The woman who was supposed to help us had to leave and I could hear her talking to another woman about helping us but the other woman didn't want to. We were told to just come back the next morning. We did and finally got set up. The person who got our account started was friendly so I give them a star for that. Lately I have been trying to start teen accounts and it has been very difficult. I tried calling the bank but it goes to one central spot and they were unable to set up an appointment for me to get an account started. Someone was supposed to call me and I did eventually get one phone call. I missed that call because I was in an important staff meeting. I have called that person back no less than three times and haven't heard back. I finally stopped in to the Whitefish branch but was told the person who could help me would call me back. That never happened. I call again and am told I should just do everything online but the online experience isn't very intuitive and I have to upload things when I already have an account started. Why do they need someone like my passport? I am so tempted to find a different bank but I have already started a checking and CD. There definitely needs to be some adjustments in the operations of the bank and how they follow up with customer service.

This is not a good bank. After opening an account, they forgot to send my debit card for 2 months. Then, when I did need to activate it in an emergency, they had inactivated my account. I was unable to access my money from my debit card even after an hour invested in going to the branch and speaking with them. During the 30-minute wait the receptionist gave me to talk to a banker, I signed up for a new account at whitefish credit Union next door who had three bankers available. It doesn't seem like many people are empowered to do critical things. I used this debit card as a backup but I'm finding the bank to be too chaotic even for that.

They've come thru for me when I needed money and waived fees when I occasionally mess up. I've had both business and personal accounts here. They don't offer construction loans, but besides that, I don't know why anyone would go elsewhere for banking services unless you like paying more money and want to have all sorts of limitations on your accounts. Like how low your account balances can go without getting charged, higher interest rates, etc. They know have automated tellers which make banking transactions much quicker. But you can do mostly everything on their mobile app now, like deposit checks up to $5000. After all these years, I'm still very pleased with their service. Parkside is a smart choice.

Since I decided to attempt to purchase my first house, which I had a small fraction of ownership in already, this transaction was both not straight forward and somewhat complex as it was my first house purchase. Ed and his team were amazing at coming up with solutions that would work for all parties, the seller, and the buyer and all involved. I am not from Montana, but it was an excellent experience in dealing with a location that I was not familiar of and somewhere which I will now call home.
