This workout is fun! It flies by, is different every day, and totally accessible to anyone. From super fit experienced folks to beginners, and everyone in between, there's nothing intimidating about the circuit. I've been rehabbing an injury as well and the trainers are super accommodating and knowledgeable about modifications and alternatives. I love what an inclusive and supportive community Jabz is as well. Truly all are welcome here. Its never about losing weight and always about getting strong and meeting your own health goals. I absolutely love this place. Regardless if you work out everyday, you will find the workouts here challenging. They are different every class and certain days dictate a particular focus. The instructors are friendly, the music is kick *$$ and it's motivating and encouraging to be in a room of female rockstars. I have done things I didn't think I could do like one hand burpees and I'm getting use to burpees by now LOl. I think it not only strengthens your body but your mind. I recommend people take advantage of the free week or the unlimited month of classes (what I am doing) Can't get enough of this place! read more

This is ladies program, but I was invited to go with my significant other today for Valentine's Day. She and my daughter have been going for over a year and love it. Wanted to show me what they do and I will admit I could not keep up. I was toast after only one of the two rounds of stations we were doing today. Friendly, welcoming, small classes, amazing instructors! I use ClassPass, since I love variety. Jabz allows most classes to be used with ClassPass. I love that they have a 6AM Saturday class (since I work many Saturdays!) As of March 31, 2019, the Classpass allows four classes per month with Jabz, and it charges a reasonable amount of credits. The workout: Each day there is a set of instructions for warmups, but a person doesn't necessarily have to follow them. It's recommended to row, do some jump roping, running in place, light stretches (after warmed up), etc. The instructor demonstrates and explains each exercise. There are boxing exercises inside and outside the ring. The timer is set to do those exercises, then a cardio/strength move in between, like jumping jacks and plank jacks for example. Inside the ring often includes strength moves, such as squats and lunges. People can modify movements. On my first visit, the instructor was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and would help me with the moves that I forgot or was unfamiliar doing. There are other stations along the wall, along with punching exercises against the mannequins. The stations often include a nice variety of strength moves, ropes, and cardio. The routines are never the same. I feel challenged each time, and I am someone who exercises on a regular basis, so this is perfect for a unique workout and variety. The instructor leads the class in cool down stretches at the end. The facility is clean; the classes are small, so instructors can walk around, to encourage attendees and help us with our form. This is so important, since I have been to other gyms where they allow 40+ people in a class similar to this with zero help on moves or form. I love the personal attention and encouragement. So far, the music has been fun and upbeat. I have taken classes with Marie and Jessi and enjoyed their classes. The participants are friendly. Requirement: Must have boxing gloves, which they sell at the studio. Parking: I have only gone Saturday AM, and there are plenty of spots. I imagine later in the day, it could be crowded since it's a small lot (?), but I don't know. I'm planning to come back 2-4 times a month for the variety and fun! read more

I love this gym!! I started working out here when I was trying to hit a health goal. They helped me surpass my goal and the positivity of the trainers made going to the gym something I looked forward to every day! When I got pregnant they helped me modify my workouts and I was able to continue staying healthy and fit throughout my pregnancy (at an "advanced age"). Post-delivery the trainers were so supportive in helping me recover physically and emotionally. They truly care about you as a whole person and the trainers and other women in this gym have become a supportive community that I rely on! They have gone above and beyond in supporting all of us continue to stay positive and healthy throughout the COVID-19 shutdown. The people in this gym make it amazing. Went to Jabz for the first time and totally fell in love with it. For tough chicks that like to kick butt, or those who have something to get off their chest, or those having a crap day and needing someplace to express themselves - this place is for you. When I first walked in, I was taken aback by how friendly the staff was! One of the ladies guided me through the basics of jabs, hooks, and upper cuts, then proceeded to walk the whole group through the stations we were doing that day. There's even 'cardio blasts' in between stations that give you that extra challenge. And let me say, it's truly invigorating to punch your heart out on a dummy and imagining it's that extra special person you want to punch in your life. You will leave sweaty and fired up. I recommend this place to any woman looking for new ways to feel like a badass. read more

I absolutely love Jabz. I have never done a class like this before because I have a "disability" with my hands. I was scared and nervous I wouldn't be able to complete or even do the class because of my limitations. I called Marie before purchasing my groupon and she was so happy and friendly. She answered all of my questions and made me feel like I wanted to take the class at that very moment. I went in early and she was able to get me set up and showed me different exercises I could do without me worrying about my hands. I've only taken this class twice and I already feel so empowered as a person. I'm doing something I never thought I would be doing and I feel comfortable and confident each time I walk into class. The women in there are super friendly and welcoming. Each class is small so the instructor is able to run around to each person if they need help. read more

The classes here are super great! A timed interval workout that gets your heart rate up and allows you to burn a ton of calories! The class was so fun and not overly crowded! It was my first time and the members were super supportive and encouraging. Olivia is an awesome trainer, she made sure I understood how to do the boxing moves and pushed me throughout the workout, plus she is fun! If you haven't tried this for a workout yet, it's a must!! Love Amanda and Marie and the incredibly hard and fun workout I get in a quick 45 minute class filled with great music and women!! Their start up deal is amazing and the workouts are different every time you go. So much better than Orange Theory and much less expensive!! Added bonus is that you can cancel up to one hour beforehand and not 24hrs. So happy they opened in our hood!!! read more

Jabz Boxing Central Phoenix is an amazing and supportive gym for women. From the moment I walked into the gym and was greeted by the trainer to the moment I left it was an amazing experience. At your first class they walk you through what you can expect, how the class works and how to punch and kick on the bags. The trainers are always guiding you through the workout and seem to know when you need that extra push to keep you going to the last bell...especially Marie! Love jabz boxing. Best gym there is. I love the atmosphere at jabz. Being all women makes it much more comfortable to workout at than other gyms I have tried. Marie the trainer and owner is always happy and helpful with form corrections or modifications if an exercise is too challenging for me. Jabz central Phoenix is a great gym with a great concept! I like to explain it as a HIIT style workout that has you rotating between 16 stations (2 rounds) with an active rest/transition period. Every station can be tailored to ones capabilities and the owners and trainers are very knowledgeable making it a very safe and fun environment for everyone. It's a cheerful, clean, upbeat place with great music and instructors and workouts that are a little different every time. It's difficult but fun! I'm 57, chunky, not coordinated at all, and have bad knees. What I can say about JABZ is that it's invigorating, exhausting, sweaty, and probably the most fun I've had in a long time! The trainers, Amanda & Marie are awesome and really encourage all the ladies. This is the best workout I've ever had! I've only been to 5 sessions, but I would highly recommend it to all the ladies out there. I bought my gloves at JABZ & signed up for the $34 Unlimited classes for one month. I'm planning on cancelling my GYM membership & joining JABZ. read more

This place is advertised as an all women's gyms but it is really not. Other locations are but not this place. The owner occasionally brings in men and if you (the paying customer) have any religious observances or issues and concerns, you have to leave. No refunds or accommodations. read more
