I ordered an arrangement for delivery the next day. It was supposed to be a surprise, but the lady refused to deliver without confirmation that someone was home to receive the flowers. Two days after I ordered them, I assured her that the recipient was home but she said she was unable to deliver them because it was too late (it wasn't even 4pm yet) and could try the next day. At which point, the flowers would have been three days old, plus the recipient would be at work the next day and unable to receive them. The lady then said the recipient could come pick the flowers up. I said absolutely not, the flowers were intended to be a surprise gift. I will definitely never use this florist again, I have never run into this issue with any other flower shops. read more

Ordered flowers for a friend's milestone birthday and what was delivered was significantly different than what we had ordered. I was disappointed that the bouquet that my friend received did not look anything like what I had ordered and on top of that, none of the lilies were bloomed. The bouquet I selected had a succulent and vase with wooden stand, and what my friend received looked really cheap with no succulent. I chose an arrangement from the website and what was delivered was nothing like what was ordered. I have attached photos for reference. I cannot understand what the point of picking a specific arrangement is when the florist just creates something on their own, with no regard to what was ordered. Why bother having options on your website? I emailed her and her response was "I made a nice arrangement." I showed her the photos as well. Still not what I ordered. I have done business with J Florist on Waltham Woods in the past and was absolutely shocked and greatly offended when I stopped in out of concern for an order that had not been delivered. I ordered a plant to be sent to my Doctor's office in November and upon my last doc appointment found out it had never been received, the doctor 's staff even checked their security camera footage from that time frame and saw no one come to the door with a plant or flower arrangement . When I went to speak to the florist about this she acknowledged the correct address but accused me and the doctor and his staff of lying about the incident. I said it must have been a mistake, which can happen to anyone but she continued to accuse everyone of lying and said they must have it!!! I went into this store because it was closest to my house. I had not looked on Yelp for any direction before hand. After the fact, I don't think the review would have helped in terms of initial rating because the florist was very approachable, helpful and generous. I specified how much I wanted to spend on an anniversary arrangement and I got what seemed like an ample amount for the money I spent. I will definitely go here again. I was less than impressed with this florist. I was looking for a snack basket for my grown son, just out of the hospital. I said I wanted to keep it in the $50 range. They were helpful on the phone. They also got it out the same day, so points for that!! By the time I hung up, it was $65 for taxes and delivery, but I was impressed with same day service and name brand candy and snacks. I wanted to send my wife roses for Valentines day. I call this place and was immediately hung up on. I call back and I asked the price of a dozen delivered roses. A lot of numbers are yelled at me before I get the final tally: $92.60. Uhhhhhh, really? $92.60 for a dozen roses, WITHOUT a vase? SO, just for shits and giggles I call 2 other places. My good friend and coworker had a stunning arrangement of lillies, roses, chrysanthemums, and eucalyptus in a gorgeous glazed stone vase delivered for my birthday. Not exaggerating when I say that this is the most beautiful and fresh floral arrangement I've either ordered or received in my life! The fragrance blend is so pleasant and relaxing. Flowers were delivered by the kindest gentleman, who made sure to also wish me a happy birthday and tell me there were chocolates included with the arrangement. Ordered flowers for my wife's grandmother "who is Korean and i am white". The women on the phone was very patient and helpful. I called around 4:30 pm. the day before the funeral which was at 10:30 the following day. She helped me order the flowers and what to say and even asked if i wanted it in Korean writing or English. I picked English so that i would know which ones I ordered. I must say we had the second best looking flower arrangement and I know we didn't pay the most. I read negative reviews about JF and wonder why, but you have to discern for yourself because I never had a problem with their service whatsoever! I received a cut arrangement of flowers which included 8 ivory roses. I was extremely pleased that all 8 of the roses opened into full blooms. So often florist roses just droop their heads after a day and might just as well not have been in the arrangement. NOT SO with these roses! I order flowers online and then called to confirm that they were able to deliver a.) same day and b.) before 4:00 when my girlfriend leaves work. They confirmed both. My girlfriend got home and never got the flowers. After calling them again they said, first, that they weren't going to "go that way" today and they would deliver "some other time." Then, they simply said they "[weren't] doing the order." No notification, no explanation. J Florist by far is one of the nicest businesses to work with! Their customer service is A+++, their arrangements are absolutely beautiful! Over the past 3 years I have used them MANY times! They did my daughter's flowers for her wedding. Their price was at least half of what other "so called" professional florists cost and the arrangements were just as beautiful...if not more!! They also did the arrangements for my sister's funeral and provided extra TLC. I had a florist I used for over 25 years...and their customer service was horrible compared to J's. Very unhappy with J Florist customer service skills. Went in two days prior,when went back price changed. Any way I purchased a corasge and bootineer for my daugthets Prom. The lady, I am sure it was the owner talks over top of you, says she won't change anything, bc it already done. She wouldn't listen to any (maybe) changes even if I was going to pay for it. Convincing me it would be ok. She was not interested in making me the customer satisfied.
