked with me on a down payment which was nice! I was able to test drive a few vehicles they have a lot in stock if they don't have it at that location they will have it delivered to you within the hour . Easterns is the absolute WORST dealership to ever deal with or buy from! I have had nothing but issues since i purchased my vehicle 2yrs ago! My vehicle was conveniently missing for 48hrs! They tried to tell me is was at the dealer being fixed. I called the dealer and the dealer did not have it or even an appt for it. They did a search via VIN. The loaner was junk! Transmission was slipping had very minimal transmission fluid! Nothing was ever fixed on my vehicle! The paint, defects, i was ordered all weather mats (2yrs later i still do not have). They sold me an extended warranty when my vehicle was covered under the factory warranty (currently it's still cover).They would not refund my money or even extend my warranty. Easterns does not care about anyone but themselves! The customer service from management and corporate is a complete joke. Once they have your money their complete attitudes changed...they don't care, blah blah blah and they try to tell and convince you that it will "taken care of." Just to get you out of their face or off the phone. STAY AWAY FROM EASTERNS! Easterns is shady! If i could rate them ZERO i would! Please share this info with any and everyone!
