They have a wide variety and selection, especially being smaller market. I am always impressed with the availability of food varieties!

Despite some gripes I have with their pickup service (which I use often), I absolutely love this…read moreSafeway. First and foremost, it's extremely nice. The store is impeccably clean, products are always well organized, and the store has an amazing parking garage with large spaces under the store (big points for not getting rained on!). If you're not a Safeway rewards member consistently clipping coupons in the app, you're spending too much. I find Safeway's deals to be pretty incredible compared to other local options (Walmart, military commissary, Costco). Plus, can't beat the convenience of this store's location. Their gas is consistently cheapest in the area, especially when using points for fuel rewards (we are huge on buying 4x points products then using our rewards to get $1/off per gal of gas). Their gas station does get busy but it moves quickly, has a mini mart, and is well-lit so I always feel safe there, even at night. Now, pick up service. The app is incredibly easy to use to place grocery orders. Orders are consistently ready early or precisely on-time. While they're shopping, the employee asks for substitution permission if a product is unavailable. You can also put in acceptable substitutes ahead of time and send messages to the employee shopping. The employees are fast, friendly, and have always selected fresh products, which I appreciate. My gripe is how they pack the car. I drive a Suburban and always ask that they load everything up in the trunk. It is complete chaos with their loading (heavy things on top, unstable things near the front)... several times we've had casualties when I've opened the trunk and groceries have fallen and been ruined (like jars or bottles breaking) because of the poor loading job. A few weeks ago, I picked up an order and the store called me to come back because they had left their tablet in the trunk buried under the groceries. I asked if they were sure (they said "we think we left it in there") and said I'd pull over to check because I didn't want to drive back if it wasn't in there. Welp, as soon as I opened the trunk, a jug of milk and case of Sprite fell right out of my car to the ground and exploded open. I walked the exploded milk jug and Spite cans to a nearby trash can, then, whilst my entire outfit was covered in both, gave up on my preliminary search and drove back to the store. I was so frustrated. They were in a major rush once I arrived and hurried to replace the milk jug but didn't replace the exploded Sprite cans. I'll still get pick up orders but my gosh, please train your employees how to properly load up grocery orders! Nonetheless, I am a several-times-a-week patron of this store and truly feel fortunate to have it so close to home. Despite the gripes, I'm still loyal and think the overall store deserves a solid five stars. On a side note: How freaking cute is the little "free fruit" basket for kids visiting the store (see photos)?! I love that!

The good: you can shop online for home delivery or at store pickup to hopefully save yourself time…read moreand frustration. You know what to expect shopping as a Walmart customer. Overall 2.5 stars. The bad: the motorized shopping carts have consistently been an ongoing issue. There only seem to be a couple of these carts per store. I went to locate one and was surprised that one was inside the front of the store. It was not plugged into an electrical outlet and had a "ready to use" tag on it. I went to sit on it, and the power level tanked from 100% immediately down to 15%! Walmart please do better. This is unacceptable practice. One can go into any Costco and easily locate several motorized carts. The Ugly: consistently they are out of stock on items ordered for store pickup as well as delivery to your home. This is a frustrating waste of time. Then you find yourself scrambling running to another store trying to find the unavailable items you first wanted fulfilled by Walmart. The Better: the gentleman that delivered our groceries to our car this afternoon was prompt, courteous, and respectful of our property.

There is nothing special about these prescriptions that I have gotten before. I tried to go online but the new system wants some code I do not have. I now plan to start looking for another pharmacy. I'm not sure why they changed these systems that worked fine in the past but I am happy to take my business elsewhere.

Check out the photo, if you want to see what I mean. They don't have everything, but they sure try. They have the best, most lively earthworms for bait you'll find anywhere. And plenty of beer. Beer is important. While there, we heard the nice woman at the counter immediately turn on a guy who she said came in drunk one night and yelled at her, then ran out and drove off. At first he tried to deny it was him, probably to save face to his companion, but the Daily Stop lady minced no words in clarifying the matter -- no, it WAS him, that she remembered, "you know, that night you were REALLY drunk and came in here and yelled at me and drove off? I called the cops on you and they were looking for you." He shook his head meagerly. He knew he was SOOOO caught! Then she ignored him and rolled her eyes over to us, and in her sweetest voice and asked us what size hooks we needed, and if she could help us with anything else... Gotta love being treated with the "good sibling" effect. Well worth the price of admission to this little store out in the middle of nowhere.
