Our family loves this cute little ice cream shop! The ice cream is always so delicious but the best part is the warm cinnamon waffle bowl! You can also get a vanilla waffle bowl but cinnamon is definitely the best! The ice cream flavors are amazing as they have new ones every time we go. The buttery bourbon was my favorite.. the kids loved the birthday cake, moose tracks and caramel turtle flavors. The ice cream and waffle bowls are great but the people not so much. The one darker skin girl with curly hair was so disrespectful and rude to us. She was talking nasty about the customers behind the counter and didn't have great customer service. Then the one girl that wears the tuscola shirt started being rude to us to. I'm very disappointed. When we arrived, we found the door locked. As we were walking away in sadness, one of the employees came to unlock it. We walked in thanking them greatly and asking if they were closed, with them said eating that the lobby closes at 7:00 and that since it was only a couple of minutes before they open the door for us. As we peruse the decadent to Flavors and wonderfulness of Frozen unbelievableness, the floodgates opened in about 15 people came walking in behind us. I apologize to the two young boys I've been saying it's okay. See you all ordered the cinnamon bowls which were amazing! The ice cream I got was Grand Central Station which is always unbelievable. I greatly thank the ladies and due to it being past 7:00 I explained to all the other people that they're Lobby closed at 7:00. I then retrieved my happiness in a bowl and retreated to my vehicle. Unfortunately the rest of the group that was behind us decided to sit around in the business for 15 to 20 minutes while they consumed their ice cream. The other girls that work there are always very friendly as well and the waffle cones are always delicious. The past review was out of line and in reality I was 23 going on 3 years old and just got mad because I really wanted a waffle cone lol. I was visiting this area and searched ice cream and this place popped up, and I do not regret giving it a try! It's a nice size building for an ice cream shop and they even have a drive thru! They have 20+ flavors available, so you are almost guaranteed to find something that you like! They have your classic flavors and some that might be new for you! The employees that were there during my visit were so patient and kind as I tried to figure out what I wanted. It was so hard to choose because every sample I tried tasted so good! I finally decided on the flavor that had a cookie dough base with brownie pieces mixed in it for my flavor and I got the chocolate waffle cone for my base. The chocolate waffle cone is made ready to order and it was the best cone I've tasted! It paired perfectly with the ice cream and I think I ate it in record time because it was so good! They're mainly Mayfield ice cream. Nothing super different or special there, but solidily delicious! The BEST thing, and what takes this place to 5-star land is the hot waffle cones. Have them make you a fresh cone and have them mix in vanilla or cinnamon too! Awesome. Just learned that you can actually get 2 different flavors in your cone. I've heard amazing things about the ice cream and homemade waffle cones at this establishment. So of course while visiting Waynesville, we had to go try it out. When we walked in the young lady was very nice as she told us about several flavors. As she was talking, i watched her touch ice cream scoops, counter tops, pens, paper, and even her hair. When my cone was ready, she grabbed the cone with a napkin, used her bare hands to shape the cone (inside and out) and was proceeded to go back into the cooler to get my ice cream. I immediately stopped her reminded her of everything that she'd touched, including my cone, informed her that I did not want that cone, and asked if she could wash her hands and use gloves while preparing my order. She was very courteous and said that she would. She went to the back and returned say that the establishment didn't have any gloves. First of all, that's disgusting. Secondly, how does a place that serves food not have any gloves? Thirdly, this country in in the middle of a pandemic concerning a highly contagious virus and they think it's ok to touch people's food without any protection. As good as this place "may" be, I will never find out. I encourage you all to pay attention to how people handle your food. read more
