Let me give you some understanding with thier level of honestly! So I took my 2006 Lexus GX470 to Greensboro Toyota just to see what a timing belt and waterpump would cost me to have replaced for the 100k service. Greensboro Toyota quoted me $2,700 for the timing belt and waterpump replacement and then also tacked on wheel bearings at $3,200 bringing my cost up to $5,900. Now I've worked on 4th 4Runners before and I've replaced my timing belt on my previous 4Runner, I know from experience it's not that expensive nor do you need wheel bearings for a 100k mile service. I chose to not replace this on my own this time because I hate working on my own vehicles. So I took my truck to J Medic and the cost alone for the timing belt and water pump kit was rought $1,400 give or take a few dollars and they looked over my wheel bearings and told me that they don't need replacing. They had the parts, and I told them they needed to be replaced because Toyota said so and they could have gone out of their way to replace the parts, and charge for service hours but didn't. I don't know of many mechanic shops that would say hey this is perfect based on information you present to them. Now I don't know about you, but any mechanic that is "Brutally Honest" with you is the mechanic I want to go to. Pat and the boys over at J Medic will take care of you in the most honest way. You want good serivce got to J Medic, if you want to be treated like family, and spend your honest dollar go to J Medic. Trusted, Honest, Reliable and So Smart/Knowledgeable! WOW, we were passing through and had an A/C problem. Not only did he make an appointment the next day, he treated us as if we were neighbors. Took time to explain, fit us in early to allow us to get back on the road, and solved our problem to perfection (even including a sheet of instructions in case we had the issue again). Wish I lived here, he would definitely be the mechanic of choice. Take your vehicle here, I guarantee you will be glad you did. ***DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS SHOP*** Quoted $1500 to repair fuel leak here, turns out it was FALSE, INACCURATE diagnostic test performed, I went with my gut, took it for a second diagnostic at the actual Audi dealership, TURNS OUT IT WAS A MINOR ISSUE (screenshots for proof) I wouldn't trust any reviews you see here. I would Definitely suggest take your vehicle for a legitimate diagnostic test at the dealership (same price more or less) if this place says you have a big issue to repair. Not to mention, after I said I would not perform the work there and that I planned to take it to dealership, I receive my vehicle back with a crack in my windshield (explained this, asked to have them check cameras) their response was "take it to a glass shop to repair it yourself" I have no reason to make this up as windshields can be replaced for free if cracked on highway. This business is totally shady if you ask me. Use them for oil changes and minor issues is my only suggestion, anything more, go elsewhere! read more

I hadn't been to J Medic much since it moved to its current location. I was initially referred to Randy and J Medic by Flow Volkswagen for my 2011 Routan (which is basically the Chrysler Town & Country in a Volkswagen body). After trying a couple other places more local to me, when my van did not start Wednesday, I had it towed to J Medic. I didn't realize until when i picked up my van up that Randy had sold the business to Patrick a few months ago. Patrick was very patient and thorough with getting the problem identified and fixed, and inspecting the van to make sure it was road worthy for a long trip this Memorial Day weekend. I was a little hesitant when I had heard of Randy's sale, but driving home I could tell that Patrick did as good a job or even better than before. The van has not run this well in quite a while. I will update if something changes, but I am very pleased and will definitely be going back to Patrick's J Medic! read more

Brought my 2014 Dodge Avenger R/T in. Another shop had apparently put an aftermarket condenser in and used factory fittings. My car blew tranny fluid everywhere. These guys found the problem, went way out of there way to help, called the other shop, wormed out the issues and kept me informed. The father and son team at J Medic CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR VEHICLE. These guys are honest, friendly and fix it right. I will never take my car anywhere else. I have extended warranty through Carmax. This shop is a Carmax provider and your deductible is the same as if you go to Carmax. These guys work with the insurance company for you and handle everything. As always, Stacey and the others at J Medic went above and beyond to help me replace a cracked spare tire bracket on my '97 Jeep. Stacey spent extra time just searching their shop for a used part that would save me money, and when that failed, he then found a heavy-duty, lightly used part elsewhere to save me money and ensure that this wouldn't happen again. I was in and out in half an hour once the part arrived. There's no where else I'll take my Jeep while here in Winston-Salem. read more
