    Came with very few fries!
    Sharon Y.

Food wasn't very outstanding. Everything was relatively bland. The burger/sandwich options could have come with more fries.

After going to a nearby entertainment centre, we walked into this establishment around lunch hour. It was surprisingly not that busy, and we were seated immediately. The decor and atmosphere is calming, it's very comfortable and the space in the booths is good for a party of four people, in comparison to other restaurants. Our server, Victoria, was a wonderful server, and absolute sweetheart. They took our drink orders and in less than a few minutes we received them. When ordering our meals, they answered all our questions regarding the sides and substitutions, and overall was very friendly and understanding. Our meals were delicious and only took 15 minutes to arrive, they were hot and full of flavour. I rarely ever scrape my plate clean, but with this meal, it's quality in terms of price was very good. I had ordered the Lemon Pepper salmon with rice and broccoli, the sauce that is added beside the salmon (I believe it was a basil sauce) was a wonderful combination with the lemon zest. It wasn't just my meal that was pleasant, as the other members at my table each ate their meals with content. When we asked for boxes for our remaining food, Victoria had done something I never see server do, when giving us the boxes, they had given us the small plastic lids for the quesadilla sauces, so they wouldn't spill, which was highly appreciated. :) Overall if you're in a small party or with family, I'd highly recommend this establishment to relax and enjoy a filling meal.

I enjoy dining at this venue before the COVID-19 in-dining opportunities were put on pause. Still, one of the best memories of coming here over the years was when Kelseys had Fajitas for Two on the menu; steak was my fav! Now, years later the menu continues to be revamped but the service I received has always been excellent, the restaurant atmosphere terrific and tasty menu options. I will continue to order takeout for a little while longer but longing for the in-house Large Wings dining experience and the Roadhouse Caesar once again!

I went there to order foods for takeout. I was glad I went there instead of calling them. When I went there, the staff was on the phone and it was taking long because probably people were ordering things more complicated. The staff was working hard to take correct orders. I was there to order, so it was much easy for her. I was waiting for foods outside and it took 15 min. It was not bad. She gave us gravy for fries even though I did not order. It was nice of her because their gravy was good. I had chicken thigh fried and it costs $12 without any vegetable or side order. It was a kind expensive, but chickens were very good. Bacon bbq burger was very big and tasty and fries were excellent. They have good foods.

    Wings not good at all

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Came with a co-worker after work for drinks and food on a Thursday. Half priced wings that tasted like crap. Let me tell you, our waitress was really forgetful and had a bit of an attitude....borderline rude. Second time here. It'll be the last.

Service was great. Attentive, polite and friendly Great family joint but also good for a reasonably priced meal with good portion sizes if you're looking for some casual bar food. Obviously expectation vs reality, don't come here expecting a Michelin star experience, but you'll get a great meal for a great price. Also daily drink specials? Amazing Came here for nachos, wings and beer. Nacho plate is MASSIVE and for $21 is definitely a must order. Wings were decent, not overly breaded and sauce was quite good. Hot was yummy (not overly spicey and I do love my spice) and the other half we ordered was apple honey (I think) which was delicious! Highly recommend the apple one. Keep in mind that Thursday is half price wing night with drink purchase! Will definitely be back!

Fish Tacos and Buffalo Chips, Spinach dip with FRIED pitas, and 1/2 order nachos with beef chili. Perfect for sharing!

This is a regular once a month stop for my wife and I. Avoiding the cold rainy Halloween night we came in to have some appys. 8 pm was the perfect time, as we got a discount on the spinach dip for "Happy Hour" Fish tacos and 1/2 order of nachos with beef chili. Fantastic. The fish tacos came with buffalo chips reminiscent of the famous Mr. Greenjeans. Probably our favourite thing tonight! And we LOVE their spinach dip with FRIED(of course) pitas. Baked is ...ok. fried rules. Great service from M. Always recommend this particular store.

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)

Upon entering, the space is super spacious and clean. My friend ordered their 2 egg special with bacon, and I ordered their soup and sandwich combo ($12/13). Amazing food and great service, I would like to come back and try some of their dinners dishes.

Out group tried the Biscuits and gravy, shrimp Benny and brisket Benny as well as fried green tomato, kids apple johnny cakes and grilled cheese. The portions are generous. The chicken with the biscuits and gravy were 2 pieces of brined dark meat chicken served on a biscuit and collards smothered in pork gravy. Chicken was very juicy and super crunchy, collard needed some acidity, biscuit was light but a little overdone and gravy was not as fat a decadent than in the south, lighter but still tasty, wish they poured it a little more generously. The fried green tomato was outstanding as the accompany silly aioli situation was great. Kids apple jonnycakes were a hit and loved the hot chocolate with mini marshmallows for the kiddos. Gtilled cheese was a hit - got the pull and the bread was well toasted. The home fries were a bit of a let down. Although very cool and layered, they seemed very greasy, maybe oil or flattop wasn't hot enough? Benny's were both good, shrimp cake was well cooked and crisp and brisket was flavourful and moist. I had flagged this eatery for a while. It was nice to drop by at long last and do a return visit, too. Mamajoun is roughly one block west of Warden Avenue, on the south side of Ellesmere Road. I had no problem finding a parking spot in the plaza. I backed into a spot practically in front of the main entrance and walked in. I was warmly greeted by Mihran, who owns the eatery with his wife. He was so welcoming and took the time to chat with me. I have had a papajoun wrap in the past, which is a flatbread with ground beef, onions, garlic, and red pepper paste. He let me know that his dough recipe came from his grandfather, which makes the dough so light and malleable. I had traditional Armenian toppings in my wrap, such as tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and pickled turnips. If you are getting your wraps to go, he carefully packages them such that they still remain hot and toasty for thirty minutes. I ended up driving back to Markham and enjoying my wrap in downtown Markham. It was warm and yummy. When I first walked into the eatery, I was looking at bags of mante. I smelled the bag and it automatically made me hungry. He enjoys serving several beef mante in chicken broth, with tomato sauce and yogurt. He let me know that the chicken stock in bottles at the nearby Costco was what he used and they were of high quality. Good to know! I ended up getting some tomato dill soup from Farm Boy and put my mante in them. It was amazing! His instructions to bake them in the oven at 400°F for five to eight minutes and place them in soup is amazing. I asked if folks simply popped mante in their mouths like popcorn. He said that it was a perfectly acceptable way to enjoy them. The pack of zaatar that I picked up was excellent. Mihran said that I could freeze them. When I wanted one, just take one out of the freezer and let it thaw for fifteen minutes. Each zaatar tastes so fresh and yummy. I paid for my items both times with a credit card. This place does not accept American Express. I feel that most businesses don't these days. I thanked him for all his help and taking the time to speak with me. He said that the feeling was mutual, which was nice. Everything that I have eaten at this place has been flavourful and delicious. I'm a fan. Great food. Great owner. No complaints. (201)
