Clean building, helpful and friendly staff, especially the manager. Quick and pain free experience

My experience with the manager, Erin, has been consistently unprofessional and has negatively affected the businesses that share the building with Jackson Hewitt. The first interaction occurred when I had an appointment with a neighboring business. The door was closed and specific instructions had been provided regarding when to enter. Erin ignored those instructions, entered anyway, and responded with a stream of profanity when the situation was addressed. At the time, I was nursing my child. She then left the door open to the front entrance, leaving me visible to anyone passing by. After that incident, I left a review and was directed to a company hotline rather than seeing any meaningful accountability or improvement. Unfortunately, the behavior has only continued to deteriorate. The businesses in this building work hard to maintain a calm, professional, and fragrance-free environment for clients. Erin was repeatedly and politely asked over several months to stop using strong air fresheners and wax melts that affected neighboring businesses and their clients. Rather than improving the situation, tensions have escalated. Most concerning is the apparent lack of regard for security and professionalism. I have personally observed Erin's boyfriend, who is not an employee, being given access to the office, including times when the office was closed. He has had access to the workspace, keys, and company computers. I have also witnessed him shouting obscenities at other professionals in the building. For a business that handles highly sensitive personal and financial information, this raises serious concerns. Tax preparation companies routinely possess Social Security numbers, income records, banking information, and other confidential documents. Seeing a non-employee with access to the office and equipment would make me uncomfortable as a client. If I were a customer of this location, I would strongly consider requesting confirmation of who has access to my records and monitoring my credit reports and accounts for any irregularities. While I have no direct knowledge that any client information has been misused, the lack of professional boundaries and apparent disregard for security practices would be enough to make me take precautions. The ongoing issues appear to stem from management and have created unnecessary conflict for neighboring businesses. Professionalism, respect for others, and basic courtesy should be expected from anyone representing a company. Based on my experience, those standards have not been met at this location. read more

This company doesnt stand behind their work worst tax service i have ever recieved i would NOT recommend this company. They tell you 1 thing and dont follow threw . Their tax person messed up my taxes in 2018 and i gave them 3 years to make it rite. They did not resolve my issue i owe almost 1000 dollars in back taxes do to their employee filing the wrong stuff and they refuse to make it rite if there was lower than 1 star you would have recieved it . Spend hundreds of dollars to get my taxes filed and they mess up and dont back their work i would recommend avoiding this company read more

Kim was absolutely amazing! Very friendly and knowledgeable. She went ubove and beyond to ensure I got the most out of my refund. Very easy to talk to and very professional. Explained everything in detail so I understood. The office was clean and she was smiling and friendly from the second I walked in. I will be usuing this location every year now! read more

It has been a few years since my bad experience but will never go back to jackson hewitt. They got more money than I did being right out of high school and it took over 6 months to get a check. Finally they reached out to me on Facebook for my check. When I went in she was rude so I gave it right back and as I was leaving the manager called me a nasty bitch. Keep in mind this was a few years ago and I called to report her but they said sorry and there was nothing they could do since she was the only employee working most days since it was almost fall when I received my check. I go somewhere now where I'm not charged more than half of what I'm getting back too read more

My mistake was thinking a tax preparer would be the way to go. I usually use turbo tax and should have this time as well. We had two amendments from the IRS for previous years and I didn't know how to do them. So we went to JH the staff was friendly but that's where it stops. They did nothing with the amendments saying that they weren't relevant. So they just had basic taxes to do. No deductions only the EIC. We never got a solid answer as to how much it would cost until they looked at them. I get that but you'd think if it was really expensive they would call right? Nope when went to pick them up Kim said that it was $400. It wasn't until I got the tax forms that it was in fact $475. I went back because there wasn't an itemized invoice of any kind in the packet. I asked for an invoice and Kim went to her computer and came back and verbally told me $400 when I said the form said $475 she said "oh, yeah". I told her that I felt we had been overcharged she went and got the owner Tom. I told him how I felt and was told that because of fraud that we are charged more with the EIC. And there was nothing he could do. Absolutely do not go here unless you get everything done in writing up front. And even then I wouldn't recommend them at all. read more
