One star for completing the job. Now, let me explain the one-star rating. After reading all the great reviews about Jack's services, I submitted an estimate request for a move service through his website about two months before my move date. After a week or two, I never received a response, so I decided to call his company number. Jack answered and was very friendly when greeting me. I asked for a quote to move EVERYTHING from one 1bd apt to another within the same apt complex. He broadly asked what larger items I had, and after I responded, he quoted me a min-max price range. He didn't ask for anything else, no specifics, no pics/videos. So, I asked him what all he needed from me that moment. All he said was to send him a text with what we discussed as far as move date, address, and estimated price range. I texted him this info right after we ended the call. Although he didn't ask for it, I took it upon myself to include a list of larger items I thought may need to be shrink wrapped. In the following weeks, I didn't hear from Jack and it was unclear if booking was confirmed. So, I had to follow up with him to confirm booking and start time. Fast-forward to move day, Jack was a whole FIVE hours late from doing another job that ran into my time which is just unacceptable and unprofessional. It was a blatant disregard of my time, and he really left me with no other option but to wait because it's not like I can just hire someone else last minute. When he finally arrived, there was no apology from him, and he still tried to charge me the high end of the price range he quoted. Due to him being so late, my partner and I had already moved what we were able to move ourselves. Jack discounted only $60, and then later tried to charge the $60 to move my already packed clothes... huh?! He tried to say we didn't discuss clothing being moved and that I didn't include it in my text. Huh?! He continued to say I didn't send pics/videos... HUH?! Why wouldn't clothes be included in a residential move. How is clothing different from any of the other items moved. And again, never at any point did he ever ask me to send him pics/videos of items to be moved. As a business, you are responsible for asking your customer all the info you need; you shouldn't be assuming that your customer knows exactly what to provide. It's wild to say that I didn't include clothing in my text and tried to use my text to back him up when he never even asked me to give specifics in that text. I only listed larger furniture items that may need to be wrapped, so of course it wasn't listed in my text; neither was any of the stuff I packed in boxes and bags which he moved with no issue. Make it make sense. He just kept making irrelevant statements and excuses which is just so unprofessional and just wasted more of my time. You were already FIVE hours late and now you're trying to squeeze extra money out of me for no good reason. Additionally, he had also told me there would be two movers including himself, and he literally brought his 15 y/o son as the 2nd mover. Although he worked hard, he's young and inexperienced, so he was hitting items against walls and the doorframe and most likely is not as strong as a full-grown adult male. I also expected my couch to be fully shrink wrapped, but it wasn't, so it got dirty. By the time they were done, I could have done a lot of unpacking had they been on time. For a residential move, I cannot recommend Jack's Junk Removal & More based on the terrible experience I had. read more

Nicole and Jack did a wonderful job of removing the junk in front of my home and removing the trees and stumps from my back yard. They were attentive, paid super close attention to detail, and were extremely friendly. The trees and stumps in my backyard have been bothering me for years now. It felt great to finally find someone who could do the job as others didn't even show up. They ensured to go down to the root to make sure it does not come back. He even picked up the trash that was laying around in my front yard, even though that wasn't apart of the job. He lined up my trash cans evenly and made sure the front of the house looked immaculate. Initial interaction with Jack was great-quick to respond and provide a quote but that's where to stopped. Made an appointment to take a load to the dump for a Thursday morning at 11am. He communicated he was running behind from a flat tire-which I understood and said he would come in about 1.5 hours later. Waited until 2pm then the said it would be around 3pm or a little after. Waited some more then texted him at 415pm when no one showed. Said he hit traffic and would be after 5pm--I was shocked! Why wasn't I the first to get picked up after the tire was fixed and where did he go that he hit traffic? It was awful and I made arrangements to work from home to accommodate this. Gave me a fair price and even handled things with sensitivity due to the fact some items belonged to my daughter that passed away. Jack is the best ...I phoned one day and he was here the next day. I had called several companies, their quotes were too high just to remove one item. Jack quoted me a fair and reasonable price. I was happy to pay him and know that I can call him for all my future removal needs. I agree he is kind,hard worker,fair and fun. He provides so many additional services...too many to list. I work at a dental office and the Dr. I work for bought the practice and the previous dentists didn't clean out all the storage shed with over 40 yrs of misc equipment that is no longer used. I had made an appointment for a Thursday to receive help moving some furniture to my storage and was told by Nicole that she would keep me updated with an arrival time. Thursday afternoon came around and I never heard from anyone. I reached out around 2:30pm to get an update and was told that they were in the middle of a "project". My storage unit closes at a certain time which is why I was requesting help in the early afternoon. I offered to move my moving day to Saturday if it was more convenient for them which she agreed. Saturday morning I was called in to work at the last minute so I asked Nicole if we could reschedule, I was told via text it would be an extra $100 charge and was then completely ignored. Nicole forwarded my calls and ignored my text messages after this. I was finally able to get through after continuing to call and Nicole again told me they were unavailable to help me at the moment because they AGAIN were working on another "project". I was referred to this company by a friend of Jacks and was excited to do business with them.
