They're going to need a bigger boat!!! One month in and this place is almost standing room only for spectators. My son has had 3 classes and is now enrolled in the after school program and we are in love!!! I couldn't imagine a better teacher for my 6 year old than Master Lee. He gets picked up from school everyday in a tiger striped hummer, is taken back to the dojo for homework time, snack time and a 40 minute taekwondo class everyday. This program fits within our schedule and we couldn't be more pleased. Korean born Master Lee is the real deal. He has such a passion for the art and the children. J. Tiger is new to the area and is taking off like a bullet. If you are considering martial arts, J. Tiger is the best!

My daughter has been training at J Tiger for almost six years and is now a second degree black belt and assistant instructor. Master Lee is an amazing instructor and great with students of all ages. He also has a wonderful mix of assistant instructors some that are his current students and others directly from Korea. If you want an authentic TKD experience this is the place for you!

This not so much of a review for J. Tiger Martial Arts as it is for its owner Master Lee. For the past 2 1/2 years Master Lee was the head instructor for a Taekwondo studio in Virginia. The studio was one of 8 in a chain located through the N. Virginia area, the studio Master Lee presided over was the only one located in a somewhat rural part of the state, about 90 miles west of Washington, DC. In those 2 1/2 years Master Lee took a newly opened studio with only a handful of members to a membership of well over 200 students. He did this in a combination of ways: 1. Implacable instruction - Master Lee's skill, knowledge, integrity and ability to teach are rarely matched. 2. Very charismatic personality - Master Lee is one of those rare people that you just like from the moment you meet him. 3. Hard working - Master Lee is always striving for perfection and in return his students strive for the same. Which in the case of my son translated into his school work, "A" honor roll for the past 2 years. 4. Tradition - Master Lee truly attempts to pass on the ethic of the Korean Taekwondo system. 5. Honesty - Master Lee has been one of the most honest people I have ever met. 6. Community service - Master Lee consistently did his part to assist in fund raisers, demo and self defense courses in his community. 7. Family - Master Lee creates an environment of family. 8. Appreciative of what this country has to offer - Master Lee and his family left his native Korea to immigrate to the United States and start his American Dream. Through hard work and perseverance it's his belief he can not fail. In turn he try's to pass this on to his students, in particular the younger ones. It was a very emotional time when Master Lee announced that he was leaving to open his own school. Many of the smaller children cried, maybe a few parents too. No one wanted to see him leave, yet all understood and want him to succeed in Texas. It was a huge loss for our family, but our loss is your gain. Southlake is very lucky to have Master Lee. There are a lot of martial arts schools out there. Too often in this country you'll find martial arts schools that are marginal at best, with inflated or meaningless credentials. When choosing a martial arts studio forget about the type or style of martial art, choose instead the quality of the instruction. With Mater Lee there are no inflated /meaningless credentials. Master Lee is the real deal. You or your child will be given nothing; you or your child will earn every stripe and belt. In closing I am making no judgment on any surrounding martial arts school. I can only say that when Master Lee's opens the doors to J. Tiger Martial Arts the community of Southlake, TX will have one of the finest martial arts instructors to be found. I encourage you to give him a try.

J Tiger Martial Arts. Simply put, we love this place and Master Lee. His positive spirit is present in every detail of this business. He loves his students and his passion for his dojo is apparent from the first moment you step through the door. Our 11 y.o. son has found a home with J Tiger and can't wait for each practice. Five Stars!

For the record, I hate going to gyms (waiting on machines, then watching people glare at me as I use the machine I had been waiting on), I don't like to run, and swimming for me is a seat on the bench in the pool with a cold beverage in hand. But I do need to exercise. So it was just a few weeks ago that I put my 48 year old body through a trial class at Min Hur's and I've been hooked ever since. The classes are invigorating, the instructors are patient, and I am learning a life skill. But most importantly, I've gained a great activity that I can share with my son. What more could I ask for? One big plus here - they offer family classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and my son and I can also work out together on Saturday mornings as well. Yes, he outranks me - and I'm constantly reminded of that. But I couldn't have asked for a better way to get back in shape - and I will beat him to black belt! Thanks Min Hur!

The owner Mrs. Muegge in my opinion is one the best teacher of taekwondo to kids in the DFW area.. She has patience, discipline, perseverance and can work with kids with all ages and most importantly attitudes. She builds up their self-confidence with a "Let's Go! Let's Go! You can Do It!" Attitude. And you can tell the kids listen and respect her My daughter (10 years old) has been coming here since January of 2024 every week. Taekwondo is one of the highlights of her week. She is Green Belt Recommended. She Loves to spar, compete, practice and join in competitions. She really wasn't competitive before joining, but now she really is, which is great. There are adult classes too, which I should checkout myself, cause I know I would learn a lot. Overall if you want your kiddo of any age, (or you for that matter.) to build up some self confidence, discipline, get some exercise in, and put down the iPad, then Colleyville ATA is the place for you and your family. I cannot recommend more!!! 5 out of 5 stars and then some!

I love the martial arts because taught correctly, they teach discipline, self control, and respect. I spent many hours with my son, James' father, learning the martial arts, and his training contributed to the good, successful man he is today. I saw and heard good things when I attended one of James' training sessions, and the charming professional people and the training seem to be completely top notch.
