I had a skin cancer removed at this clinic two years ago.I am not sure what to expect from a large…read morepiece of flesh cut out of my body but the scar is atrocious and crooked as if the surgeon never took a sewing class. he was very clear that I would have a big scar, but some people can do a good job sewing and some cannot. the main reason I post this review is because the doctor has a psychology degree yet I was layed on my side with the surgical table directly in front of my face. the doctor stood behind me, with the nurse standing in front of my torso. he handed bloody instruments across my body to her and laid the huge chunk of flesh they removed from me upon the tray.from a medical perspective it was interesting to see the blood, skin and adipose tissue, but from any doctor, especially one with a psychology degree this seems like an incredible oversight. why wasn't the nurse standing next to the doctor or the surgical tray placed by my knees or feet? the building is very posh and professional, their covid procedures were in place.

It would have been better to call me and admit their mistake bc I would have told them about the change in my account. Or go by to pick it up bc I live nearby. The head receptionist seemed stern so it makes sense why she would not call me and admit her mistake. Meanwhile I'm out 20 bucks. I've struggled…read moreon and off throughout my life with eczema and I've seen many dermatologists who have thrown the same creams and light treatments at me for years. None of them ever mentioned or tried Prednisone, which has been Dr. Higgins' go-to when I experience a flare up. It calms the flare over a few days time. The topicals she prescribes as well as her OTC recommendations keep it calm for a good while afterwards. Dr. Higgins' also has the best bedside manner I've experienced with a physician. She is friendly, open, compassionate, and you can easily see how she genuinely cares for and empathizes with her patients. She is incredibly charismatic with a good sense of humor and she, as well as her staff, quickly make you feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend going to her for any dermatological concerns, especially if you've had poor experiences or poor treatment outcomes in the past.
