First time here in fifteen years, at a big 80th birthday party with fifty guests. Plenty of free parking with an optional valet. We know a few friends that play lots of golf here and love it. Since the last time here it was definitely not as modern decor as tonight so surely remodeled. The Jacaranda golf course surrounds the country club. Great party at the Jacaranda Country Club. Attended many luncheons here over the years but tonight the birthday party was fantastic. Free parking or valet. The host greeted us and pointed to our table with beautiful decorations everywhere. In line immediately at the full bar and the bartender made a strong aperol spritz. The food buffet was plentiful and the chocolate fountain and cake were a nice touch for dessert. The staff were on point and we were very satisfied with all of the customer service. read more

One of the best public courses in the area. There are 2 courses located on the same site---- West and East. Very well designed, maintained and run. Clubhouse is nice for relaxing and having a beverage and food. Or there's also a quicker pick up area to get a wrap or sandwich along with some beverages to take on the course. The starter will direct you which way to take the cart. Pay attention and stay on the correct side of the lines! I believe we played one day from the #3 tees and another time from the #4 tees. The course is challenging with beautiful fairways, tough sand traps and water and very fast greens. For me, I thought the greens were the more challenging of the course. read more

I planned a holiday office luncheon for 25 people, which was a buffet. I would have liked to have been inside the restaurant, but was it not an option unless we wanted only semi private, so we opted to sit outside. I was thrilled to be able to pick what was on the buffet as they don't usually have a Friday lunch buffet. That was not private either, but there were less than 10 other patrons at the restaurant, and there was plenty of food for everyone. The favorites that we ordered were the brisket sliders and the chicken and spinach. The chicken salad was delicious, but then, all of the food was so good. The service was good, but we had dishes that piled up on the tables, and our beverages were slowly filled. I believe that was because our server for outside was also the inside server. The bread station was a wonderful surprise as the butter was chocolate flavored, which paired well with the sweet cinnamon sugar crusted bread. The African vegetable and Manhattan clam chowder soups were good and a little spicy in flavor. Everyone had a fun time, and we would like to have more holiday luncheons here in the future. read more

I have been to the Jacaranda Country Club for dozens of events over the years: weddings, bar mitzvahs, and many, many luncheons. It is a beautiful setting with large windows overlooking a very pretty setting, (luscious green golf course.). They can accommodate a pretty large group, (150+,) and I have seen lots of different set ups; usually many round tables for actual seating and then some rectangular tables for a head table, checkin station, raffle baskets or whatever. There is a grand entrance with a large chandelier, and for most events they have valet parking outside. (There is self parking too, but if you're dressed up and in heels, you have to walk up the hill to get to the front door.). For most events they usually have a little bar open just inside the entrance. The bar has most popular brands of liquor, wine & beer; but they do not have a tablet or cash register for credit card purchases, (at least not on my recent visit; the poor bartender had to write out credit card numbers and amounts by hand on a slip of paper.) I have also had better food there in past years. I paid $45 for a luncheon during the day on a Saturday. The 3 main course options were Chipotle Chicken, Flounder, and a vegetarian ravioli dish. The chicken was just ok. I was expecting a little spice or maybe salsa; but instead it was covered with really sweet orange slices and a very syrupy sweet sauce. It was just lukewarm & the side vegetables were not very flavorful, and the long skinny pieces were difficult to pick up & eat. The potato half was filled with mashed sweet potato & regular potato. It looked good, but was kind of bland. Two people I know had the fish dish; and both said it was not good, very dry. One sent it back, and one just didn't eat it at all. I heard that the ravioli dish was pretty good.(it's what the person who sent their flounder back ate.). The other courses were unimpressive as well. The appetizer was crab cakes. At least 3 people at our table didn't eat seafood; but there was no other option! The ladies who did eat the crab cakes said they were tasty. The salads consisted of some soggy greens, a few chunks of watermelon, and a chunk of some type of white cheese. Most people who tried it only ate a few bites. It looked like they scrounged up whatever was available to make an impromptu salad! The dessert was unique but again difficult to eat & it looked like they just threw together ingredients without much thought. (A puff pastry with a small creme brûlée type topping & very few berries.) The service was also far from stellar. It was very slow, and none of the waiters/waitresses were particularly friendly or helpful. They weren't rude; just kind of robotic. For a venue that probably has at least 3 or 4 large events scheduled per week, and for a place that charges what they do; I would expect the food & service to be better! (The only reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 is because I have been there previously and the food was much better!) read more

Wow! Two bar mitzvahs in 15 months! My two sons are now officially "men" in the Jewish religion. The boys both did super fantastic jobs and everything went well but glad all the stress of preparation is over. Both parties were brunches at Jacaranda Country Club and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. We chose Jacaranda due to it's convenient location, picturesque setting, and comprehensive pricing. Plus, the catering services are run by Darlene and Mike, two pros who know exactly what they are doing. We mostly dealt with Darlene. Darlene is very organized and a "no nonsense" type of person,but she could not have been more helpful. Darlene has years of experience with all occasions. She is also familiar with all of the vendors and is a great sounding board. We chose the Brunch. For both occasions we had tastings to pick exactly what we wanted. The brunch included all types of items including omelets made to order, various salads, bagels smoked salmon, teriyaki salmon, blintzes, and Jacaranda French Toast. Many of my guest commented that the food was excellent. The staff at Jacaranda was very pleasant and worked their tails off. Thank you Jacaranda for making our special days so awesome! read more

I haven't even teed off and already know I won't be back. The bar doesn't open until noon and they charge $10 for 35 range balls (after charging $100 greens fee for the FL resident rate). We came down from Delray to try something new. We should have stayed home. Update: even the beverage cart is an abomination. You can't actually get a mixed drink. You have to buy the mixer and the airplane bottles. At every turn these people continue to embarrass themselves as operators. I honestly feel badly for their families. read more

What a nice, laid back place to just sit back and enjoy your meal. They have extremely reasonable pricing and each meal comes with the soup and bread station which is a great extra. I had the grilled cheese with artichokes and spinach and I thought it was really good. My friend had the patty melt and came out of it smiling. There were a few service mistakes but it's all good. We had our wedding here on 11/8/2009. Beautiful place, food was great, and Darlene was amazing in helping me through the whole process. We priced almost every country club and hotel in Broward/ Palm Beach and we felt this was the best value. So you've looked around where the heck in Broward county you wanna have your reception and every place is super expensive, creepy looking, or it smells funny? Well, look no more. Jacaranda Country Club is a beautiful place, that serves awesome food has superb customer service, and it will definitely not break your bank. The location is very nice and bright, it lets lots of natural sunlight in which was perfect for our day wedding, and it is smack dab in the middle of a golf course, which means lots of greenery outside. Also it has a nice gazebo outside perfect for pictures and ceremonies. Our wedding was in the summer so it was melty-hot outside but we still wanted pictures out there so we were offered a nice golf cart to take us there and back before we collapsed. :) The place also has a nice bridal suite with fresh fruits and bubbly. The food is fantastic. We had a nice brunch complete with mimosas, rum punch and bloody marys. One of the highlights of the meal was the decadent Jacaranda French Toast. We also had Prime Rib, Flounder, a variety of salads, pancakes and a full omelette station. They a tasting prior to the event and they include the wedding cake in the price. We dealt with Darlene who is a down to business lady, dedicated to making sure that the event goes without a hitch. She might seem a little strict but she kinda has to be so that everything runs on autopilot the big day. She helps you choose the linens, the colors, sets up appointments and handles all your questions and requests. Our wedding package with Jacaranda had the best value in the area for what you get, which makes it in my opinion a major contender for your wedding business in Broward. Thank you for going above and beyond and making me feel like everything was under control, and getting things done! Darlene and Mike, thank you for all of your help! We knew we wanted a venue in a nice area, and that was all inclusive. We went with an open bar and a buffet style dinner. All of our guests raved about the food- the southern buffet with the fried chicken was a crowd favorite. The Caribbean buffet stations paella was delicious and unforgettable. So, I got married here about a year ago.....and every time I hang with a friend or family member who was there, the freakin food always comes up....not my suit...not her dress....nope.....the AWESOME food....and the incredible amount.....no really...no one....NO ONE will leave UNstuffed.....the setup....from the Happy Hour open bar and Appetizers, Which is Amaze, to the main room services.........did I mention Seconds.....yep.....they comes around and offer re-fills on main entrees....CRAZY !!!! We had a group of 22 here to celebrate three birthdays. It took forever to get glasses of water and even longer for the waiter to take our orders. Over 4o minutes to get our meal. The waiter didn't even know who ordered what, many orders were messed up. Five people didn't even get their meal with the rest of us. These five people had to wait while their meal was then made. One lady was told she didn't order anything, and she had told the waiter two times what she wanted. Two people were served just their sandwich, no fries. After waiting 15 minutes they had to request them again. They served two people salad with no dressing, took 10 minutes to get it. Every month we celebrate someone's birthday, this was the worst time ever. We were there three hours till everyone was served. The head waiter said we won't charge you for your drinks, out of 22 people only four had coffee, everyone else had water. How fair was that. This is the worst managed place ever to eat, the worst service ever. Our waiter must have been new, certainly did not know how to take orders and get everything straight. He even had the checks all mixed up. Our group will never go there again. read more

The venue in itself is so beautiful and the level of service we received from Darlene and Chasity was beyond amazing. Their flexibility with creating menus was just what we needed for our Caribbean Wedding and their assistance throughout the whole planning process was very professional. On the day of my wedding, both Darlene and Chasity helped to calm my nerves as it was raining and I was unsure if I'd have my dream wedding outside. Attended a wedding of a friend today and thought the ceremony area was set up very tastefully and very guest friendly and the ceremony was just beautiful. The cocktail area that we were ushered into was done nicely and the cut fruit; cheeses; strawberries; veggies and dip as well as crackers was done very nicely as well and the open bar was great but when I ordered an ice tea I had to wait for the pitcher to be brought from the kitchen as they had not thought of having non-alcoholic beverages for those of us that did not want to drink and mimosas had to be taken in a champagne toast glass and they would not allow a wine goblet to be filled. Otherwise the nibbling area was well-suited for drinks and waiting while the ceremony area was turned into the reception area. The wedding reception area was done very nicely but the buffet food stations were few and required long waits in order to partake of what was offered. The buffet salads were not replenished in a reasonable amount of time and bagels were in short supply as well as cream cheese when I got to the station that was self-serve. After placing food on my plate and returning to my assigned table I found the wait staff folding napkins and I remarked that it would be nicer if they used their time to replenish the missing food at the buffet station but I was initially ignored and then the waiter brought out a plate of cream cheese. Getting refills of water and coffee was almost impossible and we had to take the flasks off the wait stands and fill our own coffee until a waiter finally showed to do his duty before he disappeared once again and then I had the misfortune of having the Banquet Manager come to my table to tell me off for telling his staff to restock the buffet station and accuse me of using vulgar language while he continued his mentally imbalanced tirade. I could not believe that he would come to my table; distort what I had said and accuse me of using improper language without even asking me what had happened to warrant my exchange with his staff. Very poor customer relations and respect for individuality indicative of the old school Plantation, Florida mentality that treats visitors to their establishment as commoners and not as equals in every aspect of everyday life. If this is how they treat their guests I would hate to be in their employ and I would have second thoughts of ever going to their establishment for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner or ever using them for any affair that I need to plan for. read more

I had my daughter's sweet fifteen parties on June 17, 2018, and I would never recommend this place. I believe they have friends give them a good rating because the place is not worth 1 star. Here is a list of all the things that happened to me and the disorganization by both Darlene and Chasity the ladies that are in charge of the catering department assume no responsibility only interested in getting your money. Darlene has been there forever and she should know better Chasity has been there for about a year she has no excuse. I paid for the platinum package because I wanted to have a nice party. 1. I had my daughter's recital on June 14, 2018, at first I was told by Chasity we could stay one or two hours within the first hour they turn the air-conditioner off and Ms. Chasity told me we must leave because her husband and kids were waiting for her and she needs it to close the place. As we left we didn't see anyone outside. 2. The day of the event came and we were supposed to star at 6:30 I was there at 4:30 and the main table had tomato sauce all over the skirt and it was very visible and to make it worse I had to pay extra to have this table properly dressed and it was not done. When I complained I got attitude back like they were doing in me a favor but neither Darlene nor Chastity wanted to assume any responsibility. 3. The skirts on the buffet tables were dirty, stained, not ironed, and they were pretty wrinkled, again I complained and they got even more upset with me. 5. The light bulbs were out that day and they were changing them at the last minute. Some of the light bulbs broke in the middle of the stage and I had to call Chasity to get someone to pick up the broken glass which needed to be done before my guests arrived they had no excuse because there was no event in my room prior to mine so no excuse not to have the place cleaned. 6. I paid a company for my own tablecloth napkins because what they offered as far as tablecloth and napkins are old washed and discolored. I also had bought my own chargers. 7. If you want to have a slideshow they do not provide you with a projector nor a screen you must rent the screen from them as per Darlene is 75 dollars if you want to rent it and bring your own projector. 8. My guests were rushed from the cocktail hour because Ms.Chasity was in a hurry to end my party. 9. They turned the air conditioning off and my guests began sweating Ms. Chasity was nowhere to be found so my brother in law had to find someone who we believe is the manager and he lowered the air conditioning. 10. The deserts we got were old and tasted pretty bad. 11. I had to choose one of the two bakeries they offer and my cake was delivered the day before the party I do not know where the cake was kept it was dried however the outside decoration was beautiful but the cake inside was so hard that everyone left it on their plate and could not eat it. Therefore, I recommend you please check out other places because I paid 100 dollars per person and the service they provided was not good. The waiters and waitresses have nothing to do with my complaint. My complaint is about the attitude, rudeness the poor organization, and service I received from Chastity and Darlene. Furthermore, once you pay they don't care, and yes you pay for the air you breathe at Jacaranda.
