I used to travel pretty far to different places, but now I won't go anywhere else. Bryant is an excellent groomer. My two poodles always come back happy, and they look amazing every time. The shop from the outside looks a little dated. The inside looks a little crowded. However, I did not bring Raven to judge the devote. I brought her to be groomed. The young man who took her back was an awesome groomer. He did a head to tail grooming and her nails were perfect. I recommend this grooming facility. I love this spot! I have a long haired Sheppard and she clogs all my drains and makes a mess. I use the self service here and it's a game changer. $20 and they provide the tub with a sprayer nozzle, leads to secure your dog, shampoo, towels, combs, and a dryer. The nice lady working there even stopped and trimmed my Sheppards nails. No clean up other than the usual towels in a basket. Non slip mats for the pups and an apron for you. Perfume spray and bandana included. They are cash only though, u learned that the hard way. But they were so nice about it! read more

I recently took my two dogs in. I had called the day before and was fit right in. I wasn't sure how well one of my dogs would do (he usually gets a bath at home and is crazy around other dogs) but I was told he did great. He was scared at first but she bathed him with our other dog (how sweet and thoughtful). They both came out smelling amazing and their nails were perfect and coat looked great. Absolutely the best customer service! Our 9 year old German Shepard has never been professionally groomed, we have always brushed him ourself or washed him ourself. So we were definitely skeptical about how well he would do if someone else groomed him, but he did so well! They did a fantastic job of getting his undercoat fur and shaping his face. If I could, I honestly would leave 0 stars for a rating, as my husband and I were so appalled by what we saw. We had an appointment this past Saturday to have our dog groomed for the first time at Jackie's. We walked in, and the groomer clearly did not hear us arrive. She (someone with colored/dyed hair), was in the middle of grooming a small white dog. She was holding the dog upright by his/her front legs telling the dog to "stop", repeatedly. She then said the to the dog (as the dog is yelping, twisting & writhing), that she was "not letting go". We were so disturbed by what we saw, that we immediately walked back out and have made arrangements with another groomer. I feel horrible for that dog. There's no way I would leave my dog there to be treated that way. read more

Decided to switch groomers since Petsmart is so expensive and was really pleased with Jackie's Grooming. The ladies really seem to care about the animals and have a good knowledge of different techniques and styles. The outside and inside appearance leave something to be desired but the prices are great. read more

I've taken my Goldendoodle gunner to Jackies for 5 years. Karen has been his groomer the entire time. She has always done a fantastic job on gunner. When you read the about us section on jackies web page. What it says under Karen's name, is exactly her. She is always soft spoken, kind, gentle with gunner. She does take alot of pride in grooming gunner. Sometimes as customers we can be difficult to deal with when it comes to our babies. I was alittle on Gunners last visit with Karen. DO NOT LET HEATHER TOUCH YOUR DOG! Ok, this happened once before but to happen again is just too much. I have to say something now. My family has used Jackie's grooming for years (when Jackie was the original owner) and Dana used to do all our animals but ever since Heather started working there, I'm afraid to take any dog there. The first time Heather cut my uncle and grandmas dog, he came back with a HUGE gash behind his ear. She didn't tell us about it at all but we figured it was an accident. I started to trim him until his gash healed but I am not a professional groomer so we took him back a couple months later. Heather told my uncle that she had to muzzle him and I was curious as to why when he has never given me trouble when I cut him. When he came home, he jumped up on my legs and when I went to pet his head, he cowered and shook. I inspected him to see what was wrong because he NEVER does that. He's a playful little guy. Lo and behold, not only one cut but several. By his ear, his leg and even his genitals were gashed! When my aunt called to complain we were asked to bring in the dog. Why would I bring in the dog to a place he's obviously traumatized by? Apparently pictures and the word of a long time customer wasn't enough. NEVER coming back again!!! I'm not sure why I've never reviewed this place. I want to take the time to apologize for that. My little guy Buzz has been coming here for as long as I can remember. My family and I moved to Manteca about 12 years ago and before that he went to poodle parlor. During a brief period we would take Buzz to pet smart because it was easy and fast. He would always come back in a bad mood and a little scared. One morning while he was at the groomers we received a phone call telling us Buzz could no longer go to pet smart because of his temper. He isn't the most friendly and VERY untrusting. It takes him awhile to warm up to people so I could understand why He is a rescue and is very territorial with his family. When we brought him in I was just a kid in high school and at the time all I knew was that he would get great haircuts from here. They never told us not to come back, they would always take him in with open arms. When I started driving I would come and pick him up and he would be sitting on an office chair waiting for me. It always makes me feel really good knowing he is taken care of here. He'll be 18 in September and I don't trust very many people with him. Yesterday before he went to the groomers I had some anxiety about letting him go. His hair was long, pretty matted because of how long it was, and to be honest, he looked like a dirty mop. My room mate told me when he dropped him off they were excited to see him and greeted him by name. Upon arrival, I could see my handsome boys eyes again! They always have a way of taking him from dirty mop to new puppy. Anytime I have friends ask me where to take their dogs to get groomed I tell them about Jackie's. I've trusted them for years with my best friend and they know him by name. Buzz isn't scared to come here, and he'll willingly walk into the back with them which lets me know that they take great care of him. I truly am thankful for it and all the wonderful people who have worked with Buzz over the years and will continue to work with him. :) read more
