I went with a group of people during a weekday lunchtime and it was fairly empty (we did have a reservation just in case it was busy). We were seated right away and the server came around a decent number of times to see how we were doing throughout the meal. We started out with spinach dip and nachos for appetizers. The spinach dip was AMAZING: warm, gooey, and just mouth-watering. For the main plate, I ordered a steak which came with a side of vegetables and mashed potatoes. Most of the people around me ordered the chicken parmesan which I sort of regret not ordering. The steak itself was fine, don't get me wrong, but those pieces of chicken parmesan they got were huge! I had the Mediterranean salmon. Most places serve it the same way on a bed of rice with vegetables. But not here, it was fresh flavorful and deliciously different. While it was on rice with a meditating sauce and the vegetable were truly Mediterranean giving it a great taste. Jazzy provided the excellent service to go with this meal. I originally accepted lunch with a colleague whom I rarely see. A couple of hours later, my intern asked if I was good having Thai food with my team. I had to politely turn down going with them. Well, things changed. On Friday, my colleague had to cancel our lunch an hour before we had planned to meet. So, I felt like I needed to grovel with my two other colleagues to see whether I could get back into their good lunch books. Luckily, they took me back. They also changed venues and went with Kelseys. I looked at the menu at the office before heading over there. The grilled cheese and soup combo looked wonderful on a rainy day. I also have a weakness for all-day breakfast items. My intern also pointed out that the restaurant has root beer floats. Excellent! My intern drove us over to Kelseys, which is a five-minute drive from our office. The parking lot tends to get busy, as a number of eateries share the same lot and there's also an auto mall next door. We walked in. It wasn't busy just before noon. We got a booth and looked at the menu. All of us went with the brekkie poutine. Yep, we did the all-day breakfast. The brekkie poutine comes with two sunnyside up eggs, two types of bacon, mozzarella cheese, gravy, and fries. I also got the loaded cream soda. It comes with vanilla ice cream, your choice of vanilla or orange liqueur (I went with orange), and a maraschino cherry. The brekkie poutine is huge! I came close to finishing it off, but left about a quarter of it. The fries had the perfect amount of saltiness, which complemented everything else. Sure, there weren't any cheese curds. However, the gravy and the gooey mozzarella worked well with everything. I loved the bacon and eggs, which made this dish perfect. The loaded cream soda was delicious. The only downside was that I got a straw that was much shorter than the glass itself. Luckily, my glass of water came with a longer straw. I swapped out the straw and I was good. My maraschino cherry was in the middle of my cream soda. I couldn't fish it out with the shorter straw. Additionally, I had to wait to enjoy the ice cream before I could get at the cherry. It didn't come with a stem, but it was worth retrieving and eating it in the end. Kelseys has definitely improved its menu since I was last there. The drinks menu was impressive. My colleagues got honey peach tea lemonades. They looked delicious! I'd come back here again. When the weather warms up, there is a patio that we'd like to try. My family must have loved it here- $195.00 for a massive nachos platter, several pedestrian burgs, salad and more burgs couples with some fairly good service chalked up to a pretty decent night out. We came on a Tuesday evening, and while there are no food specials, there is an o going tall boy for $5.00 with a local or generic option. Kelsey's at this location is Kelsey's at generally every location, passable, however you can appreciate that the service was in no rush to turnover the table, so the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. I referenced the amount for 6 people, and what happened was quite I retesting from my vantage point. When we ordered 2 pounds of wings and a Godzilla sized nachos, we all agreed that we would not order any more mains. But what happened next was like that conversation never happened, with another giant overpriced crunchy water plate drenched in house dressing and another three burgers? This was my first visit to this Kelsey's location. It is a very nice and clean looking restaurant. There are lots of tables and the staff is very friendly. I've been to several locations and what I like about this chain is that the food is consistently good. I always have a burger. Bacon and cheese and carmelized onions. It's always good. I like the laid back atmosphere and the staff always seem nice and calm. Nice place to go. Kelsey's offers several gluten free options, but if you need to seriously avoid gluten, let them know and avoid food that is cooked in the deep fryer. It's not dedicated to gluten free. Quite possibly the worst restaurant I've visited in the country. $140 Cheque, every meal was cooked wrong and or came out cold/incorrect. Our server was kind but did not refill our drinks or offer waters when the other drinks were finished. My nachos were cold along with my soup and "cheesy honey buns" yet the buns were burnt? My brother and grandmother got steak, thin and tough and not cooked to the requested temp. Server again was kind but was clearly uninterested in making the situation better for anyone. read more

I ordered the popcorn shrimp tacos, they cost about $12 before tax. My wife and daughters took me here for lunch on father's day. Kelseys is a dying breed, a number of their restaurants near us have closed in the last few years. This is not due to lack of quality or anything like that, but I would suspect due to the changing ethnic makeup, and the current backlash against corporate food. This location is located beside the Dixie Auto Mall in Mississauga. The restaurant is quiet on a Sunday afternoon as all of the automotive dealerships are closed. As such the staffing complement was a little light. We were greeted by our hostess / waitress / server after a couple of minutes, and seated at a booth. My five year old had a view of Santa and Mrs Claus on the patio enjoying their lunch. The ambience of the restaurant was like most other Kelsey's - a splash of hollywood culture on the walls, sports on the TV, and nicer furniture than the average restaurant. Our drinks came quickly, and we ordered. My youngest had the pizza, my vegapygmy daughter and I each had the portobello muchroom burger. These beauties feature giant portabello mushrooms instead of a meat core. We even had matching side garden salads. I guess she really loves me. The burger was pretty good, earning two thumbs up. I don't know what my wife ate. I wasn't paying attention It was a good meal, we will repeat but we are not in this area that often. read more

Excellent customer care and a clean restaurant. The food needs improvement in terms of taste. The chicken wings are quite big which is a good thing. Went in to celebrate my parents' anniversary and was a little disappointed with the quality of food. The fish and chips, wings, shrimp and ribs had no punch in them and was tasting quite ordinary and bland. The observation was the same right across the table. I asked for hot and honey wings but I got honey garlic with a dash of hot that could only be tasted occasionally. Was very disappointed with that. The server was very pleasant and was able to make recommendations based on what we were feeling for. In my experience, not many servers are willing to go that extra mile. I went for dinner with my wife and year and half old daughter. It was complete chaos from the get go. No check in queue, no word as to how long it would take to get seated, and no one at reception. With a busy little girl, the 25 minute wait to get seated was long, after no mention of an extensive wait. The extra hour to get our food was unacceptable, with several empty tables just adding to the irony. We left and took our food to go. It was an unpleasant experience, especially with an infant. The area that this restaurant is in is pretty much a business lunch haven. You got everything from fast food, to sit down all in a little area and have your pick of the crop depending on your mood. Kelsey's is one of those in the bunch that's bidding for your business during lunch hours. Kelsey's is pretty much well... Kelsey's. It's cookie cutter out of the box generic food. For the price, I'd probably go somewhere else. You're talking about a 12 dollar burger with fries/soup/salad that's alright I guess. I mean, it's better than a McDonald's or another fast food place, but it's not exactly the best thing you could get for the price. A cool thing about this location is their 15 minute menu (or it's free). Saying that... I wonder how much of this menu is served from a giant buffet tray that's ready to scoop your lunch into. Great... I love mass made food. If you're looking to sit down and have a fancy business meeting, ya I'd probably visit something like a Kelsey's here. It is a nice atmosphere for a business conversation (minus the 90's pictures on the walls). But is it the best value for the money? The wings are phenomenal. I tried the apple butter bbq - it was really good - but the wongs themselves were cooked so perfectly, I regretted not ordering more for just myself. I was expecting more but was deeply disappointed. First of all, the decor was very pleasant and inviting. The staff, accommodating at times, but not very attentive. Even though it was not a busy Monday evening, the staff were presumably busy. There is a good variety of of items in the menu and the appetizers were good. The wings and calamari were very well seasoned and tasty. Enjoyed ever bite of it. I ordered the fish and chip from the menu as the main dish for dinner and I was looking forward to a great tasting fish and chips but sadly, could not enjoy it. The taste, or rather no taste in the fish is a better word. There was absolutely no flavor and the batter was bland and tasteless as well. I had to add my own salt, pepper and other seasonings to get it to taste at least remotely good. I am not sure if the other people in the party had a better quality of food, but I know I did not enjoy it. Needless to say, I did not want to disappoint my family members when they ask if the food was good. Even though I said yes, inside my head, I was thinking otherwise. We were ready to order some desserts but we had to wait and hail them down, just to get there attention. Our server or hostess, finally show up and got the dessert ordered. All in all, the experience was average and not very good. They really need to up their game and check their dishes going out from the kitchen for proper seasoning. Their staff need to be more attentive and be aware of what is going on during the dinner service. One bad experience is all you need to turn a customer from the first visit to never return. After that she was okay to be honest, and the food wasn't so bad, but if it's going to be like this, it should be FAR cheaper than the prices listed on the menu. Walked in and one side the restaraunt was full the other side not so much We were seated and then had our order taken 1 hr and 45minutes later our food still hadn't come. We asked the hostess what was going on. Within 5 minutes our food came out....COLD!!!! It had been sitting and we had been forgotten about. No explanation and poor service. Most unsatisfactory experience. Have not been to a Kelsey's restaurant in about 8 years. It will be much longer before I try THAT again. 2 stars for service (new server it seems). 1 star for food. ZERO stars for management and response for poor food delivered. Bottom Line: DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK and if you get poor food - be prepared for a poor response when you ask for rectification. The appetizer (4 cheese & spinach) was ok. This was my favourite when I had last gone to Kelsey's. This time it was served warm (not hot) but not very well presented. Taste was good but it looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Ordered the "Bacon & Goat Cheese Sirloin" steak dinner. Advertised to be "AAA sirloin topped with bacon, goat cheese & gravy". It took a long time for both the appetizer to arrive, then another long time for the main (about 5 minutes after the other non-steak dinners at our table were served). When it arrived, my first cut of the steak showed it to be cooked to my order (medium rare) but the gravy and the bacon were barely room temperature (slightly off cool). I explained to our server and asked her to address this as it was inedible. When she came back 5-7 minutes later, i recognized my plate as the same one I had sent back to the kitchen. I noticed more gravy on the plate but it was the same steak (the piece where I had cut originally still showing). It appears they just added more barely warm gravy on top (maybe lukewarm this time - still not edible). All this for $26! I explained to the server this was unacceptable. I choose to request they change my order to a regular sirloin without gravy. 3rd time...the steak dinner arrived after the other meals at our table had been eaten. To my utter dismay it was a tough cut, served medium (not medium rare) and tasted beyond bland. Another person at our table had also ordered steak. The first time it came over cooked and the 2nd time it came back he too commented it was a poor tasting steak. I asked our server to speak with the manager and explain the situation...that I would not be eating my meal (other than the veggies as these were warm+ and I needed to eat something at this point). The steak was poor quality and with it being the 3rd round - I'd had enough. Their "solution" was to remove the steak dinner (I did not eat) from my bill. The manager never apologized himself (my server did write on the bill for my appetizer and drink). For someone who eats out often, this is the first time I have had such a poor response to such significant dissatisfaction. read more

I've been a vegetarian for 13 years and this is the FIRST restaurant to ever accidentally serve me MEAT. I ordered a "Build your own burger" and the server initially didn't write down my order, even though I explicitly asked for a veggie patty. It's a good thing that I studied the menu before I ordered, since the first indication that it wasn't a veggie patty was the fact that it was double stacked.This restaurant doesn't respect dietary restrictions and i would not recommend this restaurant for anyone who is has any sort of allergies or dietary restrictions. read more
