I go to skyline next door for all my mechanical work so I swung by and asked Jack for an estimate. The price seemed extremely reasonable, so we made an appointment. He fixed the bent parts good as new, perfectly matched the paint on an 18 year old car, and even buffed the headlights at no charge before I picked it up. On March 30 2026, I took my 2001 E320 Mercedes to Jack's to have him look at some pretty bad corrosion at the bottom of the passenger side front door and to address several small body scratches and a few minor dings on the rear bumper. Jack recommended the door be replaced if he could find a replacement. He went on line immediately and found a door. He quoted a price somewhere between 700 to 800 dollars for the whole job. I accepted and he ordered the door that fortunately was completely free of corrosion. He transferred all of the door electrics and window mechanism to the new door. The door fit was perfect and all systems worked. All of the minor paint blemishes were touched up and he polished the headlights to remove the lens haze that occurs on older vehicles. The price was just over $700 and the car looked brand new. I have used Jack before and he is so pleasant to work with and he always goes over and above with his work. My rear door glass on Subaru Outback 2015 was shattered, and part of the frame was damaged. Safelite said replacing the glass alone would cost $700+, and I needed to get the frame fixed first by an auto body shop. I took the car to Jack's Auto Body. Jack said it would be cheaper if we replace the door itself, rather than fix the frame. He ordered a Subaru rear door (same color) from an "auto recycler", and replaced the whole door in four hours, for much less than the glass plus repair would cost. Jack himself is a wonderful guy. If you've been reading reviews of auto body shops, you know how the story goes: I decided to introduce the side of my car to the wall in a Costco parking garage on a particularly tight corner. I was beyond mortified by what I had done, especially since I usually consider myself a good driver. Getting the damage fixed at Jack's was an amazingly simple and easy process. I headed over on a Saturday for a free estimate and Jack personally met me and gave me an estimate on the spot with no wait. He was also willing to leave the bumper as-is and just buff out what he could since there were only two scratches on the bumper and redoing the bumper would cost significantly more. The price was several hundred cheaper than the other quote I got from another well-reviewed body shop, so I decided to go with Jack's. I dropped my car off on a Tuesday morning and Jack told me it would be ready within a few days. I got the call from Jack early today on a Thursday so it only took him two days! The damage looks like it was never there and Jack was even able to buff out most of the scratches on the bumper. Overall, a super easy process that I hopefully won't have to repeat, but if I do decide to introduce my car to any more parking garage walls, I'll definitely be back. read more

We was referred to Jack's about two year s ago by a friend, we had a tree fall on our car over night the hood, front windscreen and roof got damaged, our car was only 2 years old out of the shop brand new . It was a pretty big job and jack made it seem like he could get our car back to a two year old new car. Now I will say the paint is not easy to bland so he did a great job on that... now as for communication and keeping us up to date, it was extremely poor. We had to reach out to find out what was going on. I would have to stop by just to get a clear up date and as I stoped by each time I had to point out damages and other things what we already explained to him that needed repairing that came from the tree, from scratch's along the car to the mirror covers all the way to the rubber seals and plastic covers that go between the bottom of the front windscreen and the hood of the car. These are very big and noticeable things and I had to continuously point out that the insurance covered all these things to be replaced brand new and he was trying to get by with using the same damaged an out of shape also discolored plastic coverings " the discoloration came from the removal and putting back via the plastic cover where you can see they had to band it in the middle and you see where it creased and turn white and to rubber seals that he removed and put back and this did not lay flat or fit snugly any more" and to this day he none of that has been replaced even though I bright it to his attention at least three times when I stopped in to get updates and see the progress of the car. Then it came to the inside of the car because he had to replace the interior roof... the plastic guards that go alone the corners of the interior did not sit snugged in like they should have I brought it to his, he would say he was going to fix it and not to worry... let's just say to this day this problem still sits and steers my wife and I in the face to this day. Because it became way to exhausting trying to get these basic things fixed like they should have with new parts on e he say that it needed in the first place from Jack.... This was all in 2022 now this is a 2020 Toyota Highlander and we work from home, haven't been in any accidents besides this one freak tree falling on it over night from some extremely high winds. I wash the car by hand my self so no car wash to possibly cause and wear and tear on this plastic and rubber external parts. Now hacks paid we pick up our car and I see that none of that has been replaced or fixed.... Now on to 2023 we start getting water leaking on the left passenger side we call jack and inform him he tells us to bring the car in. We ask him to keep up informed on what he finds to be the problem and to please take pictures and send us to we know what causing the it. Let's just say jack never called, texted or even took pictures to show us. He tells us our car is done we pick it up he is not very clear on what he fixed or what he did to fix it. But he said it was nothing big just a clip and it's good now...... Here we are now it's may/june 2024 and the right passenger side is randomly leaking water we call jack and he say oh really. You can bring it in and I will see what's going on. Now my wife stats to jack please take pictures and keep us informed on what you find and what you have to do as you go please. She comes back to the car and I ask where is Jack is he not coming out she aid no so I go in and ask jack to talk for a second. I ask jack very politely can you please take pictures of the problems that's causing the leaking and please let us know what you are doing as you go along, because you told us last year that you checked everything and it's all fixed and we don't have to worry, but yet here we are again..... he said ok I will don't worry I will take care of it. Now picked up our car on Friday June 28th after 5, jack wasn't there he said he can't wait he had to leave at 5 " now he called at 2:30/3 pm est to say the car willl be ready soon and he is only there till 5 so we have to be there before 5" now I was at work in silver springs area when he told us this which was now around 3 pm. so we all know DMv traffic. Now he told me if there is any problems just call him back.. now I get our car home and inspect it...... and here we go again. So i decided to take a look at the roof rail on the right side where he would have had to look at and see where the leaking was coming from only to find that the rubber seals the site between the cars roof and the top rails is completely stretched and are not sitting flushed to the car or the rails like it should and Jack did not mention any thing about this read more

I had a scrape on my BMW from a parking garage pillar. I had previously had work done on it, but that person did not do a good job. Jack gave me a free estimate when I drove to his shop, and he was flexible with dropping off the car when I was ready to have him work on it. He finished the work within a week, and the previously scraped portions looked brand-new after he was done. Very professional, and pricing was very reasonable. I went to Jack's my first time to paint my bumper and it was good but bumper paint lasted 2 years and half until it started flaking off but not going to complaint it was only $250. Tried Jack the second time. He repainted my Subaru STI door, quarter panel and fixed my cracked bumper/repaint and kept some of the original paint and blend it. Oem paint is good so no complaints he did a good job. If you have an issue the first time and let him know he will take care of it. Jacks prices probably the best around. I am a returning customer and i am not happy with their service. When i first came here they repaired my front bumper; which effected my AC Condenser as well. They fixed that and changed some parts for it; this was last year. This year, For the past few month my AC stopped blowing cool air. I took my car to a different place to see what's up. They told me that my AC condenser is not working and that it was a second hand down parts. The technician said that they also forgot to place the rubber bands that hold the tubes/pipes in so i was also leaking some Refrigerant. My new auto shop suggested i go back to Jacks auto to see if there is an warranty on this part. so i did. Here is where the story gets crazy. I arrive 9am Saturday. Just to see if they had warranty on the part. The guy that was there must have been a technician; he told me that the guy i need to talk to isn't here but would be arriving soon. No problem! i can wait. The tech comes back stating he would arrive 10am. He suggested that i come back then; i told him i would stay because i live about 40min away. Here comes 10am , the tech comes back and apologizes that guy won't be there till 11am!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?! This is no way to treat a customer; This is a business and you shouldn't have your customer waiting for that long and the fact that you gave me a time of arrival made it even more ridiculous! Don't tell me when you will arrive but then not show up. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Be careful about interior, they might forget few important parts that can cause more money in the long run. read more

I have always had a fear of mechanics... I always felt they are in the best position to lie and manipulate their customers (esp. me who knows nothing about cars). This fear has been confirmed by many mechanics I've visited before. So I am SO glad that I finally found a shop that are full of good decent people who knows what they are doing and would always give honest answers and fantastic prices. I've come to Jack's a couple of times in the past few months (unfortunately) due to various reasons-hit and run accident, weird noises, bottom of car needs fixing, etc. Every single time, they have proven to do quality work and give me the best prices. I have called around and compared many prices and some times people say "oh it's $100 for a diagnostic before any work is done" or "$50 that goes towards the work." But Jack? He's like "what do you mean pay for a diagnostic? I'll take a look for free!" Amazing. Seriously, best prices, honest work. When presented with something I thought was out of my budget, they would give me other much cheaper options and tell me about all the alternatives. They do quick and quality work. I was rear ended and unfortunately had to pay out-of-pocket due to the other party lying to their insurance co. Luckily the damage wasn't terrible - just a pushed in bumper, broken tail light and reflector. Jack quoted me a very reasonable price and even completed the work same-day. While trying to rush and do an oil change, I tried to raise my car with a jack but unfortunately missed the jack point, which caused the bottom 3 inches of the fender to collapse inward as well as a ripped liner. This was one regrettable oil change that I wish I was more patient with. After researching on Yelp, I quickly stumbled upon Jack's. Upon meeting Jack Kim, he was very courteous and briefly walked me through the process and provided a very fair quote. I proceeded to go forward with it and of course had my share of doubts. I was about to be pleasantly surprised. When it came time to pick up my car a few days later, I could not believe the incredible work that was done. The fender was virtually perfect and they were able to get the liner repaired without needing to buy a replacement. This reduced the final total by about $75. Moreover, they applied some touch-up paint on residual scratches and gave the car a nice wash. It was gleaming happily when I saw it there waiting for me in their garage. Let's start of by saying that I'm totally INSANE when it comes to anyone working on my cars. I have a keen eye for good paint work, and was extremely concerned about where to get my Lexus painted after some inconsiderate neighbors left me needing repairs. Anyhow, I found Jacks on Yelp, and I'm glad I did. Dropped my car off and several days later came back good as new. While I was there Jack also fixed my flat tire (that i got on the way to driving there) and fixed my cracked tail lamp with some glue, all for free. This is my 3rd or 4th time coming back to Jack's to get the side-view mirror on my car replaced (thanks to the DC drivers who keep hitting it on the narrow streets of Georgetown!). I keep coming back because Jack is fast and honest. It is rare to find a businessperson with such integrity.
