He was completely present and enthusiastic as he welcomed our questions. I was embarrassed to be coming in so close to the end of his workday with so many questions from not one- but two of us! Needed some plants for our planter boxes in the front of our new home. I knew this was a challenge based on the summer heat but Steve was very helpful and informative. He walked us around and explained each plant he recommended and how it would look as it matures. Let me start off by saying this is one of the best experiences with a company I have ever had. My family moved into a house in July and a lot of the backyard plants were toxic to dogs. We knew we wanted new ones but didn't want to have to go through the ordeal of planting them. We looked into a few places and decided to try moon valley. We went in early on a Saturday morning and Josh helped walk us through a few things that would work and walked us through the process of install. It was so smooth and the selection was astonishing. We got to choose our own palm tree from the lot too based on the color we liked best. After tagging the yard and picking a date, plating day came, and while I was at work all the new plants were installed. They look amazing and everything was cleaned up and no damage to the yard. Now we have a warranty on the plants and can request help if we need it for keeping things alive. Everything was so smooth and Josh was so kind throughout the entire process. 10/10 recommend! We purchased some Ficus for our backyard in April. We paid Moon Valley over $4000 for the purchase and planting. We were told they came with a 90 day warranty. As you can clearly see one is growing very crooked. We contacted Moon Valley to send somebody out to fix it- since they picked and planted them. They said the 90 day warranty doesn't cover this issue and that for them to come out and take a look would be a minimum of $300 on top of whatever the cost to rectify the issue would be. They said we should have purchased the other warranty they offer. Use caution when purchasing from them- especially if you rely on the warranty. It's dumbfounding that their warranty doesn't cover the crooked tree or the way they planted it. We will not be using them any longer. read more

We had a wonderful design built for a multiyear, multi thousand dollar planting for our front yard, the initial visit and planting was good. However a company that should be an expert in planting in desert surroundings did not take into account wind and did not stake our trees - they of course began to lean and after multiple reach outs and even recommendations by their own expert (yup I bought the premium package where they come out an inspect after a year, etc) we had to become experts and stake them ourselves. Additional they did not place any protection around our 1200$ cactus so it was a feast for the prairie dogs. As were our bushes. We again had to research and after a few fails we found coyote pee works wonders. Anyway if I have to do all of the work myself, I won't pay 15000$ to someone else and just plant my own landscaping. read more

On our first trip we were met by Derek who walked us through the massive inventory and based on our landscape goals helped us choose four trees for our backyard and one tree for our front yard. Derek also helped us choose shrubs for the side yard, and drew up plans for us to submit to our HOA to ensure we had approval. We ordered a small tree to be delivered and planted. The price was crazy. For a small tree with delivery and planting it was almost $800, and delivery wouldn't take place for 3 weeks. After 1 week we decided to cancel our order. They charged us a $105.00 cancellation fee. The salesman told us that was for ordering the tree, but they had hundreds of these trees onsite when we purchased it. I would stay away from this place!! read more

I went to Moon Valley Nursery interested in a tree. I spoke with Jacob and it was a windy day, but he started showing me around and asking questions and I ended up purchasing two trees. I also picked up another small potted bird of paradise, install date was set and I wasn't happy with my planned placement. I called and spoke with Gary, added one more bird or paradise and talked about a small location change and he said no prob. We recently had our front yard completely re-done. Adam came to our home and made recommendations. We had all of the trees trimmed, and large, overgrown and some dying bushes removed and replaced with new little Ollie's, lantanas and yellow bells. We also wanted a paver walkway and a section of artificial turf added. Adam recommended Edwin, a landscaper out of Mesa and he did beautiful work. He installed walkways, turf, new irrigation and lighting. In addition he poured a slab for a large container/shed in the backyard and created a stepping stone walkway in an area of the backyard that met up with some existing sandstone paths. We could not be happier with the final result of our project. And the entire project came in for less money than expected! read more

First time in ,San tan valley location. Was not impressed, 3 guys sitting on their butts and not anxious to get up. Ask about tomato plants. They said yeah, they're out there. :we looked around and didn't find any. Ask another guy and he said " over there ". Went where he pointed and found nothing. Went in the shack and ask him again and again said "over ther" and took use. He said right here. Only thing, they were chili pepper plants. THEY LOOK NOTHING LIKE TOMATOES. A guy working in Al nursery and doesn't know what a tomato plant looks like. Doubt I'll come back. read more
