I would get the sea scallops over the Capelletti, but both were very good. My halibut was cooked perfectly. Next time I want to try that beetroot pavé, it sounds great. We also shared the baked Alaska, note that is not lit on fire for you. I wish they sold the spiced chocolate ice cream separately. I would absolutely buy a tub to take home. It was amazing. The waiter was very kind and there was a nice welcoming, non-stuffy feeling to the restaurant. I wish they advertised soda products, especially for people who don't drink alcohol. Even during the fancy dinner sometimes a good pop hits the spot.

As soon as we entered we were greeted and seated upstairs in a lovely quaint dining room. Our waiter Kyle came over and explained the menu options. We both ordered cocktails and decided to try the tasting menu. It was a great decision as we enjoyed everything that was placed in front of us. While everything was amazing, my favorite dish that evening was the salmon with the perfectly crispy skin and the pork loin/pork belly. The amazing service provided by Kyle, the ambiance, quality ingredients and amazing pairing of the ingredients made for an unforgettable meal and I can't wait to return to Quatrefoil. If you like French cooking, I highly suggest you give this establishment a try...and for amazing service, ask for Kyle.

As expected in a fine dining setting, everyone was dressed up--thankfully, I was too! Once seated, we started with the French onion soup. I always judge a French restaurant by its soup, and Ce Soir exceeded my expectations; it was among the best I've had. For the main course, I ordered: *Spinach and Bibb with grilled chicken: I'm usually not one for salads, but this one won me over. *Mushroom Ravioli: Absolutely delicious, with great flavor. *Lobster Spaghetti: If you trust my reviews, go for the lobster spaghetti--you won't be disappointed! This was the best I've tasted, with perfect flavor and portion. *Rack of Lamb: Packed with flavor, though it may not be for those who aren't fond of a strong lamb taste. My only major complaint was the serving time. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive, leaving us a bit frustrated, especially since our server didn't check in with updates, which I'd expect from a place of this caliber. Overall, Ce Soir is a lovely spot for a special occasion. I hope management takes note of the feedback, as it has the potential to be an even better experience.

The prix fixe is available as 2 course or 3 course, with a slightly lower cost for 3 course vegetarian. There is also a fairly extensive cocktail and wine menu. We went with 2, 2 course meals, sharing the appetizer and dessert. For the appetizer we had the "Feuilleté au Chèvre", a baked potato, leek and goats cheese pastry with a side garden salad. The salad was well dressed, with a great mustard based dressing. The tart was perfectly composed, great balance of pastry, vegetables and cheese. For the entrees, we had the "Magret de Canard" and "Coq au Vin". Both were excellent - perfectly cooked, and great accompaniments; but the red wine sauce with the chicken was the standout. For dessert we shared the "Clafoutis aux Poires", pears baked in thin layers of pastry with vanilla ice cream. It was freshly baked, and not too sweet - so a great end to the dinner. The overall service was great - well timed, not over bearing and friendly. This is a great place for the the special occasion or treat;

    COZY FRENCH BISTRO w/ PRIX FIXE MENU…read more Le Baratin is a cozy bistro with limited seating, thus advance reservation is a MUST. The atmosphere is quite warm and casual, and is ideal for date nights and special occasions. They offer a Prix Fixe menu and can choose between 2-course and 3-course meal. Service is amazing and our server is very kind to answer our MANY questions about the menu. He also gave us a few recommendations, which was greatly appreciated. Food is excellent! For appetizers, the mussels were HUGE and very fresh. For entrees, duck breast was our favorite - meat was very tender, perfectly cooked, and went well with the carrot puree. In addition, the sauce is very flavorful which really elevates the dish! Overall rating for our experience was a solid 4.5-star, and I ended up giving them a 4 (on the Yelp scale) probably related to the desserts. The desserts were awesome, but it lacks the "wow" factor I found from their appetizers and entrees. I'd definitely visit again, and I look forward to changing to a 5-star rating next time!

We arrived on a Friday morning about 9:30 and the restaurant got considerably more busy shortly after. We were greeted by the sweetest staff member explaining to us the different pastries like the inside out cinnamon bun with a cream cheese center. She was patient and so friendly! We sat to order our breakfast along with some of the pastries for dessert. The smoked salmon Benedict was perfectly cooked and spectacular! Those frites that accompanied them were equally delicious. My friend ordered the croissant sandwich with salmon, cream cheese, and cranberries. For dessert we had the coconut cream tart which reminded me of a coconut cream pie elevated to a decadent tart. We also had an almond croissant that was so crispy and delicious that I had to order another one to go. My cappuccino was perfectly prepared. The food here is amazing and the service is equally exceptional. Our server checked on us often and was a delight! I can't say enough about this place that would do it justice. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Toronto.

We ordered medium poached eggs, but one plate came out harder than expected. Service was good, although a bit confusing that you can order and pay online while in restaurant, or have traditional service from staff. Previously, we tried their almond croissant and other desserts, and they were fabulous! Will definitely return and try other dishes.
