Since I'm from LA (aka the land of too many shoppers therefore impossible to compete), I make it a point to visit my favorite stores whenever I travel to "less populous" cities. It never disappoints. Case in point: a tie front long dolman sleeve shirt and a tee for $20 total. In LA, $20 could only get you an effing chai bowl, which, unlike super cute Jcrew tops, wouldn't even last until tomorrow.

I paid $78 in store for an item that is actually supposed to be $69.50. Beware deceptive business practices at this location!

Was just visiting KC over the weekend but missed all the sales. Stopped by this JC on Tuesday to get the "Garment Dyed Utility Popover" and paid full price- $78. I thought that was high, but I paid it. Later, I checked the catalog and the website, which have the full price at $69.50! Is this store authorized to jack up their prices? I tried to find out by contacting JC headquarters. They are still "looking into it" but I was refunded the difference. I can understand some discrepancies during sales or promotions but this is a full price item. Wonder if it's happening just at this location or is it a widespread practice? Regardless, if I ever shop here again, I will make sure to check against the website first. Super sketchy and deceptive business practices make me wonder who is running things.

    Great men's selection!

Great clothier with helpful staff. Wish they had a larger men's selection, but fairly large compared to others.

Landon was fantastic! So helpful and friendly. I had to call in an order because it was sold out online, and he was extremely accommodating.

I explained I have trouble with jeans being tight in the thighs but once I size up enough that the thighs are roomy I look like a box because I'm usually at a 38+ and my waist is smaller than that.

By serendipity, he was on home on leave during her passing, and agreed, when asked, by his grandfather, the Airforce Vet, to cancel his plans, drive 8 hours, and be present and uniformed at the funeral. Great Grandma married an Army Air Corpsman after a whirlwind romance in 1942. She would have been quite impressed by the uniform. After all, she kept the last one over 50 years. In packing on Sunday night for a Tuesday morning funeral, our Marine became aware that his SIZE 14 patent leather shoes had not made the trip with his blues. Because Grandpa was so appreciative of his presence, that he assigned him pall bearer duties, ONLY the dress blues were appropriate for the event. I began first thing Monday morning calling any store in the KC area that had a sliver of a chance of fixing this problem in 24 hours or less. Keith and his staff answered their phone - no phone tree. They knew their inventory, their rental and sales abilities, and they jumped into action. When I arrived at 0930 the next morning, they had a plan A, a Plan B, and epic customer service and attention. I have blanked out the Marine's face as it was taken after the funeral. After fulfilling his duties at Mt Washington Cemetery, uphill, during a week with a rather lot of moisture, his shoes are no longer in regs... but they certainly completed the mission.

I asked an employee if she could help me find the dress that was displayed on a mannequin in my size, as I had been unable to locate it on the sales floor. She told me that she needed permission to remove the dress from the mannequin and asked me to wait nearby. After waiting quite a while, I noticed another employee taking the dress off the mannequin while assisting two other customers. I approached her and explained that I had been waiting for that dress and had been told to stay nearby while the first employee got permission. She dismissed my concern, stated that no one had informed her, and proceeded to give the dress to the other customers. A short time later, I found the employee who was supposed to be helping me. She admitted that she had forgotten about me. When I tried to discuss the situation with both employees, they threatened to call security because, according to them, I was "making them uncomfortable." At that point, I left the store. It was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. I understand that this is a large retailer and that my review may not make a difference, but customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. The employees involved could have handled this situation much more professionally.

Finally another person arrived and helped us run sizes to the dressing area. But only when we sought him out. He was not attentive and no greeting. But during checkout it became disturbing because the guy behind the counter was downright creepy. I've attached a picture because a description just doesn't cut it. We couldn't understand a thing he was saying he would not speak up he was mumbling and his mask was so thick and large and his hair was hanging down you could not see his face at all. I think the company can do better with Representatives or tell this guy he needs to lighten up on his look at work. What was really an issue was the fact that you could not understand him or see his face. I'm not trying to pick on anybody for how they choose to look but when you're representing a store and you're behind the counter like this with your eyes hiding behind your hair and your face hiding behind a giant mask it's just not a good look.
