TLDR; You're going to pay $30+tip for a simple regular manicure, no design, and they have no fans. So make sure you're real careful for a long time after, because they do not dry properly. --------------- Went in for a manicure, the nail tech was very nice. Service was adequate. Place has been redone and is nice. They weren't sure what to charge me since "not a lot of people come in for regular manicures anymore". ( Also the reason they don't have any normal fans in the place, and probably why my nails are damaged less than 2 hours after getting them done. ) I go up to pay, sign right next to the counter says "$20+", this was a simple manicure, 1 color, no design. The girl asks me cash or card, I say card. She tells me, $28. I said the sign says $20. She tells me the boss, upped the prices 10%. I say that would still only be $22, she repeats it's $28, plus a $2 card charge. At that point, it is what it is, so I pay her and tip the nail tech, but I definitely won't be back. Your signage should match your pricing, at least within reason, and $30 for you to clip, file and paint my nails is ridiculous. Especially when I can't even dry them properly. read more

Gave this place a second chance with a new crew and tech. I loved how my nails turned out but the Rhein stones on my nails started to fall off the next day, with two jobs, a religious holiday and my birthday week i started to call this location starting July 15 when I was finally back from my vacation. The phone was unanswered twice on July 16, I tried again on July 17th and discovered they are closed on Sundays then on July 18th I finally got a hold of some one and asked if I can come in to get my nails fixed as the rhinestones started to fall off the next day. I was told I can come in to get them fixed July 20th. I took off early from work to get my prolonged $90 nails finally fixed. As I'm sitting patiently in the waiting area, I start to get investigated by the gentleman there who I think is the tech's husband. He said you had your nails done on the 17th? And I said no it was done on the 7th as clearly I was not informed on the phone that there was a certain time period to come back to them when THEY MESS UP YOUR NAILS WITH POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS. Mind you, even though my birthday and the holiday were a little disappointing as the rhinestones have fallen off, even then I was not showing any attitude or giving the tech a hard time. I felt extremely humiliated as all the other customers who sat there stared me down. The gentleman continued making rude comments and smirked and said I guess I'll fix your nails. I obviously told him at this point that please do not worry about it, and walked out of there. I guess this business has way too many regulars for them to be anything close to human with new customers. I guess when you own a business in Newburgh, you start to think everyone is trying to hustle something out of you. They lost eligible regular customer today. I would never step back in this facility ever again! No matter how good you can do nails, learn some customer service skills because I don't spend my money where I don't feel respected! Definitely recommend J nails ! I've been going faithfully to Tracy since the day she started. Tracy does great quality nails and I'm sure the other techs do as well. (Once I find someone who does a good... job I stay with them) HOWEVER everyone in there seems very nice and professional! I never have to wait for my appointment and I'm in and out within an hour or less with dope nails (as you can see in the pictures) I will continue to go to jnails and you should as well :) read more

I love this Nail Salon. Sony is a master at pedi's. He spends plenty of time masssaging the ropey, fibrous tissue in the calf muscle, and knots on the sole of my feet. Sony is excellent , is an excellent leader to own the salon, & a great all around guy; Sony is always pleasant. This is a busy, thriving salon; This is the only place i need to go! Walked in on a Wednesday evening, not busy at all, nice quite environment. The employees were nice. I was pleased to find put they do powdered dip. Had lots of colors to choose from. Very Affordable price. My tech was very thourough on length and shape. She made sure I was satisfied before moving on and made any adjustments she needed to. So .. I decided to give them another try with new crew.. When I say they suck in every which way!! I had my nails done I quess it was another form of gel. They were all uneven and bulking... also since I was there was offered to get a pedicure which wasn't all that great because I had to remind the technician to do my other foot.With all that being said they charged over $100 and I hate to say this I also tipped them. My daughter took a look at them and said your cuticles were bleeding and red. Never again lousy work!! I wish I can give no stars. read more

This place has HORRIBLE customer service! In short, I waited over a half hour without being acknowledged by anyone who worked in the shop before I decided to leave. I called 20 minutes before getting there, they took my name down told me to come in, I get there and stand at the counter for 5 minutes before sitting down. After sitting for 15 minutes without anyone asking my name/what I needed, I get up again to ask how much longer it is going to be. An employee finishes with a customer, rings her out, and sits back down WHILE I'm in line to ask how long it will take. She COMPLETELY ignores me. I have to interrupt the guy who looks like he owns the place to ask him how much longer. He says 20-25 minutes. I waited for 30 more minutes. After no acknowledgement again, I decided I wasn't going to waste anymore time, got up and left. They just want people in to get money, don't care about anything else. If you have all day to waste, go for it. If you have a life, go somewhere that will at least be real with you and not just try to bring people in. read more

To start, if you are charging $50 for a spa pedi I expect a little more attention to the service provided. It was obvious the guy doing my pedi was in a rush! He gave an ok massage, terrible polishing! He literally ran the base coat across my toes in one shot!! No callous removal, said i should try a cheap razor to remove myself, yea thanks!! So it al started when I saw my coworker's nails and told me she saw Tracy. Even though at the time I had my own nail tech I was in love with the style I saw on her nails. Since my nail tech was no longer available to see me much I decided to give them a chance and I'm SO GLAD I did! First off I never really have a decent experience with my old nails getting taken off and she was so GENTLE AND QUICK! Then she used this special poly gel in place of the acrylic that makes the nails look more natural yet appealing to the eye. The staff around her were very friendly and one even complimented me on my final results. But what topped it off was the PRICE! Considering the services of getting my nails taken off plus long nails with rhinestones on all of them (2 fully covered with them) and matte nails to be charged $100 in a professional salon is remarkable. I'm not sure if the staffing changed since before my visit but I give Tracy 10 stars across the board and they have gained a loyal customer! read more

Went here on a Saturday when all other salons were super busy. I was surprised how small and cramped everything was. They took me right away. As I sat I noticed: My pedicure chair was broken, the leather was peeling off all the chairs, the instruments were dirty and not sterile, the doors were broken, the floors were filthy, the desks were dusty, etc. Also, my mani & pedi color didn't match. Don't go to this place unless you want your nails done poorly ! The nail tech Kevin is VERY rude ! Messes up your bails and then blames it on you. I went to get my nails done and I had to go out my way the next day to get fixed and all I got was attitude. Then the next day my nail breaks. My nail should not break after 2 days. I had been going to this nail salon now for several months. The staff is great but the owner "Kevin" really needs to work on his people skills. He can do good work on a good day but is arrogant and very abrasive towards his clients. I would schedule appointments with him and he would blantly disregard me and my appointment, to accomodate his walk in's. They also need to work on the sterlization of their instruments. I regularly was having issues with fugus building on my nail between the wrap and that was a 1st for me. I have been getting my nails done for years and that has NEVER happened before. read more
