I tore my hamstring and it's been a constant battle for the past decade. Run, tweak, rest, run a little slower, tweak, rest. Run a lot slower, and yup, tweak again, and then just sit around feeling sorry for yourself for getting old. Next thing you know, you can't break a 10 minute mile without fear of tweaking again. That's like a fast walk! So I spent a total of 15 minutes being stretched and poked a little. Not sure what happened really. Went downstairs and jogged for about two minutes and I felt fine. I asked how many more treatments I'd need. "Zero, I hope. You should be good to go." So I'm a week out and it's winter here so managed a couple treadmill sessions at the local Y. Didn't want to be greedy, but did some interval training at 8:30 pace and NADA. No tightness. No twinge. Nothing. Pain FREE! It's like voodoo magic. Will try to work my way up, but it's literally the most too good to be true, but it really is true moment I've experienced in a long time! I walked in and she greeted me right away and we spent a few minutes going over the forms I filled out online ahead of my appointment. It's easy to see that Liz is very knowledgeable about acupuncture and the human body. She explained what she would do during my appointment and answered all of my questions. Liz - and the relaxing sounds and decor of her office - put me at ease right away. First - acupuncture! She inserted a few needles in my hands, face, and legs, and left me to relax. I thought I would be too alert to fall asleep, but I got used to the feeling of the needles after a moment, and the next thing I knew, Liz was back to remove them. Next - Gua Sha. Liz knew about my tense neck and shoulders and suggested this treatment. I Googled it in advance, so I knew I'd have a lot of red/purple coloring in my neck and back. I am very red, but it's worth it! My neck and shoulders are moving much more freely. I already made my next acupuncture appointment. Liz has a community room where patients can come for acupuncture with a sliding scale payment, which I think is a great idea. I look forward to more acupuncture and massages, too!

I had a car accident over 6 months ago and had shoulder/neck/ear pain from whiplash and after her careful but firm massaging, I swear that I could hear better out of the problem side ear. Unfortunately she is too far away for me to continue seeing her but will definitely recommend her to anyone asking for a massage therapist in that area.

I have lots of pain in my neck and shoulders and after just one massage, I feel great. She asked me about my problem areas and offered multiple approaches to the massage. Atmosphere: When I got there they were very nice, professional, the place is clean, well decorated, very relaxing, take cash or card. Treatment: I opted for the 60 minute Chinese bodywork massage. It was wonderful. The piriformis can be a tough area to get into, but she knew how to manipulate my leg to get to it, unlike other masseuses I've been too. My lower back, leg, ankle felt so much better after the treatment. I know I'll need more treatments, however now I feel like my leg is getting better vs steadily getting worse. Other Comments: I don't get the previous reviewer. It's an Asian spa, how can you be so ignorant or intolerant to complain about Asian women speaking in their native language to each other. She must complain about cooks in Chinese restaurants, or girls at Korean nail salons too. I also had a second woman join my massage for a few minutes when nothing else was going on. Normally you have to pay extra for the 4 hand massage but they did not add it to my bill. Again, why would the previous reviewer complain about getting a higher level of service is beyond me.
