This is how Jancewicz operates: You call, they arrive and send up a drone for in depth photos of roof. Impressive. They come in for discussion of job. You choose slate and ridgecap colors. They come again in a week with contract which is always exceedingly high. Ours was $14,000 to replace a handful of tiles and two ridge caps. Yes, I've asked other customers and roofers about them--always high priced. Also they left the chimney repair out of the contract. The drone showed damage, it was discussed, but not included. I asked about that and the rep shrugged. Red flag! They brag repeatedly about this "great 80 year old company... " to impress you. So they are great, reliable etc. Right? Don't fall for it, they are no better than anyone else. But, out of desperation to get the roof fixed before winter you sign the contract. They come out with old, raggedy used slate. Not new slate which can be expensive and would help to explain the high cost of job. Explanation was that they couldn't match the old slate. This wasn't brought up by rep. Also brought ridge caps that are not your color. Sent them back for correct ones. Towards the end of job, Jancewicz demanded an additional $3000 for the chimney repair work on top of hefty $14,000 slate roof repair. "No way, should have been in contract," was my response. "We'll take care of it!" We hired a local company to repoint and replace flashing at roofline for $800. Great job. No more leaking into ceilings. Saved $2300. Yes, I'm wiser now. The job took 10 days, not the 3 days they stated. It wasn't rain that kept them away as they were no shows on some beautiful clear days. Go local, get referrals from people you know. These guys are no better. They advertise, that's all.

(THIS INFORMATION HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY PROVIDED) 7:00 PM Good evening. I need the info and the review taken care of so I can send this along this evening and get you taken care of please." I took the review down to get my report, and after I updated the owner, they said I'd have the report in an hour or so. Didn't receive the report for another six hours though they claimed they sent it hours earlier. Maybe this business has been great before, and will be great again, but because I specifically chose this company based on their reviews, I had to provide an account of my experience.

They rescheduled multiple times due to weather concerns, which I appreciated, but when they finally got on the roof they realized it would require more materials than previously thought. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they increased the price by almost $300!!! I was also underwhelmed by there cleanup of our property and they destroyed a portion of our garden in the construction process. If this wasn't enough, one of the owners showed up the next day, which was a Saturday demanding the final payment. I was blown away. The long and the short of this is that I will never contract BLM Roofing again and will advise others to steer clear of this company. Oh, and they always showed up late.

It had been several years (5 I believe) since I had used them and thought to give them another try. Met with Phillip to go over some work we were hoping to have completed, he told me they were interested in the job and he would get back to me with a quote. It has been two months since I've heard from them and they have completely avoided my calls and not returned a single one or responded in any way to multiple voicemails. I completely understand being busy and or not being able to fit a job into your schedule, however relaying that info on to your customers so they aren't wasting time should be a priority to any company with halfway decent customer service. 10/10 would not recommend.
