Cafe Rivkah is a cute little boutique breakfast/brunch spot in East Cobb. It sits in a Kroger shopping plaza and is a few doors down from one of the big brunch places (that gives me a good feeling that a little place holds its own next to one of the chains). It's a walk up, order, and be seated place. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and super helpful. Don't arrive in a huge hurry ... they take their time and deliver personalized service to each customer. Come in, sit down, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy some conversation and tasty food. Even though it's a sit-yourself, the team checked on us numerous times to make sure we were all set. We ordered avocado toast, khachapuri, and challah French toast. The sourdough was the star of the avocado toast! The French toast was delicious and a huge portion, and the khachapuri tasty too (looked like a breakfast pizza of sorts). We bought some bagels and challah for home and looking forward to enjoying them over the next few days. Next time, I need to try something from the bakery selection. They were drool-worthy.

Cafe Rivkah is a great wonderful little spot for coffee, breakfast, lunch, bakery items, and pick up family dinners. The cafe is comfortable with various seating options from booths, to traditional tables & chairs, and even two little conversation areas with sofas and comfortable chairs. I have visited numerous times, often just with a friend or two, but also with a large group. Service and the staff has always been the best. The staff is friendly & helpful.

Unusually, I did not research this place much in advance, and it was the sort of place that takes a bit to wrap your head around, because they offer so much. A bakery and an ethnically diverse cafe menu left me spoiled for choice. I ended up settling for both a salad and a donut. By the time you consider the soft cheese on top of the salad, the roasted potato side, and the cream-filled donut, it was a pretty indulgent breakfast. The donut was rich and not overly sweet, allowing the hazelnut flavor to shine through. What really sold me was the dressing that came with the salad, a sweet and spicy mix that I've had some version of before but could not place. The potatoes were delicious too, and the London Fog, which the young staff working there announced they would learn how to make, came out fine. Other menu options ranged widely. I think most dietary needs could be accommodated, and most palates could be excited, by a shop that clearly is a product of some considerable thought.

This sandwich is insane! It's like a donut with donut filling with schnitzel absolutely amazing, crazy combo and fries were so crispy. Love it here!

Cafe Rivkah is very quaint and homely...You will feel the joy from not only the staff but the ambiance. Patricia and Biti are very warm lovely ladies. What a great way to start my morning! Their menu seems to be a bit of middle eastern flair mixed with American breakfast and lunch items. Even some indian and swiss ingredients Ranging from 5.99- $13.99. They also have delicious bakery items such as glazed donuts, breads, croissants, cheese Danish, cakes. You may see chicken pesto sandwich then also see falafel and hummus wrap. Then suddenly see a Lebanese style breakfast plate. There is a breakfast bowl and it's also then served with paneer. But youll also have awesome fruit topped challah french toast.on their lunch side, they also have beef kafta and rice. The menu could be more organized in categories like "American breakfast" to "Mediterranean style" but that's super minor. I had a very interesting twist to the traditional Benedict. When ordering this you may have it with smoked salmon or bacon..for extra charge you can have it over English muffin or also have gluten free option with potato rosti. Rosti is a traditional Swiss dish of grated potato that is rolled into a small flat cake and fried. It's different from hasbrowns in that it's not sautéed and typically already cooked. Rosti is more like a potato pancake. My only suggestion is give just a tad big more hollandaise sauce. Everything else was seasoned just right and look forward to trying every item. I also had the green matcha latte which can be either overpower or underpowered. It has a very good balance in the beverage. After you're done please put plates on top of trash. I'm always trying to find a better routine including places to eat at. Definitely will come back as my morning joint and a new place to just catch up with a friend. Highly recommend this place!

Great cafe in Kroger shopping center. Nice selection of pastries & breakfast/lunch selections. Very friendly counter server. We selected the eggs Bennie & Eggs/bacon on a croissant plus a morning bun. The eggs Bennie was served on a delicious hash brown round. My husband enjoyed this! My egg/bacon croissant was large. The egg/bacon croissant was too buttery for my taste. I should have omitted the bacon & gone with a bagel. The morning bun was fresh with an orange flavor. The coffee was very good! We got another morning bun to go. Great place & nice choices.

Everything here is top notch! The quality is exceptional and I'm just so glad that east Cobb has Cafe Rivkah now because we have a veritable European bakery in the neighborhood. The dalgona coffee is next level. Especially on a hot summer day it will quench your thirst and give you a caffeine kick! Change up your coffee routine and ditch the chains and support local. All the croissants here are to die for. The plain, chocolate, and almond croissants are delightful. I can't wait to come back for some brunch and sample more pastries!

First time trying Cafe Rivkah and I'm so glad I did! I tried the Georgian Cheese bread (adjaruli khachapuri) and man it did not disappoint! Crusty fresh hot bread, salty melty cheese and an egg with a runny yolk....why haven't I had this before! The pastries looked amazing and I will be coming back to explore the menu. But this is a little jewel in East Cobb!

Holy Cow this place is good. I've been here twice and Cafe Rivkah has blown me away both times. The first time I was here I had the shawarma wrap, Amazing! This time I got the burger and Parmesan Chips; phenomenal. They make the buns in house, and it's not just any bun, it's like a croissant bun hybrid. They toast it perfectly. Also, the aoli sauce they give you on the side is a MUST. It's soooo good. You HAVE TO eat here. It's amazing.

My average wait time for food once ordered was 35 minutes ( my second trip the wait was over 45 minutes for two breakfast items!). I know Atlanta area restaurants are known for its atlantude from staff when dining out ,but everyone was pleasant, everything here was very slow moving. This may be an understaffing issue. Food was average tasting and nothing stood out. I would recommend avoiding this spot for the cost paid for the meal and the slow speed.

As you walk in, there's a case of bakery-type items along the wall and butter-creme frosted cakes displayed under the order counter. I asked the man behind the counter if they have cooked food. They don't, but he offered me the alternative to what I had described, a torta. If you're as "American apple pie" as I am, looking around the shop, its easy to confuse a "torta" with a "tarte" or pastry. The "torta" here is a pressed sandwich, filled with meat that he called 'turkey ham' (he assured me that it was not pork), onions, tomato, cheese, avocado and jalapeños if you can handle 'em. While I waited for the young lady to make my torta, the gentleman offered me a choice of complimentary baked treat to try. Who here doesn't love a free sample!? Ok! He rattled off some of the names, but had me at cheesecake! I took them both to-go, mainly because, although there was a cooler full of cold drinks and soda, I couldn't find a hint/whiff of coffee in the place. I would've asked but I'd reach my personal 'question quota' with the sandwich. DELICIOUS, by the way! I like that the press left the bread crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and all the sandwich fixins were still crispy & cool-not soggy or melty. The cheesecake looks kinda like a lemon square, has a cookie-cake texture bottom crust and a 'cheese danish' type filling that's nicely browned on the top. The serving is big enough to split for now & later-which I had every intention of doing. But, I mean, who was I kidding?! It was YUMMY. This place is fairly new, so I hope it'll add hot drinks (if it doesn't already have them...) and a to-go menu with descriptions, so I can decide what I want to try, ahead of my next visit.

Jordan recommended Lush Cakery to my fiancee and me (our planner does not accept kickbacks, but instead passes on any discounts she may get on to us) and that is enough praise for me. My fiancee, through her own research, noticed that Lush Cakery has had a hand in a lot of nice weddings in Atlanta. She absolutely loves the look of Lush's cakes (she describes them as beautiful, fun, and creative). I asked Kat how many weddings she did last year and she told me, if I recall correctly, 185 (all by herself!). She doesn't plan on doing that many per year going forward, but she definitely has the experience and is well known in the Atlanta wedding community. Kat moved into a cute space just off Marietta Square a couple years ago. There's a retail space, open four days a week, and a tasting room, available by appointment only. The shop can also be booked for small events like bridal and baby showers. Kat was waiting for us promptly at our appointment time. My fiancee and I were accompanied by our planner for the tasting. The tasting room was quaint and charming. It reminded my fiancee of an attractive sitting room, like something you would see on HGTV. We got to know Kat and she got to know us. She let us swipe through cake designs on her iPad while talking to us about our wedding, our tastes/visions for our cake, and how our cake would align with our wedding overall. For example, we talked about the season of our wedding, whether it's going to be indoor or outdoor, etc. These kinds of things can affect the ingredients and flavors of our wedding cake. There was a menu at the table with Lush's most popular wedding cake flavors. We tasted the following six flavors: * Salted caramel * Amaretto white chocolate red raspberry * Triple chocolate hazelnut * Grand Marnier strawberries and cream * Cinnamon * Cream cheese pound with lemon curd Kat had the first five flavors in the list above ready to go on a plate for each of us. The last one was requested by my fiancee who was interested in trying the lemon curd after seeing it on the menu. My eyes lit up as I bit into these cakes. What impressed me most about them was actually not their flavor, but their consistency. Every single slice was perfectly fluffy and moist. They were tender and delicate with good crumb. Flavor-wise, they were sweet, but not too sweet. My favorite flavors were the salted caramel and the strawberries and cream. My fiancee's favorite flavors were the amaretto white chocolate red raspberry and the triple chocolate hazelnut. My fiancee thought both the strawberry and cinnamon tasted delicious, but were a little too simple for her tastes. The cream cheese pound cake with lemon curd was outstanding, but we agreed that we liked the lighter, less dense textures of the other cakes for our wedding cake. Everything we tried tasted great, so what it really came down to here was personal preference. We want a classic, elegant looking cake so Kat suggested a traditional three-tier round cake. We'll have it decorated with flowers from our florist, Julie Coffin of Unique Floral Expressions, who is one of the rock stars of the Atlanta wedding industry and whom Kat has worked many weddings with. We chose our cake and icing flavors, along with a fun design extra, and were quoted under $700 for our cake (tax and delivery included). The cake will serve 100. We'll have more than 100 guests, but there will be other dessert options too. Kat's quote is about $200 higher than another quote we recently received, so Lush is on the higher side. However, the other quote did not include an extra design element and the Lush quote also includes a "complimentary" anniversary tier a year after our wedding. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a date. We received Kat's proposal via email quickly after our meeting. My fiancee had a question and it didn't take long for Kat to respond. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. Now we just have to make a decision! Throughout our wedding planning process so far, this has turned out to be the most difficult decision yet.
