The work was done in a timely fashion-with frequent requests for payment-Cash only- at every step. The house looks great-on the outside! I was informed after the work was already underway that they wouldn't be doing the inside of windows. They also used windows not Energy Star rated for MA. So the interior of my house is a mess with unfinished windows- multiple plaster walls crumbling! They also replaced only two of the three outside lamps that were agreed upon-placed the storm doors back incorrectly and put molding over a couple of doors that was never requested. There was never a final walk through- and there were three screens placed which already had holes in them. My ignorance is the reason for most of these issues-I assumed the windows would have correct energy rating-I never knew that windows could be unfinished when you pay for replacement windows. I also got the impression that the final walk through by the Contractor would also finalize some of the "slush fund" money that was made available for any unexpected expenses. I did mention the defective screens and the missing lamp to site supervisor 'Luis". The owner of company never came out to check on work-Oh-just one more thing-the dumpster that I had to pay for? his guys brought trash from other work sites to fill it up! This all occurred summer 2024-I have been too occupied with medical issues to take any action on this -but really?! I just want others to be more cautious!

I had an emergency roof situation where a huge tornado-like window caused my over 100lb chimney cap to blow off. Unfortunately for me, I live in a rowhouse in Boston where I literally do not have any roof access at all, let alone the reach to adjust and fix a chimney cap that is an extra 30 feet high away from the nearest sky light. I could see the damage but I certainly couldn't reach it. And to be clear, this is not the type of roof that is eagerly serviced by many due to the height, difficult access and complexity. I emailed out to 15 different yelp roofers, of the few that responded with an ability to service (or at least look), only WRC roofing was understanding of the situation and agreed to act as quickly as possible. Even though it happened mid-afternoon and they were far away, they were willing to come asap and arrived within the hour to assess the situation. We discussed and agreed on an action plan. Will really took the time to explain everything and truly look at the issue without being dismissive or patronizing. He is friendly and super approachable and the consummate professional. His and his wife's entire calm and patient demeanor put me at ease that they both knew what they were doing and were empathetic to our panic at the entire situation. Due to insurance reasons, I could only hire him initially for emergency services to quickly patch and prevent more harm/damage while the insurance adjuster was being assigned to my claim and performed their assessment. He went to prepare right away, we got a quote pretty quickly and accepted his help. The weather kept him from actually doing any work that same day (started raining and lightning) so he offered to comeback the next day to fix the issue. He arrived on time with all his equipment. He was respectful of the entire property he was in and working on. He talk through all the safety precautions he would take without any hesitation when I asked him, demonstrating his experience and knowledge of these types of roofs (think steep slope and slippery slate). The patch repairs looked clean and presentable even though it was just meant to be temporary. I thought they charged a fair price/hour for the emergency service as well as for the transport. I never felt bullied, pushed over, or upsold on anything. He gave us copies of his workman's comp and insurance prior to starting. He communicated so well throughout the ENTIRE experience. His team was quick to provide contracts and invoices. He took lots of pictures throughout his work and sent them to me afterwards. He even went above and beyond his responsibilities because while he was up there, helped me get rid of a piece of slate in my gutter I just happened to mention off hand that was bothering me when we assess the roof. He just offered and did it! As for the actual repair, he fixed some areas of broken slate shingles, put a nice new metal cap on top of the (out of use) chimney, and installed a brand new copper gutter for me. The metal cap was secured fully with bolts and it looked extremely neat and tidy. He took plenty of before and after photographs for me so I could see the progress and the changes. This was important to me so that I could follow along. Along that line, his communication was just superb. He was immensely polite and professional. He made sure to notify me when he was on the way and also at the end of the day when he was done. He updated me frequently on progress and next steps and he listened to my concerns and we had a discussion about the roof repair instead of him just doing whatever he wanted. My only critique was that overall, it took him longer than he originally stated. However, he did a fantastic job and everything looked really nicely done. I am extremely happy with the outcome. I wholeheartedly recommend him to others and would be thrilled to see his business grow.

I have the worst experience with this company. They did a hack job putting back together my roof…read moredeck after replacing the roof on my building. They also cut the refrigeration line to my air conditioner unit which I had to pay $2000 to get it fixed. I've been patient and given them plenty of time to address this and they'd come up with one excuse after another. It's been a waste of time and effort dealing with them. My next step is to take them to court. This is insanely annoying! I'm also surprised they showed pics of my roof on here. It's a Mickey Mouse job. The whole deck is crooked and was not done correctly. They obviously did not use any form of measurements when cutting the wood!

Don in sales patiently walked us through our options for shingles, ice water shield, skylights, venting, and gutters. Was very thorough and was not pushy. Cost was in similar reasonable range to some others but with better materials and an all star team. Team came in and completed a 2nd and 3rd story roof with gables, skylights, venting, flashing, gutters, etc in a day. After an unfortunate ice dam that they helped remove, they went above and beyond by redoing the area with new vent, ice water shield, and shingles to ensure they did all they could to prevent reoccurrence. Highly recommend for any roofing needs!

I actually knew of John's company from my time living in Woburn as his house was not too far from my old house. I can't say enough good things about John. Most general contractors/builders try to rush to get the job done so they can move on to their next project. Not John. We were also having them replace a skylight over our addition. The skylight had leaked off an on since it was installed 20 years ago. It had been looked at by several companies over the years and no one could provide a solution . The skylight replacement was a problem because they could not find a replacement to fit the measurements. The guys came out several times. A couple of days ago, Elmer came out and spent some time making noise on the roof. When he finished, he said that the skylight would not leak anymore and that there was NO CHARGE for all the work they had done. As it turns out, the skylight had been installed incorrectly which is why the measurements were off. Elmer took it apart, figured out the problem and reinstalled it the right way. I repeat, NO CHARGE, event though we agreed to pay over $1,000 for a new skylight. He said he wouldn't do a job that was not needed. Yesterday we had a torrential rain and there were no leaks! I asked Elmer if he was the boss and he answered modestly that he was a "team member." In fact, he is the owner of Egama. Egama is an excellent, reasonably priced roofing company. Most important it is run with honesty and integrity!
