Full body massage plus foot massage is reasonably priced; staff is always friendly and owner is a real gentleman. Language can be a barrier with some staff if you expect them to understand an entire English conversation. However, basic massage related words are totally understood. we've been going once a week for the last three years, it has got so bad. Went last Monday for a 30 minute massage, it was horrible. asked the lady to massage harder she would not, she was barley pushing, felt like she was putting sunscreen on. horrible. no hot stones, no warm towel like usual. I asked why no hot stones or towel she said no you wanted 30 minutes ( we get both the hour and 30 minute one and its always the stones and towel. the lady didn't stop talking the whole time to the lady in the room next to me. The family that foot massages together stays together! Well, my family of four has finally found an activity that we all like to do: Foot massages. We were pleasantly surprised by Wellness Foot Spa. It was excellent! Three of us sat in a small room on comfy massage chairs. The fourth had his massage lying down on a table in the outside room. My massage was unique in one respect. This was the first time there was no back and shoulder massage during the foot soak. That was fine with me! After a brief foot soak, my massage technician proceeded to give me a wonderful foot massage. She did the massage with just the right strength and in just the right places. At one point I dozed but I am so glad the towel fell off my face and woke me up. I did not want to miss this. Everyone else in the family enjoyed their massages as well! The staff was so friendly. They let my son feed the fish in the fish tank, which made him very happy. The sliced oranges were a sweet treat and a nice touch. Moved here from LA and it's the best massage place I've been to so far. Used to go to a great Thai massage place in LA (Siam Wala Thai - check it out if you go to LA), and this place is better. Honestly, they are on par with getting a massage in Thailand, China, or Taiwan. Just like my experience at Siam Wala, I trust every massage therapist here. Have had a different one every time, and I come here at least once a month, sometimes twice depending on how sore I get from work. I go straight for 90 minute all-back massage to tackle all the knots in my body, including my tight forearms but especially my neck and back. This is only $80 (without tip); at Siam Wala that would have been $110 without tip, and that was cheap in LA. Last week I felt really sore in my legs too, and the therapist focused on my primary sore spots and got every place I needed within 90 minutes. It truly felt like she took 2 hours because she covered my whole body with attention to detail. To be clear, the massage therapists here perform deep pressure at default (which is typical for Chinese reflexology if you go to China or Taiwan) - that's why I love this place so much. EVERY ONE can find all your knots, your sorest spots, and focus on those areas. If you really want, you basically get a deep tissue massage for regular massage price. You will NOT get that anywhere else. OF COURSE, once you tell them to ease pressure, they do. So I direct them and they get my desired medium pressure very nicely. If you are someone who needs more pressure or you are a larger person, they may offer to step on your back. This provides greater pressure at the desired location. Very typical in any Chinese or Thai massage. I opt out of these, primarily because I want them to feel and focus on my knots. When they use their fingers/thumbs to find and focus on my knots, it feels great. If you have huge knots like mine, they may move to forearms or elbows, which is typical in any deep tissue massage. So this is all to say, if you are someone who enjoys light touch Swedish massages, I would tell them up front to use light touch. But I would most definitely try this place out. read more

Walk-in 60 min foot, 30 min back massage. Not busy when I had my treatment (one or two other customers). Great price and great service. They wear masks. You'll need to point to the chart to indicate which service you want. The massage was deep and made my back feel much better. I'm not sure if my massage therapist would be able to fully understand my spoken needs (possible language barrier), but the massage was spot on and the pressure was sufficient...so maybe the therapist listened to my body's response? My only complaint is that my massage table was near the foot bucket sink station & bathroom. I heard someone loudly clear their throat and hack a loogie. That broke the relaxing ambiance for me. How the store is that there's a front with the cash register, and the actual massage area is separated to block out the outside world from the rush coming from Central Avenue. The staff is very professional and ask if the pressure is good. They use oil that is lightly scented. They have reasonable price, their special is actually 50 dollars now but it beats any other foot spas in the area. After your massage, you will get some water to refresh. No one speaks English here. Due to lack of communication they cannot meet your needs or request. The one time I went the guy literally was peeling my skin off. I thought I went for a massage, not a chemical peel. If your massaging someone's bare skin, your hands shouldn't feel like chipped wood. I couldn't stand the pain any more and requested a new person, they told me I don't have much time left any ways so they couldn't. You barely did my second half! And whether or not I have a minute left... my time is MY time! I am obligated to receive my full 60 mins that I pay for. Walked in for a chair massage Monday January 31 approximately 1115 .A gentleman did chair massage. Pressure was deep and he kept saying "ok?" I said a little less but did not seem to understand. It really was a bit much .But then he used hot rocks to massage and the first one burned so bad I yelled TOO HOT! I took it off & then he put it back on same place ! I yelled " TOO HOT that hurts!! He did this 2 more times!! Language barrier a serious concern here!! when TOO HOT and NO are not understood!! I have been caring for a weeping second degree burn for a week now. I called twice to speak to a manager but it was not understood or relayed .I live a distance from Albany or would have gone back to show management the burn . I'm angry and it hurts. Great foot massage for a very reasonable price. I walked in without an appointment at 5pm on a Friday evening and was seated immediately in a dim room with about 5-6 wide massage chairs. Separating some chairs were see-through string/bead curtains. Light, relaxing music played in the background. (I wanted to say zen-like music, but I'm not quite sure if that's the correct usage :) ) The room was right next to the reception area and the only thing separating the two rooms is a curtain, so I heard background noise once in awhile as customers left or entered the place. This wasn't an issue for me; I only heard one or two short, light conversations while I was there. The masseuse was polite and efficient. He gave me a small towel that draped over my eyes and a larger towel that was placed over my clothes. Next was a brief foot soak. I mentioned that I was a runner and pointed out a certain part of my foot that need a little work since it was sore. I've had massages a few times and the pressure applied here is definitely a little stronger. I'm sure you can tell them to decrease or increase the pressure as you like. Overall the massage was calming and it definitely worked out some knots. Afterwards, I was brought a small plate with a few orange slices, which was refreshing. There are some other spas in the area that will pull out all the stops -- with heated and scented eye masks, complimentary cookies and other assorted treats in a lounge-y waiting area, etc. But this is more of a no-frills place, which is exactly what I was looking for. read more
