She redirected me to her website and told me how to make the appointment for the Groupon. Jessica's salon was very clean and organized. There weren't other people being serviced at the same time, so she focused solely on my hair needs. She's very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Jessica was honest about the condition of my hair and advised me of the steps she was taking to return it to a healthy state. My appointment seemed to go by very quickly, but it was in no way rushed. Due to her commitment to communication with her clients and how absolutely gorgeous my hair turned out, I will be back. The stylist was available for questions and responded quickly via SMS. She was very professional and knowledgable. I was met promptly for appointment by her assistant the next. She performed take down, shampoo and braid down services. After completing the braid down, the assistant indicated that there was a $40 braid down fee. I didn't see this on the website when I booked nor was it disclosed with the initial consultation. Since, she was very thorough with the QW take down and shampoo, I did not take issue with the fee. There was confusion as to who I should pay. Do I pay her directly or will it be in the total cost at the end of the service. I immediately cashapp the assistant as to not halt the styling. While there the assistant spoke to the stylist in confidence concerning the matter of another client there questioning the $40 braid down fee. The stylist indicated that everybody knows that there is a braid down fee. However, the website indicates a price of $200 for Quick Weave Pixie with Braid down. Hence, the confusion of me and the other client there at the salon at that time. Then, the stylist installed the mold and quick weave. Then, completed the styling with a pixie cut. I asked the stylist what was my remaining balance due to I had already paid a $50 deposit upon my initial consultation. She indicated that the remaining balance was $255. To this point I had already given $90 (deposit + braid down fee). I inquired as to does the $255 include the $50 deposit. She indicated that the hair service total was $285 and deducting the $50 deposit would bring the remaining balance to $255. I indicated that that calculations were off that the correct amount of $285 minus the deposit should be $235. She acknowledged my correction. I did the math on my services after sitting and looking at the posted prices online. Online at http://www.hairbydonetta.com... the Quick Weave with braid down is $200... take down is $25.... this website has a copyright year of 2022... That would bring my service to $225. If that added the additional braid down fee due to hair length that would total to $265. She did do my eyebrows... maybe +$20.. that would bring total to $285... There was nothing online indicating that there was a price change... In addition, this site is linked from IG with still now indication in bio that there were price changes... in initial phone consultation there was no indication that the prices online are no longer active I sent a message to stylist immediately following my findings, and I didn't receive the same response that I had been accustomed... I even sent a message to assistant indicating that I may have overpaid... no response the following day... I submitted another request to assistant requesting a refund via cashapp.. I received a decline from assistant. After filing claim with Wells Fargo, I received message from stylist indicating that the prices of her quick weaves were $285 and braid down fee is $40... so the total price according stylist is $325 but online it's $200 + additional $25 take down fee... that's a HUGE discrepancy in the tune of $100 included screenshot of posted prices...

She was professional and very informative She also had a lot of patience with me when I told her this would be my very first quick weave. She fully explain to me the process of the quick weave and also requested that I send her pictures of what style I was looking to achieve. Then we set an appointment for 2p today and she was there on time and waiting for me. She also went so far as to explain each step to me as she was doing it and my style came out great. There were only two things I did not like about the salon: 1. The name of the salon is called Glamour Styles and it's on the second floor of Tantrums (a preschool toddler care or something like that). 2. The stairs are kind of scary... would be very easy to fall down. Once you get past all of that, the salon is very beautiful on the inside mostly wooden has lots of shampoo chairs and dryer chairs and also each hairstylist is in a different suite. So you don't have to sit in the middle of the open floor while everyone watches you get your hair done. Bottom line: I would recommend this salon to a friend and I will be going back to get my hair done again.
