    S'mores macaron and macchiato

I've become a bit of a regular to Le Macaron now, and I'm always pleased with my choice of refreshments. This time I ordered... Lavender lemonade ($3): probably the best lemonade I've had lately with lavender syrup. The lavender flavor is subtle and refreshing. Chocolate temptation cake ($7): a multilayer chocolate cake with both fluffy and crunchy layers. It might have some nut-based ingredients in it, which was not labeled (but given that macarons are also highly nut-bused, Le Mac may just not be the best place for folks with nut allergies) As always, the staff are super friendly and the space is clean and bright. Looking forward to more trips here in the future!

Stopped by here on a whim for a sweet treat and was glad we did. Such cute holiday decor that matched the beautiful colors in the pastry cases. Originally stopped in to grab some macarons but stayed and decided to split some gelato. The pistachio gelato was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint! The ladies behind the counter were very patient while we chose our six flavored macarons to go. Even once home the macarons were very good. I really enjoyed the lavender and white chocolate peppermint flavors. Can't wait to go back and try more!

I was gifted Le Macaron macarons and I want to preface this review that I am by no means a connoisseur of macarons as they are not my favorite pastry/dessert. The presentation was adorable - clean and minimalist, with a touch of whimsy. The macarons were just okay for me - I think the taste is overall too subtle for me, but texture seemed to be spot on. This is similar to my experiences in the past with macarons as well. If you are a fan of macarons, then you might really enjoy them so definitely check them out, but if you like robust flavor then probably won't be your jam!

Le Macaron is a French bakery in Fisher and Indy that specializes in macarons. The macarons at Le Macaron have a nice crunchy outside texture and a chewy inside, but the flavors are a bit subtle. I was hoping for more intense flavors, especially in the more unique flavors like columbian coffee and tiramisu. The price point at Le Macaron is very high, with a dozen costing 36 dollars. However, the presentation in the box is above average. The macarons are placed neatly in a box. Service was fast and friendly. Parking is located in the parking lot behind the store, which is convenient as the store is located on the main street without parking. Overall, I would recommend Le Macaron if you are looking for macarons with a nice texture and presentation. However, if you are looking for macarons with intense flavors, you may want to look elsewhere. Pros: Nice crunchy outside texture and chewy inside Convenient parking Cons: Subtle flavors Very high price point

I want this place to succeed but they have 2 things that deter a lot of people. #1 - parking. This store is not in a strip mall. There is no parking close to the door. So what? Pro-tip- there are about 10 spots on the street just east of the building. And there is a very nearby parking garage attached to the back of the building. You just have to walk around. #2 - price. I think the items are worth every penny. I keep hearing people complain about the price. These are the same people who bought into the $4 cupcake ... for years! I just placed an order for an engagement party - 2 macarons per person. Each pair were boxed in a perfectly sized clear plastic container. I would have paid about the same price for a run of the mill bakery cake. This presentation was beautiful- fun and colorful!

I tried their gluten-free, mango macaron with green sprinkles. It was fine. I am not sure but maybe mango has no strong flavor.

After calling today to learn if they are planning more for today's grand opening, I decided to go. The cafe has several varieties beyond unique macarons. I would someday like to try a $2 gingerbread waffle cone, a $1.50 hazelnut chocolate filled beignet, and maybe a $6 lemon tart. For now with the grand opening deal that ends at 8 p.m., I bought 12 macarons for just $28. Six macarons were a gift to a friend who said her coconut, 1 of 2 lemon cream, and Belgium chocolate macarons were very yummy and very rich with distinctive flavors. She also received the Madagascar black vanilla and salted caramel macarons. For myself, I selected macarons: 2 lemon creme, a mango, a chocolate praline, a lavender white chocolate, and a basil white chocolate. My friend's palate was right. Le Macarons pastries are flavorful and awesome! I could taste my lemon, basil, and lavender. I tried their gluten-free, mango macaron with green sprinkles. It was fine; I am not sure but maybe mango has no strong flavor. I hope one day they have a frequent shopper program.

First of all, it is SUCH a cute space! They host Let's Be Friends - Indy crochet circle twice a month and they are lovely staff! The coffee is delicious and tons of comfy chairs with the cutest walls and lot's of space.

Yum! So excited about a macaroon shop close to me. My friend and I split a box of 6, they are kinda pricey but worth a treat every now and then. I don't even remember what flavors I got and forgot to take a picture cause I just inhaled them. They were good. Great flavors and textures. They've also got gelato and other baked goods. All look really delicious. The shop is cute, there's plenty of parking on the side street or the parking garage.

Love love love this little little cafe! So clean and fresh! This place is right downtown Fishers off the Nickel plate trail. So many flavors of macrons to choose from, it's honestly really hard to choose, we ended up trying a few different ones and they were all so tasty! They also have the cutest chocolates and gelato. I can't wait to go back and try the coffee and sit with girlfriends to chat and have a sweet little treat, or two or three!!

Le Macaron is SO cute! I visited with my little niece and we were delighted. We were immediately greeted into the pink cafe with a "bonjour," and a huge variety of macarons, gelato, truffles, and meringues. The only problem is trying to decide what to order!

    Peter P.

We drove up here for the grand opening and it seems like it's going to do alright. They have a huge selection of French macarons (not 'macaroons' as we heard a few customers say) and they were quite tasty (and obviously fresh). They also had a nice selection of other pastries which I'll have to come back and try (Napoleon please!).

Now I don't have to drive far for macarons! This bakery is located in the First Internet Bank building in downtown Fishers! I also love that they offer more than their namesake. Not only do they have a ton of macaron flavors, they offer cookies, gelato, coffee, chocolates, candies and cakes! They have a cute space and I can't wait for a special event to order from them!

    Gelato

The service was good. The staff was friendly enough. The atmosphere is bright. The gelato was so frozen that it took the server nearly 5 minutes to scoop it. It has a dry texture to it, and is not creamy at all. I'm not even going to finish eating it. Would not return for the gelato. Pretty disappointed. I tried the hazelnut crunch. It may appear that I ate most of it, but actually, the cup wasn't full as it was too hard for the server to get the gelato out of the container. We also got a pain au chocolate pastry and it was good. I would return for the macarons and pastries, but skip the gelato. Always rooting for locally owned places.

The raspberry pistachio croissant? Oh. My. God. This thing had me in a chokehold. Flaky, buttery layers with the perfect balance of tart raspberry and rich pistachio. It wasn't just good -- it was write-home-about-it good. The kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite and question every other croissant you've ever had. The second was a croissant sandwich (I wish I could remember the name!), but the way those flavors paired together? Let's just say it was a full culinary experience. Savory, balanced, indulgent -- you get the hint. Every bite just made sense. Now here's the part that really says something: I grew up on the East Coast where authentic French bakeries are everywhere and the cultural standard is high. I know a proper croissant. And this? This was better. Yes, I said it. We even had the chance to speak with the owner, who was incredibly warm and genuine. He checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything -- which we clearly did, considering we left with boxes to take home. This place isn't just a pastry shop. It's an experience. And trust me, it will be a topic of discussion in our house for days. Run. Don't walk.

It's worth noting that this isn't a place you just walk in -- you have to place an order online, via Facebook message or by phone first, then set up a time to pick them up. I placed my order via email, which was a fast and easy process. I placed an order for four flavors -- vanille, chocolat, citron and pistache. The pistache was by far my favorite! I couldn't believe that it tasted almost exactly like the pistache macaron I had in France at Laduree! My only complaint would be that, although the texture of the cookie part of this macaron was excellent, the filling was a little runny. It appeared that these may have been freshly made, so giving them an hour or two for the filling to firm up probably would have fixed that very minor issue. Although I didn't think the vanille, chocolat and citron macarons were as close to those same flavors of macarons I sampled in France, they were all good and after sampling them, I wished I had placed an order for all of the flavors they had. It appeared that Union Baking Co. is more of a catering/custom order company, but they were happy to fill my tiny 4-pack order. I am usually more interested in spontaneously stopping in a place and getting macarons immediately than in waiting for an order, but if you're fine with waiting a few days or you need a customized/large order of a variety of macarons, this is the place to order from!

Plan your visit for early in the day before their pastries get bought up! They stay very busy and our last visit was late in the evening to coincide with grocery shopping in Saraga so we could take everything straight home to the fridge. They were very picked over, but I got a slice of pound cake to snack on with my latte and a load of milk bread. The milk bread is a family favorite, so I recommend trying that out if you've never had it before.
