This is a small grooming shop with 1 groomer. He is so good at grooming though it is worth the extra time the groom takes. My Standard Poodle has been getting so many compliments around town and at our dog sports Dock Diving competition. Even other groomers are saying this is his best groom ever and I have to keep coming here, he looks awesome! My boy can be shy but was prancing around happy at pick up. We will be regulars for our summer cuts while we compete then do some fun, longer grooms in the winter

Who says short haired doggies can't be pampered!

Lack of communication. I've called a few times to book a spa, but never got a response. So my pup never went back, sad that they lost us as a customer.

Keeping up grooming a husky is a constant struggle. Koda's coat got out of hand, so we brought him to Bark Ave for a wash and dry. He came back so silky, soft and clean, I can't stop hugging him. Great job, will be back!

Knox. 3 yr old mini poodle.

We love Bark Avenue. We moved to the area a year ago and tried 3 different places to get our mini poodle groomed. Mostly to see which places provided the best haircut and value. This place won hands down. They are friendly and make sure to send a text reminder a day or so before the appointment. They also text you when the pooch has finished being pampered. For a dog groomer, it's pretty clean. The dogs all seem well cared for. Knox always comes home handsome and smelling amazing. I like their holiday spa specials. $12 bucks for several extras including teeth care and nail trim/file. We have to take Knox, because of his breed, every month or so. A full groom runs us about $75. It's not cheap but it's worth it considering the less competent places aren't much less expensive.

She's quite happy, as am i!

So I'm a stocktonian and I've hit quite a few spots here in town to find someone who can groom my pom teddy bear style. NO ONE has managed to do it even close to right. Always too blunt around her face. I thought it wouldn't hurt to try Bark Ave after seeing their pictures of their cuts. They did AMAZING. Like wow amazing. They managed to tame my lil lioness back to her teddy bear self and she looks splendid! I have found my new go-to salon and already can't wait to take her back in. Also, lily came out smelling like flowers and feeling softer than she's ever felt. That's some magic shampoo lol. Thanks guys!

after they shaved my schnauzer, he is unrecognizable
    Cari B.

I've been bringing my mini schnauzer here for about a year now with no complaints and I've decided to stop bringing my dog to this groomer. The last two times i 've brought my dog the haircut just seemed a little careless. Schnauzers have specific haircuts because they have beards, "skirts", and eyebrows. After growing my dogs hair/beard for the past year, he was completely shaven & unrecognizable. I emailed the company via the website & never received a response. I have attached before and after pictures, ALL SCHNAUZER OWNERS PLEASE BE AWARE.

$65 for a doggie bowl cut... I could've done better at home.

Made an appointment for our Cavalier based off the good reviews. When we brought her in for her appointment, the person told us we needed her immunization records, which was never mentioned when we scheduled the appointment. They called our vet to verify then gave us a hard time about her not having bordatella even though we never board her. We explained what type of cut we wanted and left her for a couple hours. We called back and were told she'd be ready in 30 minutes so we headed over and got there 30 minutes later. When opening the door, the lady yelled out saying she wasn't ready and that we need to leave. There was no need to be so rude, and why are there chairs in a waiting area if they don't want people to wait inside? Once she brought out our dog, we immediately noticed something was wrong. The groomer didn't blend anything in the back of her head and it looks almost like a bowl cut. When we asked about it, the lady said it was supposed to be like that, which is BS, no haircut should look like that. We couldn't stay and argue for her to fix it because we had to leave to pick up our daughter from school. All in all, we are very disappointed and will not be returning to pay $65 for a haircut that look worse than something I could do on my own.

    Poor baby was injured!

I wish I could give this place higher stars but my experience wasn't the best. My dog has never been injured at any groomer and this time, she was nicked! The shave pattern on her coat was visible and the fade was poorly done. I was quoted an estimate over the phone based on her weight and did the yelp checkin but ended up getting charged $30 more than expected. In summary, I paid for an overpriced service and my poor dog was injured.

Cute puppy cut to fix the home chop job that we had to do on her face.

The ladies are awesome! My hard to cut puppy was no match for these ladies they got it done and she looked so cute. Thank you for making the extra effort to take care of her. The previous groomer I took her to could not cut her face so she was left looking like a lion

    One happy girl-Zoe

First visit was a success. Zoe looks & smells amazing. Thank you Bark Avenue for a great 1st time experience & for the first time free teeth brushing! I recommend to all my family & friends to give Bark Avenue a try. Friendly & helpful staff. At the time of setting up appointment it was nice that they said up front that they would need to see current immunization records. I didn't have a copy but they were able to confirm with vet over the phone. Lucky for us they were able to accommodate us on short notice. Thank you Bark Avenue. Zoe will be back.

Freshly groomed. Look at that cute scarf!

Barkley got razor rash once & had a problem after his anal glads expressed long ago at Pampered Pet which resulted in vet visit both times, but other than those two episodes, I was satisfied and just wrote those two problems off as flukes until....I took my teacup Maltese there last September (2025). His first couple appointments were fine, but the last, he looked terrible, like a different dog. People who saw him afterwards thought it WAS a different dog, an old dog, not my cute little 9 month old Maltese. When I brought him in, I told Michelle I didn't want his face touched much at all, to leave his "mustache" and wanted his ear hair trimmed shorter, like a puppy. Well, they did the exact opposite; they left the ears long and SHAVED his face. He wasn't matted or anything. I paid the bill, including a $20 tip BEFORE they brought him out to me. I was in shock when they handed him to me. I left and on the drive home, I couldn't even look at him. But the more I did, the madder I got. When I got home, I immediately called Michelle and said, "you know I'm not one to complain and never have, but I was furious on the grooming job. That they did the exact opposite of what I asked and that he looked terrible." She said I could bring him back in and they'd trim his ears shorter, like I had asked, but the damage was done. I knew they couldn't glue his cute mustache and whiskers back on. All I saw when I looked at him was a dog that didn't look a thing like my cute 9 month old puppy that I had brought in. I told her I was too mad to bring him back in and I was just furious. She just said oh, okay. No offer of any compensation or anything. I had been a customer for over a decade. His fur, of course, has since grown back and he looks cute again. He is now a year and 5 months old and I take him to Muddy Paws on 10th Street now, where we have been extremely pleased AND they are a little less expensive and we've had much, much better experience every single time and much better cut than he ever had at Pampered Pet. Sorry, but it's the truth. I won't go back there. I don't know if there was miscommunication between Michelle and the groomer or what because I did tell Michelle the cut I wanted: face left alone, only cleaned up a little, leave his mustache/whiskers and trim the ears much shorter and the exact opposite was done. He was the first appointment of the day, maybe she was still half asleep, I don't know.

Her attitude was disgusting, and the way she spoke to me made it clear she has no respect for pet parents. Please do not send your babies here -- I honestly worry about how they might treat the pets when owners aren't around. I had a 10:30 appointment and even confirmed the day before, asking them to note that I would arrive closer to 10:45 because of a doctor's appointment. The person on the phone said yes, but clearly never bothered to make a note. At 10:35 I got a call accusing me of being late, and Jasmyne made it very clear that if I wasn't there by 10:45, they wouldn't take my dog. At exactly 10:45, I got an email saying my appointment was canceled. I rushed, arrived at 10:48 -- just THREE minutes later -- and Jasmyne flat out refused to take my dog in, with a nasty attitude to my face. This is NOT how you treat paying customers or their pets. Absolutely unprofessional and heartless. I will never bring my dog here again and strongly warn every pet parent -- stay far away from Jasmyne and PetSmart Grooming in Tracy.

Two weeks ago, my dog suffered a broken blood vessel in his eye due to a grooming harness that was not adjusted properly. While being dried, he attempted to jump off the grooming table. Although the groomer caught him, there was a moment when he was left hanging by the harness. As a professional grooming business, I would expect staff to anticipate that dogs may try to jump and ensure proper safety measures are in place. My niece picked him up and contacted me right away. When she sent me a photo of his eye, I was heartbroken. After I called and left a voicemail, an employee named Carla returned my call and initially stated that my dog had arrived with the injury. If that were true, I question why grooming services would have been performed on a dog with a visibly red and swollen eye. Later, after reviewing the video footage, Carla called back and acknowledged that she could see where the injury occurred. She advised me to take my dog to the veterinarian and stated that the expenses would be covered. I did exactly that and provided both the veterinarian's notes and my receipt. I only requested reimbursement for the grooming service ($100) and the veterinary bill ($125). However, the owner has since claimed that the incident was my dog's fault and has refused responsibility. If you love your pet, I encourage you to carefully consider this experience before bringing them here. My goal is simply to prevent another dog from suffering the way my Teddy has. PS-They don't deserve a single star. It's the lowest level you can select with Yelp.
