Majid and his multiple crews are super nice and competent! I've recently had them remodel my bathroom and have also helped multiple friends who worked with them for their home remodels. They're very open to coming up with creative solutions when the standard home has awkward issues that cause restrictions. Often their salesperson talks you out of doing things that could be costly which can save you money but if you really want something be firm and they will do their best to accommodate even if it means ordering outside of their regular catalogs or preferred vendors. They're really helpful for all the planning and once they come in to work on your project, the demo is SO FAST and they clean it all up so fast! They work on a tight schedule so things happen fast. Often the project is done before their projected time. Such a relief! It helps to be nearby so you can answer unanticipated questions that inevitably come up with all construction projects. I would have them do any and all further projects at my home and use a lot of trust in their whole team. Their tile work is also super good!!!!

I knew one day we would have to renovate our kitchen but having heard so many horror stories about contractors I was not looking forward to that day. After our 1980s oven died and our equally old stove died we used a portable induction plate for a year. We decided it's probably time to get the kitchen renovated. I looked at alot of reviews and I chose Xpress cause they were local and their reviews were really good. Some people were critical but overall all good. I think the fact they only do complete renovations of kitchens and baths is one of the reasons why they're so good at hitting timelines. They know exactly how much time a project takes and that's taking into account problems. Xpress hit their deadlines with our renovation and never did I feel they were wasting time or not working. Everyday was a busy priority based workday. Steve was the salesman and preparation lead and he is excellent at that job. We put him through the ringer with our ideas about what we wanted, what we didn't want, can we compare multitude of blacksplashes and can we see this color next to this color. Every request was granted. We went with him in person to the place in the East Bay to choose actual countertops and that was extremely comforting to see and feel exactly what we were getting. Demolition day was chaotic but that's because your kitchen is literally getting torn apart. But it was done. In one day. I was shocked. From electric work to cabinetry to alignment of backsplashes and wood finishes, everything was perfect. There were a variety of different workers coming through our home but they were all assigned specific tasks and they came in a very scheduled flow. All of the workers were nice, hardworking, and respectful of our home and comfort level. Workers typically came at 7:30am, 8am. After our kitchen renovation was done we lived in it for 3 weeks and tracked things that were problematic. It was a very short list. We emailed that list to Xpress on a Wed, they came on a Friday to fix everything. Now everything is perfect. If you are needing a complete kitchen renovation, choose Xpress. The only issue you're going to run into is scheduling. They are busy. We signed the contract with them in February. The earliest they could schedule us was December. They are that popular and now that we've had them work on our home we totally understand why. They are qualified, they are knowledgable, they are pro-active on all issues, and they try to make the process as painless as possible. The cost was competitive with other contractors in the area. Not super cheap and not super expensive. The project manager Kevin was great. Always reachable by email and phone. The owner Majid came around alot to make sure things were running smoothly.

"The Customer's Perception is your Company's reality" Xpress Kitchen and Bath impressed my husband and me more that 2 years back when we decided to get a quote from them for remodeling my son's bathroom (I don't have any before pictures but trust me when I say it was two little rooms and one of the crummiest spaces in the house)...maybe that's why I don't have before pictures. Long story short we went ahead and had Xpress do the work for us and they were brilliant - from sticking to their budget, finishing ahead of time to making sure they kept us informed through the process. This was the first time we were doing any kind of renovation on our house. And our experience was wonderful and the bathroom was gorgeous. Now I know you will ask me - Hey! Meenakshi why are you posting a review almost 2 years late...well truth be told "Life happened and then I forgot to review them in 2020"...why am I sitting here doing a review right now "on moving day"....here's why : there were a few tiles in this gorgeous bathroom that had come loose and when my husband told me about it I sent an email to Steve and the team....(this was Wednesday) - Steve and Kevin asked for pictures on Thursday and scheduled someone to come Friday and get the loose tiles fixed. This is extremely special - you don't see this kind of customer service often !!! BTW, they were the first place I went to when I was thinking of remodeling the rest of my bathrooms and kitchen but unfortunately they were all booked out at that point through November ...my loss. You thinking of remodeling your kitchen or bathrooms look no further -- make sure you give Steve a call first !!! You can thank me later ;-)

We used Xpress to turn a bedroom into a bathroom/walk in closet. We are extremely satisfied with our results and they completed the project 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Steve initially helped us with the design and he was very friendly and provided us with good advice. Once the project began, we worked with Majid and Kevin who kept the project organized and on track. All of the workers on the project were very hardworking, always on time and friendly. I can't recommend this company enough! I've included before and after pictures to show just how beautifully they transformed the space.

We just completed a bathroom remodel and are very happy with the results. Our entire experience from start to finish was seamless and easy. The materials were in stock, the contract was fair and the 4 week timeline was executed to schedule. Steve was fantastic with the design and contract, Kevin and Majid were attentive during construction and the entire crew showed up daily, on time, on schedule and worked hard. Everyone was friendly and executed our project very well. We are pleased with the craftmanship and the attention to detail. Thank you Xpress!

Steve, Majid, Kevin and team did such an amazing job with our first bathroom remodel that we used them for our next set of projects. Very similar experience as our first time around. The timelines were spot on. No hidden costs. The team is very efficient, careful and focused on delivering high quality work. Once again they knocked it out of the park. Vicente did the tile work for this project as well. He takes a great deal of pride in his work, consulted with us to make sure the layout made sense and did another fantastic job. The bathroom looks amazing! We also had our fireplace tiled to update the look and the team did a fantastic job here as well. I would recommend Xpress Kitchen & Bath to family and friends w/o hesitation.

Omar, Majid and team did an amazing job in recreating our kitchen area and remodeling our house with new flooring and paint. The house feels completely new and I love living in it now, especially during WFH. Thank you!

Started with Steve, excellent introduction and quotation process. Also a fellow golf addict ! Omar, quick responses to all office concerns. Luis and Alex, the dynamic duo. Such quality work and best of all, my dog likes them. Thanks for all the Latin music ! Finally, the leader of the pack...Mr. Majid, your a true professional that listens to the customer, maybe the most important aspect in the entire renovation process. Keep up the good work gentlemen !

Vendors: Artistic Kitchen (Mike Ryan), HomeWise (Janelle), Bedrosians (Jenny), Rubenstein Supply Wise team: The 3 A's: Aaron, Alex and Allen. Israel was our day to day supervisor. Estimated Time: 3.5-4.5 months. Wise met this timeline. Positives: Demo: Quick and efficient. They had the place cleared out in 2 days. Prior to demo, their team helped us move our large pieces of furniture into our storage pod. I consider this above and beyond helpful. Flexible: As they started the prep for electrical and plumbing, we made changes and add-on's. For any unforeseen issues, they were responsive. Media niche: The team built out the area exactly to my husband's design. The owner dropped by to view the project and gave us an idea on how to build out the space for our TV mount. We are happy with the result. Fire place: The stone ledger was installed by Oliver per the design. The final product is gorgeous. Kudos to Oliver! Bathroom: Although small, the demo process was challenging as we have a concrete subfloor. It felt like they were grinding for days to prep for the shower. Once we selected our tile, their installer (Jesus) helped us with the layout and it came out beautifully. Kitchen: The prep work for the cabinet install, plumbing and electrical was completed in a timely manner. Wise's cabinet installer, David guided the team through the install process. David is meticulous and skillful at his craft. Allen: This was my first large remodel project and I wanted to have a designer to help guide me through the process. Allen came out to meet us and learn about our style choices and helped us with the challenging process of picking a lot of materials. He kept a spreadsheet which we could update ourselves. I had inspiration photos and he collaborated with us to bring it all together. Allen's design drawings gave us true picture of the final product. So much so that we ended up changing our bathroom tile because we didn't like how it looked in the drawings. Allen was patient, helpful, responsive and has a keen eye for design. Areas for Improvement: Communication, Attention to detail, Slowing down. These things came up throughout the project and mostly corrected to our satisfaction. I will list a couple of examples: Flooring installation: We were considering having our floor vendor do the installation but the savings in our Wise bid was not that much and Aaron assured us that his team was experienced with installing engineered hardwood. We asked the team to pick the planks with the least blemishes and lay them in the open areas while the others could be installed under the cabinets or closets. I don't know if there was a language barrier during communication but my husband ended closely watching the team and picking out the planks himself. This took a fair amount of his time and shouldn't have. We also noticed in the front entryway that some of the planks squeaked and flexed. We could not accept this because it was in a high traffic area. The solution they came up with was to drill small holes and inject enough glue so that the planks would not flex. We were nervous about this but figured it would be better than tearing up a portion of the floor and reinstall them. Thankfully, it worked and there is only a tiny hole which is not noticeable. The ovens needed to be wired for 240V but was wired to 120V. This was clear in the oven's instruction manual. It was corrected. We purchased very expensive outlets for our kitchen island and requested that they be installed flush to the panels. My husband even sent a PDF with instructions in WhatsApp to be communicated to the team. Either it never made it to the team, or they didn't follow instructions. We couldn't redo them because the damage to the panels was not acceptable to us. A couple of cabinet doors had the wrong size hole drilled for the handles. I did map out each door with specific handle size. They corrected this at no cost to us. I created a final TODO/correction list after final inspection and they completed everything to our satisfaction. Overall I am excited with the final results, especially with my kitchen. The Wise team were cooperative, courteous and professional. See my before/after pics.

The Great (+2 stars) ==========…read more * The structural work: Our home is on a great, new, solid foundation (with shear walls), so we feel as safe as we can be in our home for an earthquake! * Our basement is also now more usable. * Drainage: There is now drainage around the foundation and under the basement slab, so we are no longer worried about our basement flooding! * The working crew were very friendly and considerate. The Bad (-1 star): ========== * The electrical subcontractor was quite bad. The electricians didn't install the dryer outlet properly (one conductor came loose before I first used it), most outlets they installed are loose (they give when pushing in a plug), and they installed a used, old (not LED compatible) dimmer for the LED lights they installed. Also, the owner yelled at his team a lot. * The plumbing subcontractor was bad, too. They misdrilled several holes, damaging the interior of the home. They didn't seal around exterior penetrations into the house. They didn't put a cover over the branch of a wye that was no longer needed. They wouldn't do anything about the loss of hot water pressure in a bathroom faucet that occurred after they moved some plumbing around (I ended up having to disconnect and disassemble the hot water valve myself and I found a piece of silicone clogged in there). They over-glued the drain of the laundry supply box making it nearly impossible to remove the cap, and they lost the o-rings on my faucet aerator. The Ugly (-2 stars): ========== * They overlooked details in the plans about where walls and doors should go, and denied responsibility since they weren't in the structural engineer's plans, which they opted to not have updated with the revisions I told them about. This lead to a sewer pipe being installed in an inconvenient location (it went through the foundation, so it can't be moved), a structural wall that was almost built in the wrong place (I caught it while they were digging the footing), and a room that was built with no doorway (they had to cut some framing to make the opening). * The pricing/scope was negligent at best, but I'd put it closer to misleading or deceptive. During the initial visits, they talked about all the things they would do (including putting up framing, drywall, and insulation), and then sent over an estimate that I accepted. I didn't realize until halfway through the project that the estimate didn't include many of the things they talked about (including the framing, drywall, and insulation); those apparently would be part of "Phase 2," not included in the price of the first estimate. I had chosen E&F over another estimate that was less expensive even though it did explicitly contain the "additional" scope. I was also surprised that the electrical and plumbing (most of which was necessary to get them out of the way for the structural work) was billed separately; i.e., an unexpected additional expense. * They chose to rebuild a segment of stairs (rather than just adding two steps at the bottom, per the plans), which ended up having insufficient clearance with an overhang halfway down. They tried to convince me there was no new problem because they built them the same as before (but the run of the new stairs was one inch longer, causing the 4th step down to be 4 inches closer to the overhang) and resisted remedying the issue. They just ended up taking a sawzall to trim the overhang -- a joist -- which I just have to hope doesn't compromise any structural integrity! Further, they didn't even finish the stairs (sand and seal); "Test your staining skills," they said. * They ghosted before Phase 2. As the structural work was reaching completion, we were going back and forth on scope for Phase 2. However, when the structural work was actually completed, they just stopped communicating, left dirt and demo debris they left on our driveway for a month, then disappeared. There were lots of things they removed to get out of the way (like several segments of fence) but didn't put back. I could easily add 3x more issues and details, but this review is already too long.

Every single person who has walked in says, "WOW! It's beautiful! It's incredible what you guys have done!" We have friends & professionals who have built/renovated many houses all exclaim what a high-end luxe job this was! We could not have done this without Greenberg. In particular, we worked with the wonderful Ohad Sherion throughout the process who managed all the subs, city departments involved, neighbors, vendors, etc. Our attention was elsewhere as we were very busy with our work, caring for our elders, so it was invaluable that Ohad kept us up-to-date throughout the process. Ohad was able to make our wishes come true, including bathrooms with custom tiles that were no longer available--so he found us an artisan who recreated them by hand. To make the small space look and feel spacious, we went with an open concept which left few walls to hang art. From the beginning, we worked with Ohad to create a design to showcase our art collection. Ohad is persistent and works to get projects not only functional but beautiful. For example, we have a unique front door which needed to be tweaked and he patiently worked with subs to make it happen. My husband was thrilled that we ended up with a house with superb insulation (including sound), up-to-date plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems. He feels great about the new roof and solar panels. But I am in love with the amazing personal details that make this place a home (finally). We are so grateful to Ohad. He'd worked with one of our friends previously, and so we knew he'd do a great job for our project. We also loved Greenberg's integrated approach. The architect, constructions, design and management was all done by Greenberg. This meant that the project from top to bottom was aligned with the team actually doing the construction work. My top priorities were 1) a modern home design 2) a job done with high quality 3) low stress. Ohad / Greenberg helped deliver on all of these aspects in spades. The last thing I wanted to do was have to coordinate with flaky contractors, have to re-do low quality work after a long day at work. Ohad kept the project on track and handled all the hassle of dealing with subcontractors & inspectors. Greenberg probably won't be the cheapest contractor you'll talk to, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. Quality work, up to code, and no drama is well worth the cost. Ohad worked with us throughout the project to consider different budget options, and gave candid advice about where he thought the budget would be best spent. Overall, highly recommend. I was referred by a friend and have put multiple friends in touch with Greenberg for their projects as well. Everyone is floored by house nice our remodel turned out and will 100% be in touch in the future for any future projects we have.
