Since the change over to this new ownership the quality has gone down, but the facade looks good. The equipment is not maintained and the counter shuts off making you pay an additional $3 to restart. My Explorer was left with dirty tires because the handle to activate the cleaner was broken (see video). I ended up paying $18 and left with dirty wheels and tires. For the same price price I could have paid the local car wash to do it for me instead of me doing it myself. For years, I've been using a local drive-thru car wash once a week on an older car. Before Covid, the price was $6. Last week, they wanted to charge $20, so I looked for a self-wash and found Jack's. First time here today and it's a 5 star experience because of the sprayer. The power washer hose spreads out in a nice diameter that cleans the car a lot better than other facilities power sprayer. I can honestly clean my car with $5 easily. They have a quality sprayer and establishment is clean. read more

One of the worst car washes that I've ever been to. A lot of the stuff didn't work to wash the car like the tire wash and vacuum was terrible. It left my car look dirty instead of clean. There's a better wash on Talbert by the Walmart I would recommend them. Would not recommend this one and never coming back here. Waste of my time and money. read more

Very easy to use self car wash in HB. They take cash(in the form of coins and have machines to dispense them) and cards (both tap and swipe) it is open 24 hrs so if if you and Uber driver and need to clean a mess left by a rude passenger it's there for you read more

So mad I was charged $15 for what I expected to be a $3 car wash. Saw the charge and talked to the oil shop that is owned by the same people (which I read). I was instructed to email uwashcarwash@gmail.com but was told I was supposed to push a button next to the credit card reader that says "stop" in order to not be charged for the full amount. Intuitively, like multiple other people writing the review, I instead moved the wash dial to "start". Like most car wash, makes sense to stop the machine after $3 and have people pay more to extend the time. Anyway, thought email would be a waste of time and I would not get a response but I got a phone call within 7 hours! They are sending me a refund! And the owner was so nice about it. So glad this worked out because I appreciate their powerful wash compared with the wash on Bolsa Chica and Heil. I was going to stop using this place because of what it seemed like unfair credit card practice but the world order has been restored. I used this car a few time for the vacuum and it works good. But when i went to wash my car my credit card was charged $18 instead of $4.25 displayed on there machine. This company is a scam. Washed company vehicle at midnight. Took 10 minutes total, which is no big deal, since I'll be compensated my money back from the company. So I started by "rinsing" with a gun that shot out watery soap onto vehicle, then used the (surprisingly soft) brush that created even more soap. And finally used the power wash to finish (the power wash has pretty decent power to it, might I add). So it took a total of 10 minutes, which the machine tells me that it cost me $5 total, on my credit card. I go on the bank app to take a screenshot of my card charge to send to my company, but noticed on my bank account it only charged me $3 instead of $5. Since they advertise $1 car wash if under 3 minutes (between 8pm-6am). I guess they offer a discount no matter HOW LONG you wash your vehicle, which is a nice surprise. Happy customer! Will be definitely coming here to wash the company vehicle whenever needed. read more

Has the price been increased lately? Have used for years and in past $4 gave me 8 minutes (I think) which was doable on my suv. Last couple of times the $4 gets me 6:40 minutes. Always like doing wash myself....know if self wash on Bolsa Chica is the same? Same owner? Not a big deal but not loving the price on most everything going up. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the bays, the extreme water pressure from the guns, and the amount of time given to wash my vehicle/vacuum. I usually wash my car at this location and the equipment there generally works fine. On 9/2 I used my debit card for $3.00 but my Chase bank account was charged $11.50. FYI, I was using the second bay from the left in case that makes a difference. I filed a dispute through Chase asking for a refund of $8.50. No one picked up the call at (714) 840-2331 which is the number for the Quik Change Lube & Oil at the same location. If the dispute is resolved, I will update this review. Update 9/7: Chase agreed with my dispute and immediately credited me with $8.50. There is another Yelp review from August 2017 that reported a similar problem. I'm thinking someone may have tampered with one or more card readers or done something with the data after the fact. The owner needs to resolve this. Update 3/22/18: I continue to use the car wash at this location and haven't had a problem since last year. I thought that was worth an update. I'm raising them from 1 star to3 stars. read more

This is a decent self-serve car wash, no doubt about it, but something funny going on with the pricing. I have used them twice. The first time I used my debit card and everything was fine, the whole wash cost me all of about $6, maybe. The second time I used the wash was about a week ago and I used my credit card. The wash took about 12 minutes and the timer had about 13 minutes left on it when I put the dial to "thank you" ending the wash. However, my card was charged $14! Unfortunately, there is no way to find out why this happened as there is no contact info for the business owner or anything. For $16 down the street, I can have my car washed for me with a "required" touchless system. I won't be using this self-serve again due to the funny stuff with my credit card here. read more

This is my preferred place to wash my own car. Many of these self-service car washes are in sketchy locations or aren't maintained well. This one is neither. Located in a shopping mall just off Warner, it's near neighborhoods. It's also open 24/7, which is nice. The price is also cheaper the later you go, so that's nice, too. I find it nice to wash my car just before sunset, though it can sometimes be busier. It's fairly inexpensive as well. I can spend ten to fifteen minutes washing my car for only several dollars. There are also parking spots just outside the wash bays where you can dry your car. It has vacuums, sinks and rollers to dry out your chamois. Just beware, this spot can get pretty busy on the evenings and/or weekends. You may have to wait a while to wash your car. read more

I like washing my car. Prefer it. It's about $1 every 2 minutes here but after 1800 it's $1 every 3 minutes. I spend about 20 minutes cleaning my car and it's super clean afterwards. Yeah, you can get cheaper at those places with the machine but I like washing my car with my own hands. read more

Decent equipment. Good music. Tight stalls. Been coming here for a while. Never been bothered until recently. But the apparent "owner" seems to try to rush people through. Trying to get as many cars through as possible for himself i guess. Plenty of other self serve car washes to go to and a full service hand wash down the street for like $16. Pretty neutral review here. I come here quite often. Once a week usually if not more. And it's always been clean, never an issue. I have a full size pick up and it usually takes around 25 mins to soap and rinse. Anyhow, some a-hole decided to wash the mud/sand/rocks off or out of their vehicle and leave it for the next person to deal with (me). I wasn't going to wash my fresh ceramic coating with all that crap in the bay, so I cleaned it myself, on my dime. There's typically no one staffing the facility (not in my experience, I've never seen anyone) so I couldn't ask for credit so I could clean it for them so I could wash my vehicle. I have to say, as far as self-serve car wash places go, this is probably one of the best ones I've ever used. You get 4 minutes for only $2, they have an off-hour special of 3 minutes for a dollar, you can pay by cash or credit card, the spray hose and brush work well and put out plenty of soap, plus they have an overhead music system that plays rock music while you wash your car!
