I came here and mentioned the specific concerns I had about my vehicle. I left it here overnight and came back the next day. I got charged for an inspection that involved driving the car, lifting it, and checking everywhere for it, I was told. I got charged $70 for "nothing". I drove down the road and eventually pulled into a shop that checked it for free and found the specific issues within 15 minutes. They even gave me a price estimate and were nice about it, too. I cannot comprehend why I got charged this much for "nothing". and I honestly highly doubt anything was done about it. I was also told my vehicle would need to get worse before any flags could catch their attention. Do not let businesses cheat you out of money. read more

My kid attends Bama and had a serious problem with his car. The guys at Warren fixed it once and the repair lasted a week. The problem reoccurred and son took the car back into Warren. Turns out the part was faulty and they fixed it quickly at no charge. They even offered my son a ride to and from campus if he needed it. These guys are legit and take good care of the Bama kids. I took my car to get the battery replaced, which takes 30 minutes maximum according to them. Not only are they overcharging me for the battery, but they said it'll be $110 for the installation of the battery which is absolutely asinine. This was supposed to be a same-day job and I am now coming up on 24 hours since I dropped it off and they have not even started yet. If your car is broke in ttown just go to O'Reillys and ask one of their employees to do it off the clock for $30. read more

While Warren Tire gets a lot of great reviews from UA parents, our experience left us concerned. My car would not start for my daughter after she stopped for gas while she was driving to Atlanta. She got it jump started and took it to her grandfather in ATL. He cleaned the battery cables and reseated them and the car ran fine for short drives all week. But on her way back to Tuscaloosa, it once again failed to start after stopping for gas. Again she got a jump start and made it to campus but once there, the car would not start. The battery was brand new so she had it jumped and took it to Warren. She told Warren all of these details, including telling them her grandfather had cleaned and reseated the cables and the car ran fine for short trips. She told them she had lights and horn but the car would not start. They claim they checked the alternator and battery and they were fine. She asked them to check the starter and they told her that couldn't be the issue. All they did was clean and reseat the cables and claim the car now started fine, which is true, but that is the same thing her grandfather had done and that is not the fix. She felt Warren ignored her explanation of what happened and did the bare minimum to get the car started again without diagnosing the real issue. They did not check the battery ground, the starter solenoid or connection or the ignition switch. So now we have to take it somewhere else and have them look at the rest. read more

These guys are just awesome and go above and beyond. I am from Chicago and a patent of a Bama University student. My daughter got a piece of metal in her tire and it was causing a medium leak. I had her drive her car to Firestone to drop it off since it was night time and I didn't want to have to tow her car in the morning. They looked at the tire and said it was not patchable due to the size of metal in the tread. They did not take the tire off the rim to fully inspect it and priced me out at just under $400 for a new tire. I recall Warren Tires working on her other SUV the year before and remembered they did a great job, so I called them and they said they would look at the tire. Thirty minutes later not only did these guys patch the tire but they only charged me $25 for the total repair. These guys took the time to take the tire off the rim and find the best solution. This is how businesses should operate and these guys are honest, professional and put the customer first. They have earned my business and I highly recommend them. read more

I was very upset after having 2 tires replaced. I asked that my spare tire be placed in trunk and after leaving the shop I need to put groceries into the truck then I see the tire on top of the broken cover. I go back to the shop and tell management, he said he would replace it, he said I have your number, I'll call you when I find the part. A month and still haven't heard from them. read more

I've had many people tell me this is a great place. I'll let you decide......... I dropped my car off this morning to have my AC checked out. After a couple of Hours, the guy called and told me it would be a major job(evaporator core) and would cost a little over $1500 to fix. I told him that I would pass. Upon arriving to pick it up, I learned that my bill was $157 and some change just to diagnose the problem. The only part listed on my bill was Freon, which was itemized at $38. I then called another repair service that gave me a quote of $800 to fix my problem. Do you think I will be back at Warren Tire? read more

I've had great experiences with Warren Tire, both the original on University Blvd and the new location on 15th St. All of their staff are very friendly, and they're VERY efficient. Today I had a headlight out, so called the University location in the morning to see when the best time to come to have it fixed might be. I pulled into their parking lot at 2:40pm, and by 3:00 I was back on the road. (I had the option to have a free ride to and from work to leave the car there, but for 20 minutes, why bother?) A few months ago I had a leaking tire, so pulled into the 15th St location without an appointment. They gave me a ride to work in the morning and came to pick me up when the tire had been repaired (for $25). I'm a loyal customer when I get great service, so I'm sure I'll be back! read more

Service was fast and easy. I had gotten a flat tire and changed it myself. I brought the tire in to get it plugged ($25) and they swapped the tires back and replaced my spare under my truck for no extra charge. I think they may have even topped off my other tires with air. Fast, helpful, polite service. Update: I had rated this five stars and was very pleased, but I have since learned that $25 for a tire plug is a lot more than market price. It should cost more like $10. read more

Be careful if you use warren tires for anything then tires, they will not give you a full Diagnostic or estimate on Mechanical work, brought 1998 ford ranger in for service, paid $2500 for water pump and AC/HEATER blower box inside cab. They said AC and cooling system was GTG, got home and smelled antifreeze, checked it out found radiator low on coolant, filled back up started truck only to see 2 water hoses spraying coolant out, I replaced hoses, then three weeks later AC stopped working took back to warren tire which now says that I need new compressor for $1100 and this was after on first time I brought truck in they said they checked AC, put dye through system, say no leeks or problems, gave it a clean bill of health, and then when I brought this up they became very roud and told me to bring it to another repair shop. Warren tire could have cared less, only wanted more money and through me under the box read more

They may seem on the pricier end but you get what you pay for with top quality work. I took my care their to find out why the air kept blessing out of the tire! One of the guys said the air was coming out through the valve and I should have it replaced. I was late for work so I went back later on that day! And another guy said he don't know where the air is coming out from! I told him with the previous guy said! Then he said he didn't find a leek! Go over your car with them before they work on it. they scratched my new rim and said it was already scratched, I washed my car just before going to warren tire so I know my wheel wasn't scratched. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! They charged $140 to fix our air conditioning system ($90 for labor!! $140 total cost), which leaked out again within 5 days. They didn't even recommend that we come back in a few days to have the dye checked for any leaks. Then, they claimed that the condenser was bad and that it would cost $1,600 to fix it. After asking, they gave me a partial refund on the original charge, but still complained about having to do that (I was appreciative for them giving back $49). I ended up taking it to another mechanic who is a family friend in another city. He said that after testing, the condenser was totally fine and that the hose just needed to be replaced. The fix was $350. Our family doesn't have a ton of money to throw around and we almost got ripped off even more by Warren. After telling others about my situation they had very similar stories and said that they will never use Warren again. I will never go back and will tell others to stay away from them too. I would NOT recommend Warren Tire Pros. I brought my car in with a faulty O2 sensor. Based on previous research I had done, this job should not have cost more than $300-$500, depending on the price of the part. When they called me with the estimate, they said it would cost $725, which was way more than I was expecting. They said the part would be $250 (which is $70 more than it actually costs), and tried to charge me $450+ for labor on a job that shouldn't take more than an hour. I called Pitt's Auto Service shortly after, and they gave me an estimate that was half of the price of the one from Warren's. They still charged me $50 for the diagnostic test (even though I already knew what was wrong with the car and told them). Safe to say I am taking my car somewhere else, but just thought it was frustrating that they were so clearly trying to take advantage of me likely because I am a young, female college student. read more

I'm sorry they do good work but will lie to you and over charge you they mite be able to do it to people that don't know better but not me. I had to have the steering geer replaced on my car I didn't have everything to do it so I let them I also had a small oil leak that they told me was a oil filled motor mount gone bad. My car don't have those and they were going to charge me 1000 to fix it. The leak was from a bad o ring in the oil cooler it cost me less than 25 bucks. They are crooks and I think they should be put out of business because of that. Lucky I do all my own repairs that I have the tools to do and that just about any of it and I know enough about cars not to have fallen for that. Beware to all that go there they are crooks. They should have known when I brought them the steering geer and told them only reason I wasn't doing it I had no were to lift my car up high enough to change it myself so crooks and morons read more

Will rob you blind. Had an alternator go out on my Ford Focus (ladies?). Was in a real tight so had to call them. They came right away with roll-back and tow was only 60 bucks. Not too bad. After heading home I had my wife call them to see if they could also REPLACE my hotwire going to my battery since it wasn't replaced when I took it in for repairs earlier (the insulation near the battery terminal was burnt off and wire looked about to burn into). Well when it was time to pick up my car replacing alternator cost me 620 bucks!! They said they had to buy a Ford brand alternator from the local Ford dealership because there weren't any aftermarket ones in town and its better to go with brand name anyway. I don't have a problem with that. On the bill it said the alternator was $300! I thought that seemed pretty high so the next morning I called the Ford dealership and asked what a new alternator like mine ran and they said $179. With tax and all like a $132 markup. Which is bull. Oh yeah, their solution to hotwire on battery: electrical tape. Nice. read more
