This is a two-person salon with Lauren (owner) and Austin. When we moved back to Atlanta this past summer, my wife searched Yelp for a salon close to our home. She chose Lauren Reyes Salon based on their average Yelp rating, Yelp reviews, and what she saw on Lauren Reyes' Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/laurenreyessalon/ She liked what she saw. Lauren Reyes Salon is located inside Ansley Mall. The entrance is an interior entrance that does not face the parking lot. To find the salon, head towards the back of the mall's central courtyard. My wife likes to park on the CVS side of the mall because it's easier and less congested. Lauren and Austin have a room inside a shared salon space. My wife likes this place because it's easy to schedule an appointment, intimate, and convenient. She came here before getting her professional headshots and photos done at her new job. Austin did a great job. My wife also likes that Austin uses Davines products, the same high-end hair products that her previous salon, Rock Paper Scissors Salon in Durham, North Carolina, used. I've been going to see Lauren for haircuts and color since 2017 if that's any testament to her services! She's good at listening to what I want and giving suggestions that help me understand what the outcome of a color choice will be - whether that's going lighter with highlights (and making sure to keep my hair healthy) or going back to darker color in the fall. I came to Lauren Reyes salon in desperate need of a color correction. I had gone to another salon for "balayage" that looked more like bright, brassy 90's highlights. Talk about talent. Lauren is one of the most hardworking and talented people I know. I actually found her by manhunting on Yelp for the best colorist in Atlanta. She runs a boutique salon in Ansley Mall, and when I say "boutique" I mean she is a 1-woman show. Some people may like the factory-style salons where there are 20-50+ stylists and receptionists and assistants, but with Lauren you get one-on-one attention, care, and time. I think one of the most profound interactions I had with Lauren was when I showed her a picture of what I wanted. Typically a stylist in a big salon will take a quick glance and immediately start preparing the color. Lauren took time to look into the technique, the color, and the details of the picture. Not just a quick glance, she took the time to really look at it, and talk to me realistically about what we were working towards. She is talented, and her clientele knows it so she books up quickly. I recommend booking well in advance and I promise you it is worth it to plan ahead. Best kept secret in ATL hair. read more

After making the move to Atlanta I spent several months (yes, months) researching who the best stylist for my hair needs would be. I ran across Lauren's work on Instagram (@hair_church) and instantly knew she was the perfect match for me. I wanted a fresh cut with face framing layers and also wanted to try the whole balayage thing. I hadn't colored my hair in several years and her work showcased her talents in not just her flawless understanding of color application, but as styling and cut as well. The day of the appointment she was nothing but accommodating and was so easygoing yet professional in every aspect.
