They were supposed to start in February but didn't get finished until mid-April (we paid in full in Nov). Their communication with us and each other is terrible. If you talk to the owner, Jeff, he doesn't relay the info to the workers, or it appears that he doesn't. If you talk to his wife, she doesn't relay the info to Jeff or the workers. It was very frustrating, not to mention the guys that came did not speak a lick of English, the foreman even had a hard time communicating with us. Jeff's main excuse for the delay was Covid, he had it 3 times, which, I believe, but that never stopped his business from running. His crew was still working while Jeff was out sick, why would Jeff being sick delayed our project that we had planned out with him since November, I do not know. The crew would come for an hour, maybe 2 and then leave and we would not see them back for a week or more (usually more). I did change a few things, like plant choices and the river rap but both were minimal changes but took Jeff about 2 weeks to actually change it. The change took the guys maybe 20 mins.... But yet it was my fault there was the delay. We asked for the job to be completed by April 1st, we had family coming into town, they said it would be. We had our plants in and 1/3 rock, no lightening, no extended walkway and it sat like that for 2 weeks and that's when I emailed Jeff to finish or give us the remainder of our money back. They were there that week and finished. It's been a month since they have been done and we have one light that is the wrong color, we are still waiting on them to change it. My front yard does look beautiful and overall they did a wonderful job, it was just a headache to get them to work and to finish. If you're a more patient person than I am, then I do recommend this company.

We had been trying to meet for months, and this was the spontaneous time that worked for us. Derek met us, and we were immediately struck by his enthusiasm and obviously extensive knowledge. He was completely present and enthusiastic as he welcomed our questions. I was embarrassed to be coming in so close to the end of his workday with so many questions from not one- but two of us! He didn't- for even a second- make us feel we were annoying or any kind of a burden.. I think I would have booted us and our million questions. Derek was so far above and beyond anything we could possibly have expected! In particular, Jo Britain goes above and beyond to make sure you can get back up and running as quickly as possible. She gives out her number and expects you to use it. We have called her all hours of the day or night during hay season. She has dropped everything and gone to the store after hours so we could get the part we needed to fix our equipment and keep going. She is a huge reason that Stotz continues to get our business.

I've been in a few times in the last couple months, the service is always great but today clinched…read morea 5 star worthy review, and as I write this I feel terrible I didn't get the guys name, I went in to look at their in door plant selection, and to maintain objectivity here I will say, selection can be hit or miss (at least it seems in summer) but I have to assume that's partially because of the weather and indoor plants don't mix, but despite the inconsistency with selection quality is always fantastic whoever is taking care of the plants clearly takes pride in what they do and knows what they are doing, I've never seen a pest issue with a single plant I've brought home, their always pruned nicely and well to ensure they look presentable, I'm always confident in the quality, pricing is on par for local nurseries or plant stores but a couple dollars more if you were comparing a big box store but you're absolutely getting that back in the aforementioned plant quality and care which makes that acclimation transition sooooo much better! My feedback there would just be that sometimes there are products missing tags that for someone like me just means I just won't pick up that plant. (There's a smaller sized ficus Audrey I've seen a couple times that I'm just waiting for them to tag ) Anyway, today though I was checking out with my plants and the gentleman attending the register says, that collections really growing, and asks about other purchases we'd made there, and connecting with his own plant experiences, For someone to remember a person whose only been a few times in a decent span of time I give kudos for tha level of service, you can tell that he always give great service but then have a real asset w it someone that just gives that little extra! I can never pass a garden center without stopping and today was no exception. I admit to being a…read morecactus addict and they had a large selection. Unfortunately, since I already have a vast collection, they didn't have anything new. Considering the recent weather, their plants looked in really good condition and prices were reasonable for the area. The staff was friendly and did not seem to mind that I was just browsing. They also had a really nice selection of Mexican pottery and I was tempted. Once Spring arrives and I am in the area I will definitely stop by again.

This place has great reviews for service and selection but we must've came on the wrong day…read more Arriving a gentleman was sitting on a tractor and we asked where a specific plant was and he pointed "out that door and down the row to your right." No other customers were there that needed help so you think he could've gotten off the tractor and helped us find them but nope. We walked out to the nursery area to find the walking paths flooded in water. Not just wet but water so deep it would have come over the soles of my shoes. We had to navigate like we were hiking in a river. Another employee came out and acknowledged that "it sure is wet out here" and quickly walked away without offering to help. I found the selection to be lacking in any plant variety but who knows if we were even looking in the right place since no one wanted to assist us. We went to Moon Valley and received excellent customer service and found the plants we wanted...without wading in water. I love small businesses and may give A & P another shot but was disappointed with our first visit.
