BUYER BEWARE: This company paved my driveway in May 2023, and the asphalt failed during the first…read morewinter--less than nine months later. Since spring 2024, I've repeatedly contacted the company by phone and email, hoping they would stand behind their workmanship. Instead, I've experienced more than two years of unanswered calls, broken promises, and repeated inspections with no resolution. In 2025, salesman Joe Reehl inspected the damaged driveway and said he would discuss repairs with the owner once L. Browe was working in the area. I never heard back. I continued calling and emailing. In May 2026, another employee, Joey, met with me, assessed the damage, and said someone would contact me within two weeks regarding repairs. No one did. After another call, I scheduled a second inspection with Joe Reehl on June 20, 2026. After looking at the driveway again, he told me, "I'll speak with the owner. It's his decision." Once again, I never received a response. In July 2026, after yet another call to L. Browe, employee Gabrielle Boomhower told me she had heard they could "patch the damage" but understood that I didn't want a patched driveway. I replied, "That's correct. Patching a driveway that failed because the base wasn't done properly doesn't seem fair to me." (See the second video.) A driveway that costs tens of thousands of dollars should last around 20 years--not less than nine months. Gabrielle then gave me owner Lorne Browe's cell phone number and suggested I call him directly. I did, but he never returned my call. I want to be fair: the paving crew's work ethic was excellent. My complaint is not about the crew--it's about the company's refusal to stand behind its work after the driveway failed. Mistakes can happen on any job. What matters is how a company responds. After years of phone calls, emails, inspections, and lack of follow-up, I am warning people so they don't end up in my position. They ripped up the old driveway that had the gravel, leveled it out. There were around 10 or 11 guys including the owner. It looks beautiful. We had a few estimates and decided on Fossett's. Neil the owner came down and did the estimate after my wife explained what she wanted done. He listened and made a few recommendations and so we agreed on a price and a date. They came down around 7:00 A.M. and were gone by 2:00 P.M. They did a fantastic job and Neil the owner stayed and worked with the crew the whole time. We were home and he kept us posted on what was going on. His crew were very friendly and really worked hard on this. We had some refreshments in the refrigerator in the garage so the guys could just help themselves to the gatorade, water while they worked. I just provided a plastic container for them to thrown them the empties. He has a very polite crew. I would recommend them anytime. By the way, the price was good also.

They were responsive, quoted us fairly, on time, professional and lead with integrity. Last fall when we received the quote, we had some other repairs on the house that needed to be completed first. Davco told us what we could do in the meantime to tide us over, which they were under no obligation to do. Their suggestions worked AND when we reached out to them last month to say we were ready to start our chimney and foundation work, not only did they honor the quote, they had us booked on the calendar within a week. The masonry work they did on our house looks beautiful and they're even coming back to complete the last couple of spots after National Grid wraps our power lines. I can't say enough about this company. We will always use and recommend them.

On 4/24/25 I contracted with Davco to have a cement sidewalk connecting the existing east side…read moresidewalk around the back of the home to a existing patio then from the patio up the west side of the home connecting to the existing front sidewalk. The contract stated 98LF,5"wide, and 6" deep as discussed.the price of the job was 8,400.00 which was paid in cash 50% to start, 25% after removal of forms and 25% upon completion. The job was started approximately June 10th, by mid August the cement was pitting, a crack formed where the sidewalk meets the patio, no backfill was placed and cement on the garage and house.Dave was contacted and did send a worker to clean but nothing else was addressed. Two other workers stopped by and stated the job was not done correctly there is a heaved, and the crack was a combination of no rebar and excavation was not done properly. Fast forward to April 2026,after the winter there is a second crack on the east side connecting to the existing front sidewalk. My husband contacted Dave via email stated the job is not complete no backfill still and two cracks now. Dave set a worker to backfill and stopped himself where he had a conversation with my husband about the cracks and in his mind the job was completed and offered no reason for the cracks. I have left 2 voice messages May/June No response! The ironic piece of this story the supervisor of this job stopped by August 2025 on his own to make the necessary corrections to the job. Unbeknown to us he had been fired from Davco 2025 based on two botched jobs one being a garage as told to us by an employee. All I want is what I paid for and a little customer service goes a long way. The owner could care less if a customer is pleased. He tries to bully people by his attitude and belligerent manners. Made a complaint to the BBB which he has not responded to. I would not recommend him or his company to a dead man!

Mike called a week or so later to say the crew would be here at 8 am the next day. Crew was on time. Completed the job which was removing the asphalt at the at the top of the driveway and replacing it. It looked great and they also edged the lawn where the driveway was replaced. They roped off the driveway so no one would drive on it. Next day it is pouring rain, and my garage floor is dry!!! Could not be more satisfied with the job.

The paving has 1 depression where water pools. Paving was not compacted on 10' of one edge. Grass & weeds are growing through the paving after 6 months. I had to sue Clark Myers to force them to finish the job. At this point, they did everything up to the actual paving. As soon as they received the paperwork from the Scotia Town Court, their lawyer contacted me. If I withdraw the lawsuit, Clark Myer will finish the job.

We called him to come and seal our driveways after the two months was up and he said that he would call us back to set up a date and time and never did and from then on out would not answer our calls. He is not truthful, he scammed us and because of this I would never recommend him to anyone. It is unfortunate.

Before we bought our house in Albany, we had it inspected. That's just what you do. And a good…read moreinspector is tough. They've seen it all. The good. The bad. The ugly. One thing our inspector called out was the quality of the roof. It was excellent. Not only that, but he commended the roofers on the quality of its construction. I tucked this memory away for about twelve years, until the day a tree fell on our house and tore a hole through our perfectly good roof. Thankfully, we were insured. In all the chaos of trying to repair the damage to the car, remove the tree, shore up the hole, and replace the garage door, there was on thing that I was sure about: We would hire Z. Ipek & Sons to replace the roof. After all, they were the contractors who wowed our inspector over a decade ago. When Omer came over to give me the estimate, he remembered putting the roof on our house. Except for the fallen tree, it was holding up very well. He was able to swing by before the insurance adjuster visited, which helped to provide me with some critical information for the adjuster. The only hard part was that we were in a race against time. Z. Ipek had a full work load, and Omer would soon be leaving for a long deserved vacation to attend a family wedding. And to make matters more complicated, our house was on the market at the time, plus we were actively in the process of moving out, with movers, a truck, and everything. Amazingly, Omer and his crew made it happen! I may have panicked a little bit when I saw the crew on the roof earlier than expected on moving day. But they had planned for the window when the moving truck needed to be in the driveway. I cannot say how Z. Ipek compares to other roofers on quality or cost. But the actual cost wasn't a penny higher than the original estimate. And they were able to execute all the work within the budget of the insurance claim. If that's not a five star roofer, I don't know what is.

They had to come back a few times to fix things that could have been avoided if done right the first time. They cut corners in areas that would not be seen by us, the homeowners. But we had another contractor doing work for us and they pointed out the issues. Last was that they did not do a good job at all of cleaning up after the siding job was completed. I'm still finding debris and this was done in May 2026.

Been told tomorrow, today or tomorrow like 4 times. 2 storms and possibly peeling the roof off later, still got later today, today. That's like four times. Me still paying over $200 dollars a month for a roof that's peeling off, but no one shows up to fix it. No money involved? Maybe when a storm comes and rips the rest of it off, you'll worry about it when you have to replace the whole thing. Talked to 3 people, still getting bullshit. Come fix your mistake.
