We called ahead to the Napa…read moreAutoparts in Bloomsburg who told us they would sell us the battery, but Mausteller's next door would have to install it for $10. Napa seemed to have a relationship with Mausteller's. When the Napa guys were testing the battery, the guys from Mausteller's came over and offered their tester that would load the battery for a more accurate test. They tested the batter to verify it was bad and then quickly installed it. During the installation, they used a device to keep the electronics in the van from losing their memory averting the need to reprogram settings. Randy, Bud, and Scott were very personable, thorough, and explained things well. Scott was extremely careful while installing the battery to ensure nothing was damaged. Excellent service, courteous people, and very engaging.

After a day I saw that there was some leaking of fluid from underneath. I brought it up to them and they said that they saw that leak. I'm still confused to why they didn't at least inform me before they gave me the car back. They went aead and checked it and said it wasn't leaking. Next thing you know 5 months later my car transmission was shot again and I had to get rid of it. Terrible service

Shoutout to THE NEW GARAGE on 11 next to Enterprise-- HIGHLY RECOMMEND I'm a little late posting…read morethis, but I needed A LOT of work done on my VW, and the VW dealership I working with (JACK METZER - also HIGHLY RECOMMEND bc they are always very fair and accommodating) was super booked up, which I understood (I literally waited until the 11th hour to get this work done- see photo ‍ ). I needed tires installed, an alignment, rear brakes & rotors, and an oil change. The New Garage invited me to bring in my car that day so they could take a look and show me exactly what I needed - and didn't need. After doing so, they explained everything to me in great detail, answering my numerous questions, and even spoke to my dad (an auto enthusiast who, even at 39, I respect above everyone on all things car) on the phone. The mechanics fit me in the schedule immediately following delivery of my VW's new shoes from Tire Rack and had the job completed in a matter of hours. These men were kind, reasonably priced (I called around to get multiple quotes), and very accommodating. I appreciated being treated respectfully and fairly & I highly recommend them!!! You should definitely give these guys your business!!!! You will not regret it....

I started a new used car search in early summer of 2015 as my car was used up, falling apart, and…read morebreaking down far too often (the 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue is not known for its quality). I preferred a Honda or Toyota, but in the Berwick/Bloomsburg/Danville area there is only a Honda deanship. After my initial search in the Bloomsburg/Danville area ranging from new to used to shady dealerships, I ended up at Hawkins Chevrolet. GM dealerships were not high on my list after I suffered a severe service issue at Alexander Family Buick GMC in Bloomsburg, but this was the last stop before having to travel outside of the area. Hawkins recently moved from within Danville to just outside of it on Route 11. New location is sharp looking, but where to park when looking is sometimes an odd situation. First difference between this and other dealerships was Alex, my salesperson, did a computer search for cars that would meet my requirements, saving both of us time. He wanted to show me a used Cruise but none were available in my price range and we ended up at a used Toyota. No forceful sales tactics, test drive was smooth, and they had zero problems with my mechanic looking at the car. Alex gave me a decent price on my trade (wasn't worth much) and price of the car got down to low midrange for its model. Financing got me an amazing rate and didn't sell me any useless extras. I ended up spending slightly more than anticipated but left with a decent car at an ok price after taxes, tags, and fees (these can add up faster than expected.) Overall, I'd return for future car purchases as I was treated fairly, and Hawkins Chevrolet did a good job.

This review is for the "service" that my grandmother received recently at Hawkins Service Center…read moreand the interaction with ther Service Manager, Chris. For the 2nd year in a row, they found an "issue" that apparently HAD to be repaired before passing the annual inspection on her Cruze. Last year, it was a leaky valve cover. $300 later, and they passed the inspection. Part was less than $10 at any online retailer, which makes over 1.5 hours of labor at their $155/hr rate. Highly suspicious. This year, they call her with an $875 bill for a leaking oil filter housing gasket, which they stated had to be completely replaced. This part was between $65-130 online, so... 4 hours of labor? Brah. She has been a faithful Chevrolet owner since the 60's. I remember her bringing home a 1985-ish Chevrolet Celebrity in the worst green color imaginable. that car ran forever. Treating long standing customers with high pressure sales in a repair environment, trying to convince them that there is no alternative is terrible, and on about the same level as those that scam the elderly online and over the phone. I'm glad that I happened to have been home visiting when this happened to send her to an actual reputable garage to get it looked at. Remember that there are other dealers that have the make or model you want, and that can do whatever service you need. Shop around and stay away from these rip-off artists.
