Charming Pub located in the heart of Sumter on Main Street just a short walk away from the Hyatt Place where we were staying while in town. My party of 3 arrived around 5pm and decided to sit at the bar. The ambiance was casual and comfortable, very clean. Our bartender was amicable and attentive. We started off with drinks my husband and I decided on margaritas, they only offer classic no flavors but there were a few tequilas to choose from. Our cousin drinks red wine and they only offered a Cabernet so she went with that. The drinks were ok. I would not come here solely to drink since I'm into handcrafted drinks. Like most pubs they focus on beer, their selection in beers was fantastic. My husband ordered a burger and fries. The burger was huge and he said it was delicious and the fries were ok. Our cousin and I both ordered the Buffalo Shrimp Tacos. For my side I had the beer battered onion rings which came with a jalapeño ranch sauce, they were crispy and really tasty. My cousin had the coleslaw which she mentioned was average. The tacos were exactly as described but wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting, they were not bad but I wouldn't order them again. We had a great experience, customer service was stellar and if ever in town again I would come back.

After a long day at the Carolina Cup, we stopped by at J. O'Gradys for some delicious burgers and fries. We ordered the Sammy Burger, Christian's Mainstreet Melt, Nachos, Bucko's Pacific Islander Tacos, and Edmond's Classic. After sampling all the options, everything was cooked to medium which brought out all the flavor and juices. Pineapples were sweet with some sort of glaze that was tangy. Fries had a season on them that was the right balance when dipped in the garlic aioli The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great. It was the perfect way to end the day. The service was also excellent, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal!

Seated at the bar for lunch!

We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. Personable, knowledgeable about the menu & the surrounding area. The menu is a great selection of burgers and tacos. Top tier for making mostly all of their sauces & dressing in house. My husband is still talking about the jalapeño ranch! There is a karaoke bar next door that opens weekends at 9pm and you get in free with your receipt, we didn't make it but it sounds like a good night out! We'll definitely be back when in town.

Sports bar with some of the best burgers ever! Sports memorabilia from all sports and teams decorate the walls. You could come here a dozen times and probably still not see it all! We stopped in on our way home from vacation a little after 2 in the afternoon, only to find out they close at 2:30. The waitress was fantastic and let us know we could take our time eating, we just needed to order before 2:30. We did not feel rushed to eat and get out and thoroughly enjoyed the burgers. They say fork and knife burgers, and it's not an exaggeration. They are big and messy, everything you want in a great burger You can get a beef burger or chicken and have the option to get their salt and pepper bun or Texas toast. Sides are not included, but we got an order of fries to split, and it was 2.99. Prices are reasonable and plenty of seating. We will definitely be stopping back in here anytime we are anywhere near Sumter, SC!

The wings are absolutely phenomenal. They're perfectly cooked with a great variety of flavors to choose from. The pizza is outstanding with that delicious thin crust that hits the spot every time. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but those wings and pizzas are must-tries! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a great local vibe. It's the perfect place to unwind after a long day, catch up with friends, or enjoy some quality bar food and cold craft beer. They offer an impressive beer selection, featuring over 75 different domestic and craft options. One of the things I really appreciate is that it's a smoke-free bar, which makes for a much more comfortable environment. The prices are very fair, and the service is always professional and attentive. Whether you're a local or just passing through Sumter, Main Street Tavern is definitely worth a visit. I am sure it is clean, but they have gross old couches in the front area and it always smells a little bit like a restroom. Good place to grab a drink or two after dinner.

However, I decided to give Craft and Draft another shot, and I'm definitely glad that I did. Unbeknownst to me, they were holding "trivia night" on the night that I went, which drew a pretty large and lively crowd. While I think that the inside volume was turned up a little too high, it did serve to loosen everybody up, as I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the other patrons, who were all very kind and sociable. I also got to check out the back patio for the first time, which was fun, but not quite as notable as some of the other taproom patios that I've been to. In addition, despite the fact that they had heaters on the patio, they didn't seem to be emanating much heat, as it remained pretty cold outside. What I did like was the fact that there was a pizza truck outside, which was making wood-fired pizzas on the spot, and which looked great! (I didn't have one myself, but everybody I asked told me that they tasted great as well.) As for the beers... they were pretty solid! On draft, I got one of the Burial IPAs, which was 8% ACV, and tasted pretty good as well! My friend said that the beer that they got out of the refrigerator was good as well, and that they had a lot of beers that they had never seen or heard of before. As for me, I noticed that they had one canned beer that was 9.5% ACV, which I had never seen before either! The two (2) bartenders working that night were really cool, knew their beers, and definitely made me and my friend feel welcomed. All-in-all, Craft and Draft was a pretty fun taproom, which *might* be a little better in the warmer months versus the cooler ones. Despite this, I'd still recommend stopping by to grab some unique brews, and enjoy the lively but not overly hectic atmosphere.

I've been here multiple times and did not like it. This trip was no different. We had a large group of 16 and it started there. Was told a 2hr wait. If we split in to groups of 8 we'd be seated in 45. Took this option. Actually got seated in about 25 minutes seperately. (A table of 8 that was right next to us was vacant and NEVER got used for the entire 90 minutes or so that we stayed at the restaurant so why not accommodate our group? - strike one) Our waitress I'm told was very chippy with an attitude toward some party members. (I didnt get any attitude toward me) but heard a few people stating how she was answering people's requests and how unpleasant she was. - Strike two. The food. I ordered the meatloaf nachos (which were good). I also ordered the fried pork chops w/ side salad. Loading up on fake bacon bits (like 1000 pieces) doesnt make the salad better. This is a hint to their kitchen. The pork chops were dry and the "red skinned" mash potatoes" (which I do not remember the menu stating that they were red skinned potatoes which would mean SKIN would be present in the mash. Otherwise I would not have ordered this. ALSO, their baked beans.......this was the worst part of the meal. I am expecting some version of beans with a bbq base or similar...instead I got some sort of bean SOUP which was totally inedible in my opinion. Whole meal was trash. Strike three. My 83 year old father said at the end of the meal "worst meal I've ever had". Which I had him repeat to the table just in case anyone thought it was just me. $700 with tip for the quality is a bit much. I will never ever return no matter what my siblings say.

Eat here! Folks,…read morethis is a decent family place with delicious and unique offerings from both Germany and Italy. Regrettably, I've only been twice and both times, my entire party went for the German so we'll limit the scope of our review to that. It should be noted, however, that some New Englanders I know were very happy with their pizza from here. Ok, onto the review: 1) Food: it's all great. They start you off with some garlic bread which is obviously homemade dough. It's great. We ordered the Curry Brats starter which is a quality german style sausage that has been nicely browned. It's served with a unique curry mustard which balances the dish perfectly with some acidity and spice. As for mains, I tried pieces of the Sauerbraten, the Jaeger Schnitzel, and I ordered the Rahm Schnitzel for myself. It was all delicious and my party (normally lighter eaters) cleaned their plates. The only questionable trend with the mains is that most things come out very lightly salted. To me, that's actually a good thing so you can salt to your liking or enjoy the dishes without feeling all salted up. For sides, I've had the Spätzle (a german style pasta browned in butter) and the rotkohl (red cabbage). Both are exactly what I hope for at a German restaurant. Delicious. The side salads were fresh. 2) Service: everyone is nice and expedient. I doubt they'll hesitate to fill any request you make. The owner even wandered out to the patio to see what we thought. You can tell they really care about their customers. 3) Ambiance: the joint really reminds me of a small neighborhood restaurant you would see in a town in Southern Germany. It's decent ambiance. The only thing that could be a bit better here is price but this is not a good economy we're in here. You'll probably pay around $15 a head but you will leave full and possibly even with leftovers (assuming you eat like a normal person not a pro bodybuilder). Okay, that's my review. Our group has 13 and fortunately we had 11 today, which probably was about the most they could've managed at that table. Waiter was great. Took our drink orders and burger orders. Burgers were very good, everyone happy with the exception of one burger getting dropped on the floor, resulting in that person waiting for about 10 minutes to get a replacement. Meanwhile he chomped on some of his fries. Overall food was great. Only issue is with the loud music. Music is good music, just way to loud. Everytime we go here nobody can here each other talk across the table. (We always sit at the big corner table on the right as you walk in). Fries were okay....nothing special. Burgers are the thing.
