I was in last night around 10 pm. We ordered 2 ultimate cheeseburger combos. When we got home and stared to eat the meal we noticed the fries were cold and the burgers were dried out , we live just down the street so there is no way the fries whole have gotten cold, I should have checked before we left the drive through. I must say that this was re worst burger meal I have ever had . Knowing the items were cold and dry why would they ever have served them ? I was just at this Jack in the box in Twin Lakes FW and they practice company service instead of customer service. Company service is where you cater to the company and you get charge for the pleasure I ordered an ultimate cheeseburger meal. No one asked about the kind of fries I wanted. I won't eat straight fries except at Burger King. I mentioned wanting curly fries and they wanted to charge me another .60 for the pleasure. Then I had noticed after I'd ordered about the $12 special that would have given me everything I'd wanted without a hassle. They'd already charged me $17+ for the meal with straight fries and wanted to add another .60 so my meal would have been over $18 in the end. When I pointed out the $12 meal that had everything in it. She said I couldn't get that now. That's company service not customer service. At least with customer service you get something for your money. With company service you pay to eat what they're willing to give you. I overpaid by about $6. I live on VA benefits and social security. I can't afford to be overcharged. Stay away if you value your being treated appropriately and not overcharged. Tonight I ordered an Ultimate Cheeseburger. And after several attempts of ordering a "sourdough jack with cheese, but sub chicken for beef". The combative mgr told me shed give me a grilled sourdough chicken sandwich . I replied that I dont care how you ring it up or what I pay, but I would like a Sourdough jack with cheese , but with chicken. She refused to entertain this and instead gave me an extremely dry piece of chicken in between two slices of sourdough. For just under $10 a sandwich.... I am absolutely shocked and will never go back to Jack n the box. 2 sandwiches for 10$ a piece and 1 was mediocre, the other was thrown away. We can get a $10 chicken sandwich or burger at Red Robin or the Ram.... and it's 10 times better. The current staff are inept and there seems to never be a manager on site. Calls to the store go unanswered to a full voice-mail box. If you do use the drive-thru, check your bag(s) before leaving because they short customers all the time. The straw that broke my back? A grossly overfilled cup of soda spilled into car. The drive thru girl didn't even know the new employee who was filling drinks. But even so.. who fills a cup to the rim for drive thru? The owner must have a time machine: he went to the future and brought back people from Idiocracy to work at this JITB. they're literally so smoothbrained they don't even include regular toppings included in a meal when you order it as-is. you can watch an episode of your favorite show while waiting in line, and I'm pretty sure the entire evening crew is on quaaludes. Ordered 6 tacos - 4 of which ended up having nothing in them. Took them back the kids working were all playing with their phones - the manager was gone. They said they could not give a refund for the 4 tacos I handed them back to look at, and to come back at 6 am when the manager gets in. I had them call the manager for permission to give me a refund and they did, she told them to tell me to come back at 6am when she gets in to talk about a refund. I will bring the 4 tacos back - I have reached out to corporate because of the cell phones around the food as well as the poor customer service, I don't blame the kids, I will hold the manager accountable for their actions as well as her's. I can't believe we were going to be charged just over $16 for a large milkshake and chicken club sandwich. We kept arguing that there was a mistake. This evening, I paid over $26 for four items: two loaded tiny tacos ($10.38 for both) and two Quad Bacon Cheesy Combos ($13.98 for both), plus tax, totaling $26.82. I had three kids to feed at home and a broken fridge that I can't replace for another day or two, so I figured, why not treat the kiddos? I was in a hurry and didn't check the food until I got home and the kids pointed out that the burgers were singles, not "quads," the fries were cold, and the "loaded" tiny tacos were NOT loaded whatsoever, but they were burnt. I tasted one and it was like burnt cardboard. I tried to call the business half a dozen times without success, so I drove back down, going, once again, through the drive-through. I told the person on the other end of the microphone that I was mad and wanted to speak with a manager. When I got to the drive-through window, the heavy-set Hispanic woman, probably in her late 20's or 30's, told me there was no manager there. I told her the food was terrible, plus I'd been overcharged. She just looked at me like "what do you want ME to do about it?." I asked her what her name was and she refused to give it to me. I then told her I would be posting a negative review on Yelp and had already taken pics of the four items and the receipt. She told me, in broken English, to "do what you have to," and closed the window on me. I have been ordering from this Jack in the Box since early 2010, shortly after I moved into the area. I don't ever want to order ANYTHING from Jack in the Box again. Bad customer service, bad food AND getting ripped off on the price to boot? BAD business. Like yea i get it no one wants to deal with rude customers but all i ask is bring some good energy to the people your serving and go above and beyond. This place is totally mismanaged and to say they have horrible customer service is an understatement. They straight up refused to give me the meal I paid for. I ordered from here through DoorDash for pickup. Waited in the drive through line which took forever and once I got to the speaker they said the couldn't find my order so they asked me to repeat it. Once I got to the window they tried to charge me so I told them again that this was a pick up and showed the receipt. Who I assume was a manager kept saying it was not in their system and trying to charge me for the entire order a second time. I refused and instead asked what I can do from here to get my order that I already paid for. She told me to wait in the parking lot for about 5 min to see if it comes through... So i asked if they were going to come out and let me know or if I should come into the lobby and she says to come inside. I try to do what she says but the doors are locked, so after knocking someone different comes to the door and it's clear there was 0 communication with the rest of the staff about what she just told me to do. The employee even tries to tell me I have to go back through the 20 min drive-through I just came from. I recount the issue for the 5th time now and the employee runs back and forth to relay it to the manager who refuses to come out herself. The employee then tells me that they can't give me the order and to cancel it through DoorDash to receive a refund. First, why not give me the food that I have extensive proof that I paid for? It's not my fault your system is not functioning correctly. Second, why not at least tell me from the beginning that I must request a refund from DoorDash instead of wasting an extra 30 min of my time to give me the run around and lie to my face. I don't eat fast food often. And it's primarily due to the experience I received today at this Jack In The Box location at 10:30am on Saturday the 23rd. (Specifics added for management if they care to even do anything about the situation. The drive through was moderately busy for a Saturday morning so I assume that's going to be the excuse for the overly horrible customer service. The drive through attendant taking the orders was rude, inconsiderate, obnoxious and flat out disrespectful. I wish I had it recorded for proof. Pulled to the window to get the food, NOT A SINGLE WORD was said to us. She open the window, took my card, closed the window, came back open the window looking away handing me my receipt and card and when I grabbed it the window shut again. Window opens again, hands me three bags of food and as the window begins to close again I look at her with a smile and say "oh you have a nice day too!" And she looks shocked and says "yeah you too" and that was the ONLY thing she said to me the whole time. Now reading this you may think, oh he must have pissed then off or something. Let me start off by saying that every single time I have stopped in late at night to order something for myself, the night crew has ALWAYS been friendly and accurate. However, ANYTIME during normal hours that I have been there to order food for more than one person, I have always been shorted on my order. If there ever was an argument that fast food employees do not deserve $15 an hour, this place is the best reason as to why they probably don't. Every single time I have gone there and have ordered food for my family I have been shorted. That is not even an exaggeration, it is every single time. When it happened, I would just let it go and consider that they may have been busy and mistakes do happen... But EVERY SINGLE TIME? Tonight I went there after having not been there for months due to the last horrible experience. I figured I'd give it another shot. I ordered 6 burgers and they shorted me 3 of them. It wasn't just missing a fry or something, it was 3 out of 6 burgers did not make it to my bags. I went back (left my burger that I was blessed to receive at home because I left in a hurry) and drove all the way back. The manager did make the three new burgers that he had forgot to give me, but when I asked to be compensated with a warm burger since mine was cold because I had to come back, he flatly refused citing store policy. OMG! I've been to this place MANY times. Always drive-thru. I never expect amazing service, but tonight it was appalling! From the time we got in line to when we left was 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES. For drive-thru. 28 of those were waiting in line (before and after ordering). The guy at the window seemingly can not multitask. He's incapable of helping the customers at the window and talking orders at the same time. He literally went back and forth. When my husband mentioned the wait time, he said "Sorry. Ok. When I walked in yesterday evening, I felt like I stepped into an igloo. I know it's summer, and don't get me wrong: I love A/C on hot summer days as much as the next person, but they were kinda pushing it for the evening hours, which is when I visited. Turn it down. Apart from that, I waited about 10 minutes in line because some family ordered quite possibly everything on the value menu. But, that's not Jack's fault. The lady behind the counter was nice and took my order correctly. After paying, I walked around and took some pictures for Yelp as I was waiting for my order. Note the chair picture. They're all really beat up and need to be replaced. The dining area cleanliness is something this location has a problem with. Whenever I visit, either the tables, floor, or soda machine area is dirty. One thing this location has improved on over the years is the dining area décor. It used to be literally 6 posters with two red lines crossing on the ceiling. The rest of the room was white. Now there's a lot more stuff to catch your eye. Another great thing is that this location has a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, where you can get 100+ soda flavors. One thing that took me by surprise is that the cashier brought me my order to my table. I'm guessing that's part of Jack's commitment to be better than the rest of the crowd. And I'm liking it. I tried the "Jack's Brewhouse Bacon Burger". It was a 4 Star burger. As usual, presentation is nothing like you see in pictures. Only Taco Bell down the street comes close to that. $5.79 is an OK price.. I've had better burgers for about the same price. The 4 for $4 Combo Meal is great.
