Chocolate display cases. It all looks so delicious.

Absolutely love their chocolates, the best I ever had. I've gotten chocolate from this place a few times and I've yet to be disappointed. They have so many delicious options to choose from, it's sometimes hard to decide what to get. The chocolates are all made by hand, and they did a fantastic job making them look nice. They even have seasonal options too! The shop is a bit small but flattering, it's always well decorated for each season. Also the price is a bit high, but it's so worth it. You definitely get what you paid for.

My wife and I stopped in before lunch at this small chocolate shop on US 40. That made it hard to resist the allure of all the decorated bundles of chocolates that were displayed in time for Valentine's Day. Be aware that this is a Chocolate shop, not a candy store. You won't find much of anything other than items made from or coated with chocolate. Fortunately, that leaves a large variety of items to choose from. I particularly like the over-sized "turtles" they offer with a mixture of nuts and a choice of chocolate coating. They also had chocolate nuts and chocolate pretzels too. For those who prefer individuals bites, they have a display case at the counter for you to see what is offered. If that is too hard for you to decide, they do have assortments available. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Parking is free along the storefront and in a lot about a half block to the north. Review #3595

    Everyone was delicious.

Handmade chocolates....amazing. I was treated to a box for Valentine's Day and got to pick all my own candies. The toffee were my favorite because toffee and dark chocolate are a match made in heaven.

Had the opportunity to attend a chocolate making class hosted by the passionate owner and chocolatier, Jayne. All her ingredients are sourced from sustainable, fair trade companies that provide her with the highest quality chocolate from around the globe. Jayne and her amazing staff members (Olivia and Hannah) did a great job of demonstration and instructing us on how to make truffles, sea salted caramels and turtles which we took home. On our way out we bought a variety of their chocolates and they are all amazing!!! The secret ingredient has to be all the love Jayne and her staff put into each handcrafted piece.

You had me at truffle... This place is a gem! Came here with a coworker and had the luxury of seeing the back of the shop where they actually make everything... Yes you read that right, they make everything in house. Words can't descibe how incredible that place smelled. Not to mention the tingling of my taste buds that lived up to my scent's expectations. If you are in the area, don't miss out on this little gem. Everything they sell will blow your mind, and you won't leave disappointed!

What? No Yelp category for Toffee, Truffles and Incredible Chocolates? OMG. I really thought I knew what toffee was all about until I tried this! There are actually 2 master chocolatiers sharing this business address and name in Greenfield, IN. Litterally Divine Enterprises and J. Evelyn Confections bring you a vast array of tempting treats. I am keeping this review simple because you must truly experience this for yourselves. The shop is located 2 doors West of State Road 9 on Main Street. Parking is on the street or at the small lot just West of the shop. Call to make sure of the hours available because they could be anywhere in the Indianapolis area delivering to finer outlets or providing samples and sales at trades shows, gatherings and/or farmers markets at any given time, year round.

Nothing more enjoyable than discovering a local chocolate shop in a beautiful historic downtown! Husband and I had just filled our bellies at Griggsby's & kinda forgot about dessert until we happened to stumble on this shop, that is. The staff was so nice in describing what was in the case as well as specials. We even got to sample one of the goodies and the chocolatier came up and asked us to tell her even if we didn't like it so they could improve. (Spoiler: it was amazing - some sort of chocolate and pretzel and peanuts and toffee!) They said one of their turtles is on Griggsby's dessert menu. That's awesome, but I may just stick to getting them at the source!

Never disappointed by the selection or the wonderful atmosphere. My three year old loves going and picking out her own box.

Treats were tasty, service was ok. Four dollars for three bites of chocolates is a bit much.

All the cupcakes were moist, and a great flavor; too often when you visit bakeries they have frozen the cupcakes and I can always taste that. These were fresh! I love that they chose a downtown location in a historic building and left the safe in the wall. They store the cake boxes in the old safe and it is visible behind the counter which lends character to the atmosphere. This is a candy lovers dream store. Lots of candy gifts ideas.

We got a German chocolate cupcake, which is chocolate cupcake with caramel and coconut-pecan frosting. It was big enough for two people, for sure. The Cookie Monster cupcakes were cute, and there were also cupcakes that looked like sundaes, plus a lot of other flavors, like strawberry cream, pina colada, cherry, M&M and others. Along with cupcakes, you'll also find ice cream, pie and cake slices, cookies, bulk candy, and a whole two walls full of packaged candy, including old fashioned candy like Pez, Chuckles, wax lips and other novelty sweets. This is a sweet and charming little store for all things sweet, located in a vintage-looking building. Parking is on the street or in the small free parking lot a short ways away.

One good friend wrote about it, then a Yelp friend mentioned it the same day when I saw her in person. I guess those two things were a sign that I needed to visit? Journalism school taught me that three instances of something equals a trend, but I was satisfied with two things, this time. Hitherto is more than half an hour from where I live, but I made time on a Friday morning to visit. To heck with work and the PTO meeting, right? Your girl needs a chai latte! I usually exclusively drink black coffee, but I heard that the chai latte here is dope so that's what I got. I'm glad I did! It was smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of spice. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, because it had fleur de sel on it. I love sweet things with salt on them! I like to think I'm a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, and I can spot a great CCC just by glancing at it. I wasn't even in the mood for a cookie, but after looking at the cookies in the display case, I had to get a chocolate chip cookie because I knew it would be amazing. I told myself that I would take it home and eat it later, but I ended up eating it in my car. You guys. The chocolate chip cookies at Hitherto are perfect. I don't know if they make them in-house or source them from elsewhere, but if you want a little sweet treat and you're not sure what to get (they have lots of delicious-looking baked goods), get the chocolate chip cookie with fleur de sel. It's a good thing. The space inside the coffee shop is so cozy and inviting. It's a small space, but when I visited, there were plenty of tables available. Some people were tucked into a corner playing board games, some people were behind laptops working, and some were chatting with friends. It was a nice vibe, and I'm so glad a place like this exists in Indy. I just wish it were located closer to me! Part of the shop is a space dedicated to new board games that you can purchase. They had lots of games for all ages and interests, and even my oldest kid's favorite board game, Splendor. They also have board games that you can borrow and play at your table. Bonus: They play good music here! Hitherto was exactly where I should have been at that very moment on Friday morning, and do you know why? Because when I walked in, a song that I've been rinsing and repeating was playing over the speakers (a Jose Gonzales cover of a The Knife song). What! It's not even a popular cover. I plotzed. It's so fun when things like that happen in life.
