I've bought almost all the tile for my bathrooms and fireplaces here…read more The second time we ordered at 6pm for store pick up on a Saturday but decided to go in and pick it up instead. DONT DO THAT. They make a BIG fuss. Just order for pick up and wait for your ready message or go in store to pick it up yourself and buy at the register. Anyway, apart from the lady in the black apron making a fuss, this experience was top tier. We knew exactly what we wanted and knew the store was closing soon so my husband got the flat bed cart thing and carried our one year old straight to the back corner with my son following behind him. They left me in the dust because I am heavily pregnant and was waddling. Every store employee we passed told me "we're closing soon" so when I saw my husband up ahead walk past a worker and the worker look back at him, turn course, and begin to follow my husband I thought "we better hurry up" this guy is going to tell us they're closing soon but nope! He was soo nice! Asked us if we had questions, helped my husband load our flat bed cart because we were getting twelve boxes of 12x36 tile, got a forklift to pull out the boxes in the back and walked us to where the grout that was in display is located. I believe his name is Luis! Thank you Luis for a wonderful experience. We're sincerely sorry if we got you in trouble. You didn't know we ordered ahead until we got to the register. If anything this man deserves a promotion! Top tier customer service! Also, we hurried to this location to get the tile we wanted because it was $30 cheaper per box than the location by our home! Thats why we always make the trip to this location.

KZ was one of the reasons my recent remodel finished in four weeks…read more I started at KZ early in the process after visiting a few other stores and feeling both underwhelmed by their selections and overwhelmed by figuring out what I actually needed. On that first visit I met Bailey, who ended up becoming a key part of the project. I came in with measurements from my contractor, rough layout ideas, and a general sense of what I wanted: drawers instead of mostly base cabinets, quartz countertops, and a way to turn a small, dysfunctional kitchen into something thoughtfully designed with proper prep space. Bailey took those requests and my contractor's initial mockups and developed a layout. I was immediately impressed by his thoughtfulness and attention to detail. He also included things I would not have known to ask for, including a blind corner pull out "peanut" cabinet that turned dead space into some of the most usable storage in the kitchen. He explained his decisions when asked and found solutions as needed, for example suggesting a microwave cabinet when I mentioned not knowing where to put that. I left excited about the project and hopeful it could actually come together. He was consistently responsive to my many questions afterward. He sent estimates for different options so I could compare costs, such as a 4-inch versus full-height backsplash, and shared renderings of the cabinet and countertop combination. Seeing the space rendered that early was a significant moment for me. His involvement continued well beyond placing the order. As the project progressed, Bailey made sure everything was delivered properly, communicated directly with my contractor, answered questions as they came up, kept suggesting ways to improve the project, and made sure everything was set up correctly for countertop templating. The fabricator, Rafael, was also excellent and did a beautiful job. He and Bailey suggested adding another slab of quartz so we could do a full waterfall on the exposed ends of the counter. I took their advice and I am very glad I did. It made a huge difference and made that part of the design feel complete. I was also happy with KZ's pricing and selection. I visited four cabinet and countertop stores, and KZ had the best overall selection I found. Their prices were extremely competitive without sacrificing features or quality. The cabinets have plywood boxes, soft-close doors and drawers, and full-extension drawers, and they arrived fully assembled rather than flat-packed. My contractor had specifically told me not to buy RTA cabinets and these were straightforward for him to install. All of my other interactions with KZ were positive too. Delivery drivers called ahead, other employees in the store were helpful, and the factory expedited part of my order for an additional charge when my fast schedule required it. One thing worth mentioning for anyone considering KZ is the type of experience they provide. This is not a full-service design firm where someone makes every selection and manages every detail for you. I had to be a little assertive on my first visit because there were a limited number of design/sales reps available, but once I connected with Bailey the experience was excellent. You will get the most out of KZ if you come in with measurements and some idea of what you want, are willing to look around and give input, and are okay following up with questions. When I did reach out, Bailey was very responsive. Some practical things to know: they do not offer financing, some costs such as fabrication are settled separately and in cash, and delivery is extra if you cannot pick up the order yourself. Mine was around $500 for 18 cabinets plus panels and hardware, delivered about an hour away. I think some of the savings come from this model, but it helps to have the right expectations. My entire remodel took about four weeks, including a full primary bathroom and extensive changes throughout the house, with the KZ order placed roughly one week before construction began. A lot of the credit goes to my excellent contractor, but KZ's responsiveness, timely deliveries, and efficient work were a major factor in keeping things moving. It was night and day compared with buying my other materials through large home improvement stores. When I had questions or concerns, it usually took a simple text to Bailey to resolve them. I am super happy with the finished kitchen and with my experience at KZ. I recommend them to anyone looking for cabinets or countertops, and I am especially grateful to Bailey and Rafael for how much care they put into my project.

We walked into their showroom in South San Francisco not knowing what to expect, and were greeted by a friendly gentleman named Bailey. Little did we know, that moment would mark the start of both a great project and a lasting connection. Bailey is professional, knowledgeable, sincere, and incredibly patient--everything you'd hope for in a salesperson. I originally was just looking for flooring at KZ but Bailey made us feel so comfortable we ended up getting pretty much everything here. One stop shop to save time and energy . He offered thoughtful advice every step of the way and was always there when we needed help. Even on his day off, he went out of his way to make sure everything was prepared for us. That level of dedication is truly top-notch. Their pricing is competitive, but for me, outstanding service makes all the difference--and Bailey delivered exactly that. If you're planning any remodeling, I highly recommend giving KZ Cabinet and Stone a try. Be sure to ask for Bailey--you won't regret it. The only negative feedback I have is the warehouse pick up staff may not be the most friendly but the job gets done.

After viewing most of the products, we decided to leave. As we were heading out, another couple walked in and were immediately greeted with a friendly and enthusiastic "Hello, welcome in!" While we weren't necessarily shocked, the contrast in treatment felt like a microaggression and was extremely off-putting. My husband and I have lived in Burlingame since 1996 and have been fortunate to rarely encounter such blatant racial profiling in our community. This experience was disappointing and left us feeling unwelcome in a place we were excited to support.

So many nice setups, I kinda got distracted checking out all the fancy stuff A girl working there asked if I needed help (but not in a pushy way), and she explained a couple of things I never even thought about, like water pressure and finishes. I ended up picking something better than planned and I'm pretty happy with it. Prices are not the cheapest, but the quality feels totally worth it. And it's nice to see things in person instead of scrolling online forever. I'll probably come back when I finally redo my bathroom.
