With less than a week heads up, she was able to coordinate a time for my hair and makeup, and was so accommodating! I was very happy with the results after she was complete, but the real test came for the actual engagement shoot where we were on the beach getting splashed with ocean water, and battling wind. I have VERY fine blonde hair, and every piece stayed in place (and it was down in loose curls!), and my makeup look like it had just been put on despite hours in humid/wet conditions --- I was floored! Obviously with such a great experience, I booked her and her team for our wedding date once we settled on a venue. The results on our wedding day were nothing short of what I expected. It speaks to her expertise that she could put on my eyelashes all while the hotel staff climbed ladders to fix the A/C, room service fluffed the pillows and bedding, dropped off a celebratory bottle and chocolates. She kept telling me we would later laugh about it and she's right. Aside from some general requests on how I wanted my hair and makeup to look, I trusted her to do her thing and she delivered. However, as my 26 year old daughter pointed out, the photographs from our day would be a forever memory, and I probably wanted to look better than I usually do (i.e., crazy hair and no makeup). Regina was recommended by our wedding coordinator (for a wedding with only my fiance, my daughter, her boyfriend, and me). I was very concerned that no one would be up to the task of doing something with my hair that could withstand the humidity and high winds at Kapalua (like 40 mph gusts and 78% humidity). So, I had Regina come the day before to do a trial run. Totally unnecessary! Regina is a true professional, and knew immediately what to do with my hair. On the day of the wedding, she showed up early and left plenty of time to make any needed changes - no matter what the wedding coordinator says, Regina will do what is needed and will take her time to make you look perfect). While the photographs show her wizardry (and these are our unfiltered, untouched, iPhone photos - professional photos take a while to get), they do not capture her charm and compassion. It sounds silly, but there were times when Regina was putting on my makeup that our eyes would meet. I saw such depth of soul that was calming and reassuring - she would just smile in a way that touched me in a very meaningful way, like a wise woman who knows and says "you will be okay" and you truly believe her. When you are getting married, I cannot emphasize enough how this will be an enormous ineffable quality you will cherish forever. Everyone, even my somewhat critical daughter, was stunned at the outcome. My makeup was natural looking but oh-so-flattering (alluring and sexy, too!), and my hair? Holy-moly - she did it! My hair survived the outdoor wedding and photographs on the beach, all absolutely, unbelievably, in tact. I looked more beautiful than I think I ever have. Not to mention- her crew helped SAVE my wedding flower epic fail. Some of my bridesmaids went to pick up my bouquet and when they brought it back- it didn't match my bridesmaids bouquets WHATSOEVER. I was kind of in a state of shock/panic and one Trisha's girls said (without me having to ask) she had done flowers before and she offered her help. I was so relieved and not 20 minutes later, she had completely adjusted and fixed my bridesmaids bouquets to work with mine.
