Lamb Chops and Mash Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Sunday dinner wasn't cooked so we stepped out.. The Epicurean Table was the choice ... we can start with the good friendly customer service. We were greeted immediately ... the spot is well lit and the jazz music is very soothing .. The wall art of the cites is dope decor Lamar was our sever and suggested a better seat that was much appreciated ... For the appetizer I ordered the fried broccoli ... for my entree if you read my reviews I went with the Lamb Chops medium well with the mash potatoes. The fried broccoli was very good and the creole sauce made the taste even better ... the lamb chop were Cooked perfectly medium well to my liking. They could have had more of seasoning prior to the balsamic that's added to the dish . Mash potatoes were also good just needed a dab of salt ... BUT what really hit home is the Expo brought I our food out I don't know if that normal or not but I knew that my food was delivered soon as it was ready... def check this spot out S/O to Lamar our waiter ... very honest about the menu .... We will def be back ... side note precede with caution with the Mac and cheese .. my ordered it and I tasted it ... I'll pass ...

Strains of smooth Jazz playing. The wait staff were very good. Ordered the Lasagna. It was excellent. Reminded me of Jesuti's on Ft. Jackson Blvd that sadly closed up decades ago. This is the first Non Chain, Non Fast food, Non BBQ place to open on Garner's Ferry road and one I'll happily go back to. It's largely American cuisine with Southern additions. Can't wait to try the other items on their menu. I think the wait staff are still trying to find their legs but the one I had was kind.

This place is amazing! For exceptional service ask for Leasia. She always take good care of us. Decided to try the "special" and it was really good.. Everyone is so personable which makes it feel like family. Check

Bo our servere was amazing and the food was top notch. Couldn't get a picture of salmon bites. They were gone too quick. LoL Love the ambiance and very relaxing.

First time experience it was very pleasant. No wait time before being seated. The ambiance upon entering was very appealing. Server, Lamar was very nice, friendly and accommodating. He was very honest when it came to selections, ask for him as your server.

I woild definitely eat there again. Our waitress Shay was the best. And the food...!!! The seafood lasagna was so good, I almost bit ky finger. It was hot and seasoned perfectly. Loaded with seafood. The steak was so tender. The epicurean salad was excellent. We add some steak to it and opted to get 1/2 a salad. The fried broccoli was good...broccoli was tender. Loved the decor. The entire staff was excellent. Ready to go back.

We entered a buzzing yet not busy dining area and were met with a wait ranging from 15 minutes to an hour. While waiting for our table, we both ordered a drink, both of which were strong but lacking in the flavors they boasted on the menu. We were seated about 30 minutes later. After another 20 minutes or so, we had received no further service. It was like a server hadn't been assigned to our table. As tempting as the food sounded, we ultimately had to leave because the service was so poor. 929 Kitchen was just down the road and saved the day by having a table available immediately. Won't be returning here or giving further business to Bourbon or Black Rooster in the future.

The place is very well air conditioned, and the space is very intentional. Visiting from out of state the waitress seemed a bit shy/new but curious about Wisconsin she warmed up a little bit. It's really cool that you can see the chefs in their element behind a glass wall while you wait. The silverware, or should I say Goldwear was beautiful. I started out with the All American Spritz- it was good but nothing extraordinary. However when I tried the pistachio martini, I was in disbelief! I was skeptical to order it as I've never even heard of one before and was unsure how pistachio would translate into a martini. It was creamy and somehow savory and sweet at the same time, the alcohol taste was nonexistent. And the rim was coated in pistachio crumbs. Both the drinks presentation was beautiful. I personally ordered the bbq chicken sandwhich, with mac and cheese instead of fries for the side. The sandwich was smoky, I could not stop eating it! If anyone was wondering what so special about the mac and cheese, it's the name of the noodles. And yes, the waitress will sound it out with you lol! The Mac and cheese wasn't creamy, and I found it a bit bland unfortunately. There was no order the same in the group I came with. The truffle fries were on the thinner crispier side, neat that there were different color of potatoes used. The duck wings came out like their very own presentation. I tried the alligator bites, that were served with 2 sauces, I thought there were kind of chewy , and weird enough I guess I have a preference with how my alligator is served since having tried some at the Wisco State fair. I love that the menu feels curated, you know what you're there for and it's not overwhelming to pick from the options of something new. The bathroom was very cute too! And the bar area was lit up, a cool atmosphere.

That created a slightly rushed feeling right from the start of the experience. When the food arrived, it was not served hot. The fries were seasoned but came out cold, so we had to send them back. The service also felt a bit disengaged, as though the server was ready to wrap things up, even though there was still about 30 to 45 minutes before closing time. That said, once the food was remade and served hot, it was really good. My salad, however, was not the same experience, as the lettuce had brown spots throughout, which took away from the overall quality. You can tell the kitchen has potential when the food is prepared properly, but consistency is the issue. The ambience is very cool and visually appealing. It is a bit dark for my personal preference in the evening, but I can imagine it being bright and beautiful during the daytime. The cocktail I ordered was just okay and didn't really stand out. Overall, there is definitely potential here, but improvements in consistency, service attentiveness, and food quality control would really elevate the experience.

When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!
