I just fired Dr Jack's termite protection because I asked for the standard of bait trap inspections and, through an email and phone call, they refused to provide me the information I requested. After a tech performed a January inspection, I inspected bait traps and found half full of dirt. How can they ensure no activity if the green insert is full of sand? read more

You don't send bill to somebody never ask for service and don't know if we had service or not and bill us for it ! After got bill, We send emails which never got reply, phone is never answered. I have to give them credit , have been using them for about a year, and the lawn looks pretty good. Which surprises the hell out of me. We tried Trugreen, and about three others that never did the job. During those times the yard looked worse then before the service started. I had dug into the yard and saw some web worms gave a call and they cleared them out. on a special unscheduled trip and they arrived the next day. The grass is healthier, and green. My neighbors yard was over run by dollar weeds. I can usually take car of them but it takes me touching each one with a dab of roundup. I called the crew and told her i need some defense against the neighbors weeds, they went back there and sprayed a barrier that the dollar weeds couldn't break through! They are reasonably priced, good enough that it keeps me from buying chemicals that most of the time does not work. I also had a specific problem and didn't like the normal guys answer and requested the herbalist he showed up in a day looked over the issue and agreed to what the other guy said. So I followed the directions and the grass was cured. read more

Our lawn looks awesome!!! We have used Dr Jacks for years; to service our lawn as well as manage our pest control. In all aspects, this company is terrific!!! Our lawn always look great, and the few times I have had some concerns about possible lawn problems, the Dr Jacks team have quickly come out to have a look, and treated the concern accordingly. Same goes for pest control. Everyone on the Dr Jacks team is very friendly and knowledgable. From the ladies answering the phone, to the guys talking through my possible ant concerns, or yellow leafs on my citrus tree, to the guys that come out and actually provide the service - to the owner - this team is super. We moved to central Florida just over a year ago. There are SO MANY lawn care companies too many to chose from! So, I went for a walk around our neighborhood and observed peoples lawns. I found a lawn that looked great and asked the owners who took care of it...Dr. Jack's. I called them, they are very reasonable and there are no 'add on fees' for cinch bug protection. The guys who come out are SUPER helpful. They're probably tired of me, I ask SO many questions. Each time they spend time with me and explain the answers thoroughly. After one year of using them our lawn looks much much better. And, I just called them today because I believe we have a spot with web worms, they'll be out to treat it with in the week. Great service! All bugs that were in and around the home are gone. For example, there was a hard to reach area in front of the house where bees would nest. I have pest control and termite protection with Dr Jack's. I am so happy with the service. I am bug- free, and the technicians are great.....on time, really nice, and very thorough. When I have called the office, there is no being put on hold or transferred all over the place. They have great customer service,, which is rare these days. I switched a while ago from a national chain. Now I have much better service for a much better price, AND complete confidence that my home is protected, which I did not have before. I plan on adding yard service after I put in an irrigation system. It's VERY important to me not to have bugs. One of my co-workers switched to Dr. Jack 's too. You did not notify me of lawn care renewal and did an application without my authorization. I have been a pest control customer for 3 years- always prepay a year in advance, never had an issue. Never saw a bug. Tried the lawn care service, it didn't work, I told the tech I would try it for ONE year and see how it was then decide. I did not receive any notice of renewal. You did the first application for 2nd year without my auth; now you are demanding $54 for something I didn't approve. The rude Woman that answered your phone basically told me "too bad" You don't care that i've been a pest control customer for 3 years. So with a major attitude this person (Not Kelly- the other one) agreed with me that I would be better off to cancel all my services. So you throw away potentially years of prepaid pest control (hundreds of $$) instead of crediting $54 for something I didn't approve?? Not a smart way to conduct business! read more

Alienate your neighbors by using Dr Jack. The person cleaning the driveway blew all of the debris from the client's home down the street and proceeded to distribute all of the leaves and Spanish moss into the four surrounding yards rather than pick it up. read more

Terrible company. They workers failed to provide the service they were contracted to do. We ended up with cinch bugs that destroyed about a quarter of our lawn. It took me 6 months to get them to respond to my complaint & another 3 months to get them to re-sod. All the while they kept billing me for service I didn't receive, even after I had requested to cancel. When I failed to pay the bill they turned me over to a collection agency which eventually affected my credit. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! read more

I was a customer for 9 months and my lawn got progressively WORSE! Finally, their "experts" blamed it on under-watering, but after the dry spell when irrigation was fixed and rains came my lawn still looked like crap. Fired them. I changed my lawn pest control service to Dr. Jack's in April of 2009. They have an on staff horticulturist that was the key selling point in the service. At the time I had some issues with a black fungus on my podocarpus. Everything else looked pretty good. The yard started to show some issues with chinch bugs in June and i called Dr. Jack's immediately. They showed up 3 days later and sprayed. Problem not corrected, called again and had another service call. By August, my front yard is destroyed and i'm going to have to replace it. I've spoken with Dr. Jack's numerous times and the horticulturist agreed with the analysis. Today, October 20, 2009, my wife called to discuss replacement of the lawn. The horticulturist was out sick and she spoke with his boss. His boss was rude and said they wouldn't do anything even though they have a replacement guarantee.
