The amount of dresses was insane and the best brands and selection I have seen in a long time. The dresses I picked out, one on sale! and one regular priced, were very reasonably priced. I did not interact with any staff, except when asking for a fitting room. It was crowded, but I was able to try on my clothes without a wait. My purchases make me even more excited for the various events I have coming up where I know I will be able to wear them!

At register I noticed the person before me was asked if they were in the system but I was not. Both this time and the previous time I was there. I had to ask the employee if she was going to look me up in the system because I am and prefer email receipts. I would highly suggest re-training employees on customer service. No matter what age or race. People should be treated with respect. I will continue shopping at SMU but stick with Annapolis and Bethesda stores.

My complaint is this store. There are about 2 employees who genuinely try to help you and who seem like they enjoy their job. I have been mostly shopping online lately for this exact reason. My last time in the store was the worst experience I have had there, and it drove me to finally write a review. The staff acted like they could care less about me, the significant purchase I was trying to make, or anything else for that matter. One of the employees had a child with her, who appeared to be her daughter. One employee was sitting on the ground sorting through underwear to organize (I'm assuming) while talking to another employee. I waited at the register to check out for over 5 minutes, and if I wasn't in need of a specific item I would have left. The employees acted as if they knew I was there, but were "busy". I worked retail for many years and I would have never thought to act that way during work hours WITH customers in the store. When one employee finally did come to ring me up, she didn't push the current store promo BOGO 50% off. I would have definitely picked out another item, but didn't see the signs until I was leaving. The moral of the story is...shop online or go to another store. The Dover store is about an hour from me, and I would go there solely because the service is way better.

Probably overpaid for a Ron Jon logo one but alas I'm from the West Coast and I thought it was cool. When I got back home I found a cute Ron Jon sticker they put in my bag. This store carried eco-friendly, unique, and one-of -a-kind art, gifts, and accessories. Sounded a bit like me so I decided to check it out. They definitely have some fun gifts...one whole display from Boulder, Colorado...(wait...don't I live near there? heehee) Anyway, horrible customer service. I was not even acknowledged that I walked into the store or stayed in there for about twenty minutes. As Janeen D. pointed out, the staff did not immediately welcome customers entering the store, but I tend to see that is a pro rather than a con. What is important is, when I asked a question, they were obliging and pleasant about answering it. The shop itself is on the small side and cramped by merchandise in several places. There is a large selection, surprisingly few tacky beach things, and a tin asking for animal rescue donations: definite thumbs-up there. I don't know if it's a "must see", but it is a breath of fresh air in a world of endless Sunsations and Candy Kitchens.
