We were able to limp the last 42 miles to our hotel at 40 miles an hour. We checked tire and auto repair near our hotel while limping in and Babb's popped up and was very close to hotel. Made appointment for 8:30 the following morning. Got there on time, spoke with the folks at the counter and the owner came out. Said he would take care of it himself. Within a 1/2 hour he had the spare on and the damage tire mounted underneath and ready to go. Went in to pay and what a blessing, he would not take anything for the work. Such wonderful folks we met and what a Godly thing to do for us. We wish them all that God would repay their generosity to us ten fold. These men work fast. They confirmed that I wanted a patch and the manager said it would be $20. I agreed to the service and in about 6 minutes my wheel was back on and I was driving away. What I really liked was how they used soapy water to show where the tire was leaking air. Then after the patch, he put the soapy water on again where the hole was to show that it was no longer leaking. Very nice workers and extremely fast. I got charged for an inspection that involved driving the car, lifting it, and checking everywhere for it, I was told. I got charged $70 for "nothing". I drove down the road and eventually pulled into a shop that checked it for free and found the specific issues within 15 minutes. They even gave me a price estimate and were nice about it, too. I cannot comprehend why I got charged this much for "nothing". and I honestly highly doubt anything was done about it. I was also told my vehicle would need to get worse before any flags could catch their attention. Do not let businesses cheat you out of money.
