The sale was great and they really packed them in. Despite this environment, the employees were incredibly nice and helpful. We ended up buying two totes and a back pack that we love, love, love! And the price???? 60% off plus an additional 30% off clearance! Crazy deal! I came straight home and made bag charms for them. Didn't go anywhere else but the place was even fuller when we left.

This outlet features a plethora of handbags, wallets, luggage, cosmetic pouches, blankets, towels and other accessories. The majority of the items come in a quilted pattern which isn't totally my jam, but I'm happy to see they are introducing more understated nylon bags in solid colors. The outlet always has some kind of sale going on. If you are looking for the best bargains, head to the clearance section in the back of the store, that's usually around 70% off and TONS of good deals on a variety of discontinued items. My husband, dogs and I are a huge fan of their blankets. They come in a variety of fun patterns, they usually run $15-22 depending on the deal at the time. I'm always putting them in the washing machine and they have held up well. We have also picked up some duffel bags at Vera and they are great since they can easily be washed. The store is on the smaller side, which can be awkward in pandemic times.

As Joy was ringing us up, everything seemed okay UNTILL Joy was stuffing my sisters purchases in only ONE shopping bag. My sister asked politely "May I please have another shopping bag?" And Joy responded "NO! I don't have a bag to give you. You're only getting one!". As Joy said this she slammed her hands on the counter of the register and was staring at my sister for a long period of time. She made it feel so uncomfortable and awkward. Joy's behavior was not confirming to the situation and she snapped at my sister for no reason- keep in mind the customers ahead of us got their items placed in THREE (3) shopping bags that Joy filled herself. Just FYI- that shopping bag Joy stuffed ended up ripping once we got to our car. Thanks, Joy. You're "training" and "reputation" proceeds you. My sister resumed to leave the store but then wanted to make another purchase as she found more items of interest. We got back on line- Joy made it a point to run away (yes- she ran) from the register and demanded her store employee, Lorraine, "Go handle them". (We weren't even rude). Lorraine was absolutely AMAZING to us and by the way, placed my sister's purchases in FIVE (5) shopping bags. Lorraine literally said, "oh yeah we have plenty of shopping bags". So, Joy lied. The store manager of Vera Bradley in the Lake George Outlets on Route 9 LIED! I called the owner of the Lake George Outlet, Serene Shanice, to inform her- she proceeded to tell me that in Joy's training that if there is an issue they are to not deal with a customer. Okay- but we didn't cause an issue. I informed her how Joy was the one that snapped at my sister, I was a witness, and that behavior isn't appropriate even for a store manager. Ms. Shanice seemed sympathetic of what happened but I don't think she's going to properly handle the situation- so that's a why I'm here to speak on this. She didn't even really give me any resolution. So- there's favoritism being played here. Vera Bradley is amazing- I truly believe having an abusive store manager gives the brand a bad reputation and hurts the store. Even after speaking to MANY people that have shopped there- they have stories about Joy as well. The value of the items are amazing. The value of the manager, Joy, is awful. She is rude, disrespectful, snappy, and just unprofessional. I suggest not shopping there unless you want your shopping bags ripped up by Joy. She seems to want to keep those pink PAPER BAGS all to herself.

I've gotten everything from t shirts, to dress pants and shirts. Swimsuits, sweaters, socks, robes and other accessories all make the most out of a moderately sized store. Sometimes I wish they had more sweater options, have never been able to find a style that I love there, but always get everything else I need. Service is attentive, maybe even too attentive. I prefer to shop quietly by myself. But there is always someone around to show you where stuff is or unlock the dressing rooms for you. Their post sale service is also super intense. I gave them my e-mail address in a moment of stupidity and they are one of those companies that assume their customers want an e-mail from them every single day, even though I only shop here 3-4 times a year. Had to unsubscribe there, does anyone actually want 5-10 emails a week from any business? At least they give some pretty good discount coupons, which is good, because it is a pricey place to shop. At least the clothes are good quality though, they have always had a long life for me and no complaints there.

My friend who I was shopping with asked the girl at the counter about trying some things on also and she said "we are closing at 6:00 P. M." I've never heard of such a business practice.
