CROOKS! FRAUD! I would never use this company and advocate for anyone else in need of a new roof to look elsewhere. I hired them and paid them to install a new roof with all new plywood. A few years later I started having issues where the shingles would blow off every time we had a wind storm. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but after the third and fourth time I took down the insulation cover the work they did. I found out the only gave me a third of the new plywood roof I paid for. The charged me for a new roof, but only gave me new shingles. They've so far refused to give me the new roof I paid for and have only come back to patch my roof. Run as fast as you can from this company. You'll also notice on their web site they say they are top rated on Home Advisor. Try searching for them on Home Advisor and you will find they do not exist. I had this company installed my roof several years ago, and I just found they did NOT installed any ventilation on my roof. Ventilation is so important because the roof needs to breath so that the air in the house could flow. Without the ventilation the house is very humid and it's not energy efficient. When spoke to the owner of the company, he just denied and didn't want to be responsible about it! So please be careful, stay away from this company . They cheat on their clients, shortcut their work. I saw several of my neighbors' roof were installed by them don't have ventilation either, but the roofs which were done by the others have. read more

Got the Estimate for a new roof, verbally agreed on the contract and payment options. Once we were ready to sign contract and payment was ready for them to pick up, they completely missed our first scheduled appointment for contract signing.... Ok no big deal, things happen. Rescheduled for the following Monday and they again completely missed the appointment with no phone call or email. If they miss appointments to literally bring a contract and collect money, I can imagine how they are during contractual work. Terrible. read more

Strongly advise against hiring J. Salvatore & Sons. Hired them to replace several broken slates on my roof and they did garbage work. They charge an exorbitant "ladder setup fee" that is intended to cover the effort required to lay ladders on your slate roof so their employees do not have to walk on the roof and damage the existing slates. Well, after this expensive fee, they did not set up any ladders and just walked all over my roof and did unknown amounts of damage to the existing slates. When it comes to billing, they may forget about you or they may aggressively harass you with threatening letters and phone calls. We hired this group to repair a roof. 3 months later, Christmas Eve, the roof leaked right into our sunroom. We called, they came over then sent an estimate for repairs, never offering to repair they're faulty work. We called back, no answer, continued to call without response. Finally we had to contact other roofers to get this resolved as leaking occurred in any rain storm. Each roofer said it was shoddy work, poorly done. We called again, spoke with someone who looked up our project, quoted what we paid (good money for sure), told to have the owner call back . I call for a new roof, not a patch repair. I'm told by the owner he will go by the house and get back to me. He didn't want to meet me even though I had a ton of other work to offer him. I never heard back with any response. Glad you're doing well but don't think it lasts forever. You keep shitting on people it comes back to you. Meant to be, I saw one of their jobs and wasn't impressed. Says a lot when a vendor doesn't call back even if they are too busy to take on more work or simply don't want to do the job.
