We came here after dinner one night for a treat and we were easily overwhelmed and in awe of all the options at J'MZ. The people behind the counter were friendly and patient, and gave us great recommendations. There was a nice "mom and pop" store feel. Our kids each got a custard in a cone, which was the perfect size. My husband ordered a peanut butter smoothie/shake which tasted better than most nut-heavy shakes I've ever had. I'm just not a huge peanut butter fan. The experience was nice that we would gladly go back again. I'd want to try one of their acai bowls or even some coffee. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all but the place is VERY tiny, only 2 tables along a thin walkway & 2 more tables in the front so definitely not coming here to hang out. The menu is overwhelming. I think we had to spend 3-5 minutes just trying to figure out what all was on it. Along with this, the prices are high so you don't want to try just anything I got the gulabo ($8 for M) with chai and maybe I should've done espresso. It was the sweetest drink I've ever tasted but I'm the person that chooses 25% sweet at tiny bubbles or no added sweetener in my matcha at Starbucks. The (owner) asked if I'd like my drink made differently and I said no because I'm not sure they could unsweeten this one. I believe the chai is from a torani syrup not freshly brewed but I could be mistaken..I saw a chai syrup so that's why I assumed this. Either way, I brewed more tea at home and just mixed it in as a "creamer" and then it was perfect The drink did taste like a galab jamun which was wild and there was even one in the drink which my toddler loved ha It was a cool novelty drink. I'd probably try the popcorn one if I came back for giggles or an ube bowl - I'd definitely have to examine the menu more The bowls all come with banana and granola and honey so you don't have to add additional toppings unless you want them. Every drink / food has add ons which sounds like Burger King have it your way vibes but it was just overwhelming for us. I'm not even sure I got pictures of all the menus They roast and sell their own coffee for $22 for each bag - you can see the size in my photos They also have some baked goods They also make / sell custard They also have popping bobas They also have Mexican style mangonadas They also have some Dubai chocolate type drink for $16 Frappes Lattes Smoothies A million other items which is cool for novelty but I'm not sure how it'll work as a long term business model. That's a lot to keep on hand It's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking The owner was very friendly and had a lot of information which was great and definitely added to the experience Overall, it was an interesting experience. This is by far the best smoothie bowl that I've ever had. We decided to take a drive so I can try it. I had passion fruit and dragon fruit as my base. They come all come with banana and I added mango, strawberry, and granola a/ a drizzle of honey. They ingredients were dress which made the bowl taste 10x better. That's all on top of the super variety of bowls you can create or get one of their recipes. The menu is so easy to read. If you haven't been, GO! Love this place! Very bright and clean inside. I was given a few juice samples to try, ending up getting "Yr Luv", a green juice that was very yummy and well balanced, perfect amount of sweetness. I also tried a latte which was very delicious as well and the turkey sausage egg sandwich with the croissant bun. Croissant was nice and soft and sandwich was nice and warm. Service was outstanding!!! The gentleman who helped me was very kind and patient. It was my first time so he made some recommendations and explained the items they had. Joyful mouths and joyful hearts. I enjoyed walking into and learning about this new business. They quit their jobs once the kids went to college to pursue their dreams! I tried the love latte. It was different but good. Like a coffee treat. I had to mix it up but he preserved the layers for my photo. That was so sweet! I also got my son a specialty soda. I think I should have gotten half the flavor since he doesn't drink juice that often but he tried it. I thought it was great though! I am excited to go back in a few weeks and try their smoothies. I Learned about some of JMZ self-roasted coffees, all dairy free, non-gmo or artificial sweeteners menu, and the many different custards & sodas that they make in house for you right there. I got the Essentials smoothie (Bananas,Apple,Kiwi,Cucumber,Kale,Spinach & Lemongrass).. 11/10 !! Highly recommend this smoothie or any of their other delicious products. Lovely mom and pop place with a welcoming owner. There is a huge selection here - they roast their own coffee beans, make their own granola, and have a huge selection of sugar-free smoothies and even make-your-own soda combinations. I don't know of any place like this in the East Cobb area. They are tucked away a bit in a strip small area and are easy to miss but deserve all the success. read more

J'mz, also known as Gems or just JMZ, is my favorite restaurant discovery of 2025. I expected a run of the mill smoothie shop but JMZ has become our new go-to spot for acai bowls, smoothies, boba, unique refreshers and more. The fresh, organic fruit and unique selection of acai and other bowl bases makes for a delectable creation that is not only hard to find in Georgia, but honestly across the whole of the US. There's a reason they advertise having the most types of bases for any bowls. We absolutely love acai bowls and anything like them and have yet to find another spot with the freshness or creativity of JMZ. The texture of the base is perfect, like a spoonable and rich sorbet, and the owners take immense pride in the testing and care that went into each one. The ability to layer two bases means you can get things like a cacao passion fruit base or a strawberry matcha base, or my personal recent discovery, cacao and ube. You simply can't find these flavor profiles at any other acai bowl spot. The toppings are ode-worthy, too. The granola is all gluten free and made in house. In addition to an array of ultra-fresh fruits and your bowl stalwarts like Nutella, you also have unique ingredients like bee pollen, homemade chia pudding and almond butter. The bowls are very generous and once you get into adding a layer territory, it's very satisfying to split. Especially if you throw an elderberry and dragonfruit lemonade into the mix. The coffee is sustainably sourced and the chai is a family recipe with a direct hit of spice. Personal fave there is iced with a caramel syrup. The custard conctions are flavorsome and unique, from the ordinary cookies and creme to the unique chai or rose petal flavors. The boba is also excellent. The popping boba is the best I've had anywhere, with that perfect textural pop and an intriguing array of flavors. The tapioca pearls are excellent, definitely among the best in the state. What can't be understated is the warmth, generosity of spirit and kindness of the family that created and runs JMZ. They will immediately learn your name and order, talk with great passion about their product, and getting to know them is just part of the joy of eating here and seeing how much they care about each customer as they walk in. It's a legitimately special spot and a place that always leaves me elated to visit. I've attached a variety of pics from different visits. The have freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, acai bowls, all assortments of coffee lattes and frappucinos, custard, avocado toast, custom flavored sodas, and other pastries. The staff are so friendly and truly care about the customer. They want you to make the flavor your own and focus on giving superb service. The mango juice was phenomenal and served with cold foam. I stopped in here to get a coffee and I absolutely loved everything about it. The service was fantastic--I assume that I was served by the owner--and he gave me the run-down on the business; this is the first sustainable coffee shop in the area, they offer a nice range of roasted coffee beans and teas, they make their frozen custard in-house, and more. I signed up for the rewards program using my phone number and email, and I already have a reward for 50% off any menu item! I got the Brown Sugar Thai Latte and it's amazing, though only limited-time. I got to choose the beans used in my drink, which is an experience I've never had. The menu is extensive, including different types of avocado toasts, liege waffles, açaí bowls, fresh smoothies made from 100% juice (with no sugar added), many types of coffee and tea drinks, and a lot more. They also have a bunch of bagged granolas/bites that are made in Marietta. The shop was very clean and nicely decorated, and it seems like a very nice place to sit and chat with a friend. I would love to see more people in there! I love seeing new family-owned businesses, and I really want this one to succeed! I think it's a great little place, and I don't want it to go unnoticed, especially because it's a bit tucked away in a strip mall. However, it's definitely worth seeking out and trying!
